reminds me of taking clutch plate off my daughters civic lucky it can be reached through wheel well and just had to take out a shim and clean up plate on wire wheel and it has worked for few years now
2.1lbs refrigerant.
Sometimes the gap is uneven or at the wide end of the spec. If the customer has an issue during warranty, he can get it shimmed or replaced. If the spring plate gets uneven how the surfaces meet it definitely gets a new part(s).
Looked like Eric did a very correct and thorough job.
And the puppy had not lost his way.
Mrs O. Was giving him just a little teeny bit of flak. All in a days work.
He could ebay the tool kit if he doesn't still use part of it. But she would have to talk him out of it somehow.
Good luck with that Mrs O.
His videos are nicer to watch knowing you care and let him have what he may need to get the job done.
I think tour show is great, i have a fyi ,after going through apex tech in NYC for 12 months and knowing that any foreign material in ac system can cause a failure in orifice tube or expansion valve. Take this with a grain of salt. before installing any o rings on ac system soak Orings in pag oil to eliminate system contamination, this is because any other grease or lubricant may not mix well with R 134a and lead to a sludge situation or clot in orifice valve. Seems like overkill but a step to avoid a problem. this school was no joke covering commercial and domestic refrigeration and ac systems .and systems in cars today are really refrigeration systems with evaporator temps just above 35f. with ac systems in your home about 55 deg discharge temp and in cars discharge temps at the dash closer to 40 deg f. closer to refrigerators in your home. the principal at apex would flip out at the use of uv dyes because it is foreign to the system and displaces refrigeration charge.I hope you don't take this as a criticism it's not, because I just purchased a sma sweatshirt and I fully support your channel. keep on trucking
Don't use metrics when in USA
I bet that mac break set wasnt cheap..better off buying it on Amazon
Y'all are a great comedic team..make me laugh..lol
Dont ya just love working on Ford's..NOT..
Little 06 Taurus – A day at Doctor O's Open wide little guy we have some clips and bolts to extract – cause Granny needs her Cool – Great video Eric
Mrs. O and her radiant smile is always a nice relief from your mug ha ha. You two seem to work together marvelously. Keep up the good work.
Lmfao Eric O first thing get on some gloves nobody wants Car coodies ๐คฃ๐คฃ @SouthMainAutoRepairLLC
Bad compressor can cause a P0511 or P1633 code and run rough, cause a rpm drop to 500 rpm and blow the 10 amp fuse in that fuse box bcuz it also controls the idle air control – pink wire with grey tracer.
need to see the pooch more.
I remember when corvettes came with that screw in piston and said geezzz will I ever have enough tools.

really enjoyed this video, all of it!
Most garages would just swap out the compressor at the customers expense. Great to see you doing what is actually best for the customer ๐
This guy is TRIPPING! Learn how to use a feeler guage! Learn your units of measurements!
I was waiting for the Clutch to ping across and whack the 4×4 when the Air Hammer came out …
Too much work fora cluch
"Toruble"???????
FYI those void warranty stickers are BS. There is literally a law staying they are complete BS and companies still have to accept warranty claims.
Enjoyed the video. I've learned over the years if I go through all that trouble to take the compressor off a Taurus or a sable for a clutch…..
I'm replacing the entire assembly.
If had all those big fancy tool box . Could I be mechine like you?
Driving me crazy watching you hold that up with you hands when it's unnecessary lol
Use a small bungy cord to hold the fuse box out of the way
I think I remember doing one of these where I pulled the compressor off from underneath. Remember it being a lot easier. Could be a different year I'm thinking of, though. I do remember having to leave a couple bolts in when I pulled it and reinstalled due to clearance issues. And forgetting to put them back in before I reinstalled it in the car. Yes, there was much profanity.
Yea. Ford built the "Tear Arse" just to Tear Techs a New One.
I like to be distracted for 8 hours plus 1 hour overtime ๐๐๐ no lunch either
love your videos!!!
Re shim the compressor clutch
29 "Freedom" ounces = .82 kilograms.
What is the puppy's name
The three most important things to remember when using the air hammer or the press are: 1) Safety glasses 2) Safety glasses 3) Safety glasses.
Thanks for hanging out with us mrs O.
All your questions help me practice my with my patients .
Hey Eric, eat your heart out …. I just had a neighbor give me a brand new, in the box, Japanese Rodak 3/8" butterfly gun that has never been touched by human hands since it left the factory!
A REAL Japanese version before the Chinese took over and destroyed the original company. My lord … it is sweet!
My old one from some time around 1977 or so, finally needed parts … but they aren't available.
I figger the 1st one lasted for almost 45 years of constant commercial use-abuse, so my being retired, this one will outlast me!
I'm pretty sure that's the last time those new snapring pliers ever see a wiping rag!
You said: but the people will go crazy…what makes you think we aren't crazy already…after all, we are watching your channel.
Did that water pump pulley look a little wobbly?
Can you imagine if Eric had a parrot in the shop??? ๐
Squaaaak Crusty Crusty, Squaaaak Mother!!!! Squaaaak……
I know this is an old AF video, but was laughing when discussing the brake tools. Did brakes 2 years on my 2013 Focus ST and NO ONE had a caliper tool that fit Fords. Wish I would have known a $10 kit from Amazon (just like the new one you have) would work just fine. What a headache for a first real brake job (replacing a caliper/rotor).
Wifeโs 2:4L Saturn Veu radiator fan not running until I turn on ac then only slow motion what can I do to repair ?
.96 kilos is 2.1 pounds.
I was in the same predicament with the calipers before and I literally used a pair of snap ring pliers as well, that's insane! lol
The wife shows up to "supervise"… LOL… a healthy marriage :^)
"Stop when you hear the crunching"…. LOL… such pearls of wisdom!
I see Mrs.O is impressed with your tool.
From this I learned: 1) Is that thing called a Fan Clutch moving at all, and when? 2) Thats why a new compressor install cost $1,200 and must be done correctly. 3) Check all the electrical first. But, from another video I learned 4) when my fan clutch cycled 'on' and freon was too low, then cycled 'off' and was too high, I actually needed to add freon until it came into the "good" zone, and the fan clutch stayed on. Plus, from this video I sprayed my fan clutch with much PB Blaster to free any frozen components. AC works great now.
