Why am I so fascinated about these videos? I know nothing about cars, have never attempted any repairs and never will, and only check my oil level when I realize it's been months. And all this for being the original owner of a 1990 MB 560SEL
Hard to Believe welding in shop with many potential explosive, fire hazards close by……like in-tank fuel pump being replaced two bays over ! Lotsa good internet Moms welding tips for Ray…. really folks. Welding, as with any hand skill is only learned by experience. Osmosis via internet ?…. not so much.
Wow, you are a really bad welder. Like I only ever welded in high school and that was like 20 years ago, but yikes. I wonder if I’d be just as rough now…. Maybe that should be my next adhd fix
LOL !!!!… yeah you suck at welding just like me before .When I was a beginner, but practice practice make you a better welder , specially stainless steel with argon gas . Help you weld better and seal tight on galvanized steel
I don't think this repair is gonna last, due to the fact that when an exhaust starts leaking, it's time to replace it. The iron is very thin, welding is difficult and the time and labour to weld it makes it almost as expensive as replacing it for a new one. 'pennywise, pound foolish', as the English say. I'm from Holland, by the way
I’ll never EVER buy cats again idc if it’s my daily or not I’ll cut the damn thing and just weld a piece of pipe. If you live somewhere where cops might give you trouble if it’s to loud, just cut a flap in the cat get a piece of rebar and hammer and go to town busting up the crap inside and weld back up the flap so it still looks like you got one
Your a mechanic not a welder the customer should be happy the leak is fixed, or he could pay a welder to make it look pretty then pay you to reinstall it
Stupid Cats anyway. And that core is half plugged up. Blow out the cats with a live air hose in reverse. Do not look into the cats while doing this…..😂 Poof ! And you’ll taste burnt platinum for a year… 😂👍
I forgive you for your weld job, but it will hold, hard to weld that thin stuff, your short tacks got penetration and you didn't blow any holes, good enough to last, next it will be the other end,
If you are in MA the union shop, you can not weld the muffler, you have to force the customer to buy the whole exhaust system. I originally in MA and I moved out in 1995. In Southern California, we weld the muffer, it cost only $25.00 in in the getto shop.
Neat you weld like I do. I have half a car welded like that been driving 20 plus years and I am not ashamed of the welds or how the car looks. : ) Old 1967 mustang coupe 200 I6. Drove it up to Washington state from Northwest Florida. It's been in a lot of Seattle traffic too. C4 automatic and 4 wheel drum brakes. No a/c no power steering. No power brakes. The whole car is very ugly but very oem. Easy to work on and repair as you can guess. Have a great day, love the videos you make, click : )
Factory emissions equipment is required to last 7 years. I think that's Federal Law. I could be wrong? As far as your birdsit weld: no worries…for atleast 10 years!
I’m glad you stepped into the camera for minute so I could put a face to the voice. I have to say you don’t look like I expected. Keep up the great work. I really enjoy the videos.
Please don't video any sort of mig, arc or tig welding as it will burn the lens and chip set in your camera. I'm a video guy and it cost me dearly when I did it.

It is amazing to look at this video made a year ago and to see the amount of improvement made in your current videos. Experience is a teacher.
What lubricant were.
you using there Ray?
Don't forget to top up the bumper fluid! 😂
Yeah I’d let you fix my exhaust if I had a split in something. I know I will burn a hole in it and if it’s already broke?
Wow, you are a really bad welder. Like I only ever welded in high school and that was like 20 years ago, but yikes. I wonder if I’d be just as rough now…. Maybe that should be my next adhd fix
"hum… it broke sitting in the parking lot" 😂🤣😂

Up north people fill their truck beds with snow for traction. This leads to some very leaky bumpers
Can you tell us how much these projects cost while doing them, I mean at least an estimated. Please
OMG!! All the taillight fluid is leaking out, quick catch it!!

When tig welding anything you should block the bright light cause its not safe for viewers to look at
Did he atleast change the muffler bearing? 😂
Wobbly bits are good, they make the best gf's
I have heard that bumper liquid can be used as blinker fluid. Have you tried this?
Great job, 👍.. it worked.
Yea … i think you can take a course at welding … 😀
gettin a dislike because there was no fire

Well that was new i have never ever loosened or moved the sway bar to do the Y pipe on a Chevy
Remember: GM WAS making several Cheverolet and GMC pickups..in MEXICO, so the parts must be GENUINE FACTORY PARTS (Made in Mexico)
those welds may be a deterrent for tweakers. they could think someone was here and gutter the cats.

Oh God. The welds. Lol
Man you got it nice. Minnesota shit makes all fastener removals reaaaallly fun.
Core is ceramic… you will NOT melt it.
What video?
Customer left his junk truck in your parking lot because he had no place else to store it.
Did you ever tighten up the sway bar linkage at the tire
