Full Length Video Here: Never Changed Axle Oil! 2005 Silverado 6.0 LQ9 https://youtu.be/77aDGFT51tc

All right! Pop Quiz Thrilled me. This real to me. that can someone please explain to me how is it that we have all these metal chunks and, uh, compressor shavings on this orifice assembly? When down below we have a recently replaced AC compressor unit. We'll have a new unit failing.

Let's see what's on here. Does somebody know how this occurs? We have brand new parts. The system was just rebuilt and there's already metal shavings found in the lines. What do we do? How to get there? Let me know in the comment section down below.

I’ll say cheap parts not original. Most mechanics should know better to flush out the evaporator and lines. Always replace the receiver drier and condenser.

You didn't replace the condenser, evaporator, dryer, etc, or back flush the hoses.

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars The one And only says:

We just had this at my shop today. And we have it often. The only remedy in order to give our warranty. We have to replace everything up to the evap core. Compressor. Condenser. Expansion valve. If expansion valve is a dash pull. Then it must be done. Accumulator/drier. Then we will flush the evap core. And flush the lines. Add a new oring kit. And new valves for the high and low side. And that's the only fix. If a customer can't afford this fix or doesn't want to do this. Then we politely tell them we are not able to help them unfortunately. This is the only way to insure complete success.

  23. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Sentinel says:

Assuming the initial complaint was a blown up compressor and if the system was flushed the rubber in the lines can still have lodged metal bits, best to replace. Assuming the correct refrigerant charge and oil was supplied. And the whole system needs another flush after replacing the line. But you shouldn’t trust random people on the internet

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars David Amason says:

Even flushing the system is not good enoug.. The last compressor must have sent metal debris through the system, that the whole system should have been replaced

  60. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Google User says:

Could have been not flushed very well, or condenser was not replaced and some metal flake worked it way out. You can never fully flush modern condensers. But it could be bad after market or oem compressor.

    They designed it to fail!

  65. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Thomas Halizak says:

You need to talk to the Wizard ! but if I took a guess if you didn't replace all parts of the cooling system, there were metal shavings in the parts of the old system that were not replaced, lodged in them spaces and when you ran it after replacing some of the parts it put the metal shavings you didn't see into the new system destroying it.

    Not made in America.

  67. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars brent mcardle says:

Someone forgot to add the pag oil? That would cause this, as the compressor does not have enough pag oil in it from the factory.

Find a better parts guy I guess 😂

  69. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mud89 says:

Failed to flush, as well as the a/c condenser unit needs to be changed, you will never get all the metal out of it

  70. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Dustin says:

    Ask china

  71. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Nate says:

Lines were not properly flushed after the first compressor failure. And now you are getting debris from that. Which will cause the second compressor to fail too.

No u didn't flush the AC lines after new ac compressor install ur orifice filter caught the shavings floating around in ur ac system so in short the new ac compressor is going to fail soon 😎🖕

Did you flush the system before installing a new one?

  79. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Wesley Echelbarger says:

Just because it's new doesn't mean it works.

  82. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars photondebuger45 says:

You replaced EVERYTHING???? Evaporator too and condenser too?????? Every single line too even hard line? Did you fill it to the proper capacity of oil and distribute it well?

  83. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Matthew Slaughter says:

Either the new pump is failing, or you failed to get all the metal shavings out originally

  84. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars KINGLOWNESS says:

I had the exact same problem happen except it was with a radiator. luckily I caught it before I installed it absolutely chock-full of metal shavings.

No PAG oil added to the NEW compressor if the system was blown out.

  86. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Andrew says:

My guess would be they forgot to replace the orifice assembly

  87. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jimmy Hamm says:

Did you do a total flush of the system after installation?

  88. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Paul Stein says:

Leftover debris. All through the system.

  89. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Rolando Tillit says:

You have metal shavings in the lines and condenser.

  90. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Kodiak says:

Didnt flush after the last compressor blew up

  91. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars DJS says:

If the pump started to come apart you actually need to physically disassemble the entire system and manually flush each component or line section individually. It's a giant pain, but this is what will happen every single time no matter how well you flush if you don't disassemble.

  92. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ti Hi says:

They don't build them like we used to..

  93. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars William Wilson says:

    didn't clean the system

  94. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars rsx123 says:

You cant clean out all the shavings reliably from an AC system. You literally cant the passages are too small.

  95. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Louis Toscano says:

debris. Leftover from no /not good flush. Even if flushed ,new compressor with great pressure compared to old ,plus movement/g-force from driving dislodged debris that flush could not. Chances of 2 grenade compresses low

  96. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars MemphiSS RaineSS says:

    ✔✔✔ EAZY ✔✔✔🤔

They rushed it when they should've flushed it🤷‍♂️

  97. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars VIIJuniorIIV says:

    Didnt suck it down

  98. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Scott Speck says:

I have found on the chevy trucks that metal collects in the condenser for some reason

  99. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars syed ullah says:

Because; when the old compressor failed. They did not perform A/C system Flush.
You will need Automotive grade AC flush Fluid, remove expansion valve and compressor, run the flush thru lines, evacuate all the debris from failed compressor.
Keep in mind if you have a New style cross Flow condenser coil; this can’t be flushed ( you will need to replace the condenser).
This is what we call “Someone just slapping a compressor on a failed unit “.
