In this video I have a look at a 2009 Chevy Impala 3.5l that was dropped off with a complaint of, no PRNDL display, engine light, ABS and trac light on. The code stored in the engine module is "Internal Mode Switch 'B' Circuit High Voltage." After developing a diagnostic game plan it does not take us long to track down the problem. 🐭-Enjoy!

Okay so when I replaced my tcm the car came on didn't have the box around the gears it also wouldnt even let me take it out of gear either. So I looked at the wires that lead from the tcm and some of them were chewed up going towards the transmission so I was assuming it was that. So I redid all the wires and the car won't start up 😭

Can anybody please tell me why my 2011 Chevy Impala speedometer is reading to me my door is open and it is completely shut? Please it's inspection month I don't know what to do. The interior lights stay on because it says door is not shut even when I get out so I took the interior lights fuse out but then now one of my blinkers isn't working I've changed the bulbs and even went back to my new bulb and three of the four blinker lights were working and then I put the interior lights fuse back in just to see if it would work and it worked to make all four blink again for the turn signal. What do I do

I just had an issue with mine and this video saved me so much money cause a several mechanic shops couldn't figure out what was wrong. As they were saying everything tested fine. One shop even said it might be the transmission but it was a brand new transmission. That worked fine for a month or so before the issues with the box on the gears.

One thing that stands out for me is I’ve seen a number of SMA videos where rodents are the cause of the problem, apparently that NewYork state is awash with rodents. I read stories of rats as big as cats ruling NY city and in a little town not close to the city is having rodent issues too. Is NewYork state that infested with Rodentia?

I removed the transmission on one to put in the rear main seal now I have this problem and I have no idea what it is there no ripped wires
The best part is that more than half of the shops in the country would've told you that you needed a full transmission rebuild, because that sensor is internal to the transmission. And the rest of the shops would've just cleared the code because they couldn't find what it meant. Good diag Mr. O!

If you were lucky, the linkage would be the issue.

A friend of mine bought a brand new Nissan Altima and a week later the check eng light came on. back to the dealer and they found the main harness, battery case, and other plastic was eaten. over 1600 dollars of damage, not covered by the warrantee. Soy based insulation. yummy yummy. He is paranoid now and putting rodent repellent in the eng compartment

Looked on the old Amazon and I did not see the Honda Rodent tape being offered there any more. However you should be able to pick up a roll from your local Honda dealer .
