I was checking my bushing this morning when my wife walked in on me and demanded to know – WHY? I pointed to this video… She turned around and walked out muttering "Why didn't I listen to my father?"
Just checked… my bushings are pretty pissed off that they are not subscribed to your channel but I sent them your link and they are not biushing anymore!!
I was in a hit and run the alast week. My tire looked exactly like that blue nissan. The control arm snapped in two i turned the wheel and the entire thing yanked out my hand to that side i knew after the hit she was gonna need repairimh cost 2k for all repairs
I watched a video of yours where you changed your shocks. I notice on the Jeep that shocks are both on rear side of the rear axle. On your truck they were on opposite sides of the axle. Comments mentioned axle wrap. Is that what is happening here?
Risking your camera to perfect a repair.. that’s dedication to your profession… and also to us YT viewers. That looked scary as you were driving..I was waiting for something to fall off.
Just wanted to say as a person who changed careers from being a vet tech to automotive technician, you keep teaching me critical inspection tips and procedures that make me a better tech. So thank you deeply for your videos. Please keep being you. You are an amazing technician!
Wow Ray! I didnot expect to see what we saw when you had us on the chassis cam! Never would have realized how much side to side twisting movement we would see! I do wonder about my bushings now!
I had a 1985 Russian Lada I bought new for $ 5325.00 all in when I got out of College in Canada. The LADA rode like a jeep and it was a solid car. So I thought we might as well take it to key west because I'm sure the Americans will stock whatever I could need at the Auto Zone store. The stick shifter broke off in my hand in on 1-75 in the mountians so I had to go into the forrest to carve a new one. The radiator core leaked into the front passenger floor.( Daytona Beach ) The muffler fell off because it was 3 months old ? ( Macon Georgia ) The windows would drop into the doors. ( Duck Tape them ) My new $ 500.00 sterio blew up and almost blinded me while I was listening to CCR " Have you ever seen the rain." …………..of parts scattered around the car. Now I have a Tacoma but the Lada crap car made for many great memories and I want to send a shout out to all the Tow guys and the Canadian Tire Garage that kept me on the road till I paid for that car.
Usually a mechanic would just shake down the suspension and call it day. Your level of detail is astounding. If I lived close to your business… I’d be a customer. Good job sir
Ray in Maine here. Love your videos. In our crazy times, your humorous, suggestive (I checked my bushings this morning) mean a lot more than you realize. I bet you have a great family. You should do a poll on what color gloves you look best in. I pick blue. 😆
Great camera work. I'd think having video evidence is more useful that just making a best guess. Of course there's always the guy who'll pass on repairs because it isn't broken yet.

Alldata says "to diagnose, attach a gopro under the vehicle and upload to youtube"
I think our economy has a clunking noise!

Great Video..As always..
Worn trackbar and steering dampener is a good thing to check when it comes to death wobble
I need a t-shirt with "How are YOUR bushings doing today?" on it!
Awesome cinematography. Of course you did not hear me scream ohhhh noooo Mr bill as we got strapped to the tow bar. Lmao
The Car Wizard can tell if it's transmission oil or engine oil by tasting it.
wow
So this is what they were talking about when it came to self driving cars.

Sound like Ray Ray is definitely color blind
Balll joint looking solid!
Uh…..👀
All Jeeps should be crushed and used in the building of breakwaters
Superb diag on the Jeep👍
It's a TJ!!! I love TJs. My other favorite is the YJs..
Nice footage, but for the sake of teaching you could've shown how to use a pry bar to test the bushings, that's a lot quicker as well
Shocked it didn't rip apart further.
Wonderful video under the jeep. great teaching point.
Dumb idea . Coil springs for a smooth ride
very creative use of the gopro
Vey good innovative diagnostic tool using your camera! I bet there aren't too many other techs that could pull that trick off easily.
That was cool

It's disgusting how cheaply made the suspension components have become on Jeeps in the last 40 years. And this one has probably never been offroad.

It's the diagonal stabilizer.quite typical for these rust buckets.

The best and most honest mechanic in Florida ray I wished I lived in Florida cause you would get to take care of all my vehicles,
Just empty every pocket! Jeep….
I'm just ignoring bushings until they reach up on smack me in the face
He bought a jeep.
Poor Bloke.
Only joking nothing overtly wrong with jeeps.
Guy must have hammered this vehicle during it's like time with him. Off roading heavily? Ehh, could be.
You know your sht well.
Very good. Done excellent.
Well my bushings, my struts and my shocks are worn. And the car really drives like shit. I need to replace them.
With those wheels sticking out past the body it wouldn't be allowed on the road in England. What a death trap.
Had a ‘64 IH Travelall with a sheared pin holding the rear axle in place on the leaf spring. It dog-walked like that on acceleration and deceleration.
What setup do you have for attaching a camera to the underside?
Great camera work. I'd think having video evidence is more useful that just making a best guess. Of course there's always the guy who'll pass on repairs because it isn't broken yet.
4.0's are the best….
Jeep.. a by word for dreadful.
Just Empty Every Pocket
Solid axles susp are a thing of beauty as they are nor that complicated. But when they fail, they will let you know violently (death wobble).
Great job as always
978,000 to go. This IS happening!
