Man I just keep finding cool videos that you make anyways thanks so much now I know how to pull the dash out of my Dodge I'm replacing the dash pad and I got to fix the heater your lifesaver
Wish my 2015 camaro was that easy. Haha.
When Eric tells you there's not much to it; pretty straightforward, Look out, you are way over your head.
Where are you and how much to fix my heater core in my dodge 2500 2010 sst
It's so super simple to get that steering column out at that point.
My whole life, I've never found anything more ironic than doing three times the work in the name of laziness.
Thanks for the great videos!
scotch lock – awesome ๐
Eric have you ever changed an AC condenser on a 2002 GMC Sierra 1500HD did you do a video?
he makes these job so easy, but here in tx you will need a large bank account to get this done
she is a little sweetheart
Chevy truck (my 2003 Silverado 1500) you have to pull the steering wheel. There is a bar on the underside of the dash that runs under the steering column. Pain in butt. I just put an ac evaporator in mine earlier this summer with a friends help.
I have been a Tech for 40 years and retired due to an accident and would Love to say its Guys Like You that are the Best in the Business and cant THANK You Enough for doing your job HONESTLY AND RIGHT the First time and ive mostly been with Ford during my time but you have showed me you can it on most makes and models and Cant THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR YOUR INSPIRATION YOU ARE A GREAT MAN KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK .I DO HOPE ONE DAY YOU CAN MAKE MILLIONS TO PROVIDE FOR THAT AWESOME FAMILY YOU HAVE and i cant even put all the Great WORDS THAT YOU ARE !!!! I DO WISH THERE WERE MORE OF YOU IN THIS FIELD. THE More I watched your videos the more i see what a PASSION YOU have for repairing these Buckets ๐ชฃof Bolts lol . But anyways you are one of the Best AUTO TECHNICIANS I'VE EVER SEEN GOING FROM A TO Z .I Know you have said in previous videos that their are better Techs out there but they don't have the Heart like you do. You are one of the BEST. SO DONT LET NO ONE ELSE TELL YOU DIFFERENT LOL. ONE OF THESE DAYS I'm going to meet you if thats ok with you ??? Its hard enough learning one product like Ford but from A -Z GREAT JOB ERIC
Great job well done thanks a lot a God bless
"Pretty simple job"!!!! HA!!! I'm selling my dodge before I go through all that!
Gees, what a job! I hope you get well paid for it!
Thank you!!!!
Have to do the same thing on my wifes 03 ram 1500.
Fix the doors & I have no idea what else until I get in there.
Absolutely nice to see the dash come out in one piece tho!
This is your future Eric
Buy gold is 2021 now buy gold ๐๐๐๐๐
Mrs "O" is awesome!!! You are a very lucky man. She deserves a BEER ๐บ!!!
Worked in a bodyshop as a combination tech. We used to do a lot of theft recovery and airbag thefts that required dash replacement. I averaged 4 a week, mostly Maximas(Bose sound systems, and airbags) and Lexus. Never had a helper. You bought back memories.
I owned three of them
dodge fuse boxes are famous for burning out from the bottom from corrosion Eric!!!! Just saying!!
In Australia you see flatbed trays or alloy trays with gates on probably more than 50% of utes/pickups, its kind of strange to see checkerplate toolboxes set inside a plastic bed.
I've noticed that almost all pickups in America are plastic trays from the factory, is it not a dealership option to get a proper tray? Is this another ridiculous enviro law? Does this vary state to state?
Plastic beds are fairly inconvenient/impractical if you're actually going to carry tools or heavy/bulky gear. And they usually lack useful tiedown points for lashing.
Hope to see you on Rumble
Brings back memories of me doing a heater core on my 1981 Ford LTD back in the mid 1990's. Lots of work. Dealer had quoted 11 hours I think. It was just think it through, and just do it! That was back in the days before YouTube. Happily a buddy was service advisor at the Ford dealer, he lent me the factory Ford repair manual for a couple days so I could find all the hidden mounting bolts! Took some of the initial stress out of the job.
I'd just tell my insurance company I totaled the vehicle………
glad you're doing that and not me..looks like a nightmare!
Fixen to start that on my 2008 ram. Think I might just take the seats out so I can move around a little easier. Not looking forward to it but got to do it. Summer coming in Texas , black truck equals heat stroke with out AC. Ugh. Wish you would have done the tare down but think I can figure it out watching this video.
Thanks for the info. Not the first time your videos helped me on this truck. Broken exhaust bolts got them out thanks ๐.
Kudos to you for such great audio. I dont know how you do it when most other YT'ers fail at capturing the spoken word. With your positive attitude (and watching videos directly relating to the vehicle work I need to do) I am going to get greasy in the near future. Thank you.
Thanks Man,
Glad ya made the 2 parts.
That Hack ZlP CH0P that ls a HEATER TREATER KlT,
l nearly dld lt
TlLL YA SAVED ME!
THANKS!
I will probably have to do this to my โ04 Ram 1500 one of these days. Mix doors are janky and Iโm pretty sure that the heater core is leaking. Itโll probably be easy though. Right?
You are so lucky to have. Vanessa (Mrs. O) to help. I work for myself in my shop at home and do not have a Mrs O to help! You have taught me a lot about vehicles I did not know! Y?Very smart man Eric! Keep them coming!!
Good job
Yep been there done that in a 94 a 97 and a 99 and a 2000 lol enough's enough I'd thought then came along a D-150 van and its heater issues
After market wire's Cours fires Mr owe
Are the 96 thru 01 ram dashboards the same ? If not do you have a video on them ?
Good job
Hey Wow Iโm just watching your video tutorial on the mode door replacement. You pointed out some good details on installation bolt/screw , wire locations. Iโm going to be doing same on my truck. Iโm going with Blend Door. Excellent video
Did my 94 dodge ram 2500 318 v8 unbolted the dash and raised it up after unbolting opened the case and changed out the heater core the ac was fine worked great put it all together and put in a new blower motor and temp regulator for the fan speed thankfully I didnt need to do the 97 ram just the heat fan speed control and the blower motor got repaired everything else was fine till the dodge garage got hold of it
These two videos are invaluable – I've learned so much from them. You make everything look so easy… and you somehow always seem to have the correct size driver on the hardware.
Love your work, love your style, love the South Main Auto channel. Unbeatable!
That dash looks like a prison with those vents LOLOLOL
Whatโs it cost roughly for a job like that ?
Second time watching 6/25/2020
i have a 2012 ram 1500 was wondering wha type of coolant is used in this motor i have found like 3 different ones but wanted a pros opinion
Great job..
Eric, the fuse pulling tool is right in front of you.
Its a chrysler, nothing works
Hey there mister o love your channel can't get enough of it thank you could do one of these same videos on a 2000 Lincoln Town Car heater core I need to change mine I have it bypass right now but I'm a little scared taking that dash out
