Question can you hear the bad bearings with out using that tool and be able to hear it by putting your ear near it and Spain the tire ? Or do the wheel brings have to be Rilly bad to hear with just your ear. I have a nether Question what is name an model of that ( cool tool knife ) 👍
Start using some lube on the bolts at assembly. It will make it easier for you and the next mechanic working on the vehicle.

Can you please correct your references to nut retaining pins. They are NOT cotter pins. Most you replace are split pins but you have also replaced an R clip and called it a cotter pin….
