Come along with Eric O. at the SMA shop and let's have a look at this 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.6 liter that was bounced around between shops and ended up at ours with a poor running / misfire complaint and a code P2308 "Ignition Coil 3 Secondary Circuit - Insufficient Ionization" and see if we can diagnose it.

And how many mechanics couldn't diagnose this?
Wish you would remember, not everyone has the great scan tools you have.Been figuring problems out like this for years, just with a test light and a multi meter.
The proverbial can of worms Eric 😳😳
How do you know the difference if the problem from the Camshift or it is from the spark plugs?
Good case study Eric O I'm still Curious about the Second Firing Event On Cylinder 1 🤔 @SouthMainAutoRepairLLC
Went to have an oil change done and it now acts And runs like Poo Sounds like they took it to a Jiffy Lube 🤣🤣 Eric O @SouthMainAutoRepairLLC
look at the condition of this car, the van was in 2 shops( now 3), and they didn't care, that's why i try to learn and repair my own cars, i believe a lot of the time car goes to shop( some of them) and comes out worse.
You are a true Nina master
Hey grin go how goin

Mine doesn't shake that crazy. Mines a V6 dodge caravan 15. Misfire on cylinder 6. Changed coil and sparks.

Hello my friend, you are a successful and distinguished person. I wish you good luck and success. I am from Iraq. My car is a 2013 Ford Taurus. Can you shoot a video on how to change the 2013 Ford Taurus engine seats?
I wish I knew half as much as you have forgotten!
I dont even think most of this is English
I'm learning a lot of handy skill by watching your channel. Thanks a lots Eric.
My abs and break and cruce control why do they tern on and it terns off in a stop
Great job Eric.
"lets just hope it's a broken wire because then we can fix it today in one little video"
me in the future staring at 39 minute part 2 and 34 minute part 3 on my queue
Cheers for the awesome videos SMA!
Yeah can be depressing how some people treat things. I bought a WR450 for a trail thrasher. Out of habit I went to change all fluids… and found over half a dozen destroyed threads so far. Little tiny 7 ft lb m6 bolts going into soft alloy that have been swung on and come out with lots of alloy shaved threads. Helicoil time! ;p
Mitchell. Blah
Hay eric o just saying love your show i watch them every day love your technecks. On how you do thing i have a 93 silverado 4×4 id gladley let you work on it bud keep up the good work your frend jim carty from st louis mo
Your Da man
I'm with you I hate working a car that somebody has worked on
You monster! Poking wires .
Interesting to watch the diagnosis/detective work
The Emperor's new air filter. Better flow than K&N and protects just as well without the risk of the filter oil fouling your MAF sensor!
I assume the other shop still gets paid for all the damage they did. Ridiculous!
I'd have to agree on the poor workmanship mannerisms of many repair shops. My vehicles have lots of plastic interior and exterior locations as well as mechanical and from past experiences, they break the little locking tabs on every connection they touch, crack plastic parts where there is a fastener securing them down due to over tightening them and simply general man handling brittle parts that are very difficult to replace and simply say "Well they're old and brittle, we can't do nuthin about that". Well guess what? It didn't come into your shop that way so, you can replace everything you damaged. They have no etticut what so ever. You'd think they would get the impression a very clean car under the hood etc. would be a joy to work on but no, they rumble through the vehicle as if it were out of the junk yard. They are about as useful as RATS eating away on your car parts.
As James Rolfe would say:
The car runs like AAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!
Dealing with the public God I feel for you people are evil.
Torque converter Problem
Man whatever you do don’t buy a Chrysler
I like your videos a lot. I'm really scared tho. I really care about my car, it's kind of my pride and joy. I need a good mechanic. What you show on video really makes me nervous. The guy I used to use, forgot to secure a wheel on my sister's car and acted like it was "no big deal" so I'm on the hunt for a new shop. Accidents happen but they way it was handled was also unacceptable. Now I'm worried about taking my car in and it ends up hacked to pieces. I wish you weren't 4.5 hours away, man.
I have a question.. If I buy a PCM with the same part number will it still need to be programmed because of the vin number?
And also I found one at the auto wrecker but it was off of a Chrysler 300 3.6L. Will that also work???
No air filter and no oil cap either.
Another reason why I wish you were close to us. Hate part swappers…
Reviewing old videos… this was great. I like your process. KISS.
The story about the other shops. When all else fails, they turn to the good mechanic/technician.
Mongo break!
lol eric kinda like a woman dont like working on it when its been touch lmao
Would welding ground it to the wrong spot cause electronics computer go bad as far as shorting it out
can you not switch the Eeprom to keep the proper vin to match the vehicle. That is what we did in the old days.
I’m just wondering where do you get the wiring diagrams from. Does it cost money.
