Hey bud i have a 2002 escape xlt battery light came on it died so i replaced alternator and had melted wire so i replaced the wire harness also ran fine for an hour then it started again what can i do to fix it

I know this video is old but here's to hope. my 09 Mariner has an issue with the battery light coming on at the moment. I just got my water pump replaced and ignition switch as well if that has anything to do with it. I drive, the battery light goes off but the steering seems off. I come to a stop and it lights. Is this a bad battery? or alternator? Again 2009 Mercury Mariner

Getting slammed with work is a testament to your abilities and fair practice. If you do quality work at a fair price they will beat your doors down to get it. Conversely if you do poor work or rip people off you you sign yourself up for a negative add campaign. I had a really bad experience at Firestone once and I told everyone I knew to stay away. If these people only knew the damage they do to their business when they try to max out the charges with bogus repairs.

should you of ran the evap test with the verus? i seen it had an option. no doubt that code is fixed because your a good technician!
I must be missing something, I don't see any advantage to the " smart charging system " maybe a small gain in battery longevity, only to be off set in diagnostic and labor charges, I a firm believer " just because you can doesn't mean you should " school of thought
