My uncle ran a small garage, he had a rule, if it rains rust when bumped with a hammer then it’s for the scrapyard. He’d fix anything but rusted structural parts. He ran a repair garage not a resto shop.
That truck defines “abused and put away wet”
Customer states makes grinding noise…. mentions nothing about the death wobble. Why not? It's a feature not a problem. Lol
oh my god, that end video, brought me back to 13 years old, watching scrambled skinamax channel to see its and bits every so often
Ray, do you live in Fla? How do these car frames get so bad? Is it common to drive in the surf in Fla? I know there's no state inspection in Fla. Looking at these frames I'm not sure that's a good thing.
Here in tx, its usually the opposite cause the under carriage is usually caked in an inch or so of oil and grease cause there's never oil in the engine. U could put these cars next to the titanic and they'd be there long after its gone
I like you restraint! I do a lot of my own work-definitely NOT A MECHANIC but I have managed for 40 years. When ALSO I talk to the equipment and various parts I use much more colorful language. Doesn't help get the job done but makes me feel better. LMAO
Love that ending 🤷♂️💪🏻
That subaru tho. Yaiks
beach driver i bet.i lived by the beach in ca. got to wash it good.
Master Mechanic: Why can cars go fast? Good brakes!
There are only two types of vehicles –
Ones that could use some attention and –
Nope come to think of it, there's only one type.
The last minute or so reminds me of when I was a kid and dad got a huge satellite dish and that's what I'd see when looking at scrambled channels…. 12yo me going "I SAW A BOOB!" LOL, imagining I could see what was going on…
instead of gravity why not say space/time
Ive driven some sketchy shit before but damn.
When you said it it chose option three I laugh my ass off
How old are these cars with rusted out frames
Would be interesting as to what customers said after they were given the sad news. Does anybody show them the corpse and explain why it can't be fixed?
"My Corolla just started making that noise (after I stopped playing my music volume eleven)."
Seeing the brake block took me back! I had the same exact thing roll up. I laughed my ass off at you man sorry
hey mate get some contact cleaner spray can for all those plugs you seem to get corroded one squirt in the plug and you are okay to go
The "Bent Drywall Screw Mod" when you know you're fancy!
I'm dying here….
Do you not have a inspection that is mandatory by the state that will stop vehicles rusted that badly on the roads
I just feel bad for the children of those car owners. When they see this video and recognize Daddy your mommy's car. And they know they're still driving it
Every time the phone rings makes my day. I love rays ring impression. 🤘✌️
Remind me never to buy a Subaru. I can’t tell whether they’re genuinely designed and built crappy or if their owners are always people who do no maintenance whatsoever.
You should blurt out their face when you give them the bad news just so we get to see their reactions lol
Hehe, he said Flippy floppy, tehee!
"I Igor, fix Subaru brake GOOD!"
I have been wrong before once, but I may have been mistaken. -rr
Flashlight.. gravity
its a toss up between the corolla and the boobaroo….
Idk man I’d get some tube pipe and start welding things to the engine block at least.
You need a needle descaler. The dust is minimal and you don't remove any material than rust.
I am sure that the dipstick would be in good condition and could be used in a new vehicle. It would not have been worn out from overuse. The rest of the "vehicle" would be too far gone for any value at the junk yard.
I may be missing something, but wouldn't the last clip be fixable with replacing the brake lines?
Haven't tackled that particular task myself, hence why I ask.
I wish I was in auto mechanics. These aircrafts come in with fucking sand castles in the floor beams and we are expected to clean all that shit out for inspection.
Do you ever show your inspection videos to the customer to show the NEED for repairs?
Now I know why after seeing no brakes Subaru that all these crashes happen on dash cams. Holy hell Rainman.
I'm surprised painting/coating the frame isn't part of basic maintenance to stop frames from deteriorating. (esp places up north like Michigan, NY, Maine, etc…).
You offer to swap frames? Save the body junk the frame
The Subaru I would've considered getting 2 line unions and a new brake line to replace that back passenger corner. You bet they'd be signing that waver beforehand though. Commercially it was safer to just turn it away though. Could've been a misery pit.
Yeah about a year ago making a fucking noise
cars like that are on the road? oh my…
That truck looks like what we have at the coal mines.
And here I was, freaking out after I learned that my completely dry and uncracked original factory hydraulic flex lines to each wheel (in my 1990 Suburban), should be replaced about every ten years or so…and then to see the crapstorm of your patients on your operating table…
i don't understand for the life of me how you're so chill, lol. When i work on my vehicle i have at least 19 mental breakdowns every time haha.
