Do you know not to get a rear windshield wiper to work again on that type of truck.
This is to the guy making the video or anyone who would k ow please help me i have a 7 month old daughter who rides in the back and sweats and im cool as a fan up front im javing a hard time locating the resistor for the rear ac vents i have a 2002 dodge durango slt please help theres hardly any air that blows out any of the 4 vents in the back i have 3rd row seats ao 4 vents in the back and ive took the control panel off in the back and didnt see a resistor help please 2544992368 txt or call 🙂 thanks

I have an ‘02 that blew the resistor, and when I went diving in salvage for a new one and a new harness, they were just about out of those…super common issue. Currently, the blower constantly runs even with the switch off, and high doesn’t work (like off is 1, and 4 is off)…seems the switch is now backwards. 🤷♂️ No big deal, just the knock around spare car.
What would you suggest if my dads same year Durango blows on 1,2,3 speed but on the 4th it cuts off completely. He replaced the resister and it seems to be blowing harder now on the third setting but when you go to 4th max speed blower more cuts out completely

Loved the video looking forward to fixing that blower motor it’s 110° in the shade in Arizona LOL. I suspect it’s a loose wire because you’ve rolled out everything else. I’m a disabled vet and the fix looks like it something I should be able to do. Wish me luck brother!

Your pretty dam good! Good job. I just wish yous would explain more in detail, step back step. Like for example, are you going through the back glove compartment to even get to the wiring? After all we arent all mechanic literate like you! :P.

I'm in a 2003 Dakota 4.7 4×4..same thing..two days ago started blowing resistors.original fan when carefully removed doesn't turn freely, but works poorly…..The connector on harness to resistor burned right two terminals, as heat melted them…It all began when i repeatedly started /turned off engine a few times..Then replaced resistor again, it lasted three blocks driving this time. No blown fuses.. Trying to understand which relay is involved under hood or left of dash,however….Tonight replacing motor,resistor, and harness.Hope it doesn't smoke itself the instant i turn the fan control.Have been in habit of leaving fan where set (on) when turning truck off…soon as turned engine on poof!….I sure hope the 16-year-old fan is /was drawing to much,etc…I removed fuses to cigarette lighter ….Great video…..!! my compliments…

I have a 2002 dodge Durango n my heater in front dnt work it was working one morning n smelled like wires burning n stop but my back heater still works not the front tho
It would seem to me that the owner of the Durango would have a case against the other shop that shotgunned the problem with no result. If it was my vehicle, I would demand a refund of all charges. Ineptness on the part of the shop does not constitute a penalty on my part. Any possibility of a follow up to find out if the customer was able to recoup his unwarrented charges?
This blower setup just arrived at my shop. It appears the blower motor needs to be replaced. This is another engineering marvel.
Goin thru the same thing right now; swapped the resistor, put in new fan motor, put in new climate control switch, #7 slot fuse in the driver door side of dash is new, relay in engine bay is new. rear window wiper and rear defrost work, but fan motor doesnt. When i swapped in the new fan motor i plugged it into the harness and tested it before reassembling the cover and it worked fine. As soon as everything was back together and i fired up the truck…no more fan. But my rear wiper and defrost still work, and the fuse is still good. 🤬🔫
Great Video! Key words, " What else is on the circuit?" I used to hate it when the aftermarket people tied in their "stuff" to a fused circuit, instead of fusing it with a separate fuse. Another thing was using a 20 Amp fuse for their "stuff", on a vehicle circuit fused with a 10 AMP FUSE! Gee, which one blew first?
