I have a 2001 Toyota Tundra, with 65k miles and have always had the oil changed at a dealer. Then at age 74 and when Oil Changing prices went up so much. I decided to change it myself, and saw that they had broken the splash cover in several places and stripped sever bolts out. So much for having "PROFESSIONAL's DOING A GOOD JOB. You do put out good videos, thanks.

Literally one of the easiest thing to do is check the oil level, such idiots that don't and then complain their engine is totalled.
It was probably intermittent oil starvation.
Is there actually a point to all those covers other than making the owner think it can only be worked on at a shop?

Yeah, oil is the first place I would have gone. I cannot believe how dumb some folks have gotten about maintenance. Last time I stopped by my mechanic, they were doing an engine swap on a car that hadn't had an oil change in 10,000 miles. Meantime, my 21 year old Town and Country, with a quarter million miles on it has never missed a 3500 mile oil change, is still reliable, and doesn't burn oil. We've also replaced the valve cover gasket a couple of times. I don't tolerate any oil leaks. Maintenance is always cheaper than a car payment with interest.
I have owned one of this car since new and it’s notorious for burning oil. I installed an oil catch can and oil pan spacer to add another quart of oil in the engine. I change my oil every 6000 miles with synthetic oil and it’s been reliable for 145k

Is this a comedy channel or what? 1 quart of oil comes out from the engine and after a refill the oil level is 3x over the max. Hmmmm. And "dude you blew up this engine hahahaa". I mean really?
only thing I can see is ,,is there an liability if you were out just driving the car before you performed any work if the motor will blow up because of no oil should it be routine to check the oil before said test is taken
Man infinitis are almost ad bad as Nissan in my book now seeing how garbage they are at only mid life 100k miles. Look at the cracked dash like an eggshell too, poorly engineered cars.
