"Give me back my socket…"
I know that song, but I like their earlier stuff better.
Love me some Peter…..wait a minute? That didn't sound too good…🤣
ave is the best
If you're doing all of this work, what work does the body shop actually do?
Someone must hate Dodge trucks to do that(no note on windshield) and just drive away.
Why are the rotors not coming off.. they look pretty new n clean
I have never replaced an axle. Seems like more stuff attached than I thought. Seems within my skill abilities but without a lift it would be a long couple days.
Is this the new Ocean's eleven cast preparing for their next heist?
that link looked pretty light duty …made from welded sheet metal tube ? suspension part ???
AvE is everyones hero.
Sent her a Lil too hard 🤣
Truck should have been totaled out by the insureance company.
What they are called is organ donor parts
It seems to me that with a little bit of steel, someone could make a "claw" that could go onto the top of that jack that could grip the axle and then a single person could take it off and move it around without the need for others to stabilize.
Just a random thought.
The older a person gets the more wobbly bits they aquire hahaha
i was hearing tons of AVE's vernacular through watching your backlog but I figured it was just more ubiquitous in general. Glad to know someone else who enjoys that crazy canuckistani.
You never relise the hand brake adjuster???
It's good information but his snarky and sarcastic tone all the time is tiresome and annoying. I unsubscribed and do not want to hear him being a wiseacre any longer.
I enjoy your videos but they would be 100% better if you always showed the final product. I would like to see the bent axel and see the final repair rolling off the floor.
I did the samé thing on a VH commodore, it had sand in the diff unt was disk braké rear. I swapped it with a VC commodore rear endé how-ever thatt was a drum braké modél. I had to remove the half shaft tho from the VH as the shafts were different Bet-Wéên dusqué untt Drumm. I Managéd to gett it inn all ok unt it worked wunder-fully 👍👍
I cud arm curl that 1/2 ton axle…
Its funny…. I have what looks to be a "used car lot" in my driveway, yet I'd much rather sit here and watch you do the struggle…lol
have you done any videos about abs systems
I can't imagine what it's like working on such a clean nice non rusty Florida vehicle…… Up here in PA well let's just say gotta use more than a tappy tap 🤣
ray how come you get all the easy jobs lol
I have done three of these and the emergency cable I always had to fight
For my own safety I probably would have deflated that tire first thing, especially since it had obvious damage and just things waiting to puncture it.
I hate those two piece lug nuts! That's why I replaced all of mine with 1 piece nuts from American truck, got them for $20!
Ave is my royal Canadian stuperhero !
I had an S10 I had to do the same thing to. Thank god for alignment pins or post.
What is a mechanic's life without wobbly sockets..
Would air tools be better than those battery Milwaukee's?
Used parts in a 2 year old truck? What body shop is this? Are they billing the insurance company for a new axle and giving the customer a used one?
If it got hit that hard, none of the brake components or trailing arms should be reused, in my opinion anyway.
Wow is the guy with the knife on his belt expecting trouble or is it for non paying customers?😮
I would have lowered the truck down as far as possible on the last 2 bolts…that gravity thing ya know 🙂 4 guys makes it easier to pick off the jack but still easier if the trucks down low to the ground. As for the crash…I dont think that bed side will buff out:-)
Dude what is the matter with you always strap down that much weight to the lift! One wrong move and you could lose a limb!
In my way of thinking, it was much safer to have four lifting it then someone getting hurt. I've worked with differentials before. Not very light and can easily get in trouble before you know it. Thumbs Up!
Good reporting
Last Spring the rear end exploded on my truck. long story short, after I brought the truck, i heard noise back there, and I even had the fluid checked, it was full. i drive it for about 5 years and one day it exploded and put me on the side of the road. The guy that opened it up, it was still full of fluid but gears busted all over inside. Put a new used one in, it is silent compared. also they made sure to put the right lube in it, i now suspect the first one needed.
Ray does a great job with the editing and camera angles all while doing his job!
LOL why would they sell an axle marked "core"?? Somebody screw up?
where is 'Tiny' when you need him……
I seen a guy doing the same thing on a pickup truck on the same style lift when he dropped the rear end out it made the rear end light and the truck did a nose dive off the lift it was not a good thing for me I would be putting a jack on the front of that truck you never knew
That truck will never ride right. Too much damade.
Yaknow, Peter sounds like he might even know what he's doing
emergency brakes on!
Wouldn't his insurance pay for a new axle?
WELD IT UP AND SEND IT
