In a previous video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uu-L2PKr9LM&t I had a look at a GMC Yukon that would not crank over. I made the call on replacing the engine computer. Now it is time to see if it is fixed. -Enjoy!

Awesome diagnosis
Not that surprising that you're not a car guy. Neither am I. What I am interested in is being as self sufficient as possible. Thank you for helping me become a little more so in this area. as always, thanks for sharing 😊
This saved me I tried everything and just thought the ecu was good because it communicated I tried replacing it and it fired right up exact same problem except on a cobalt
Hard to find any recent videos from SMA.
My car is at 206,000 miles Accord v6 2007. Parts could fail any minute. I just like preparing for the WAR to come. lol Not sure if I like cars eithet Eric. lol
Was the non starting issue a programming one?
"Denial". I think you said it that way on purpose!
What do you use to program?
Too bad I can't get my 05 Jeep TJ down to your Shop for you to check my engine. With every code I get clear another shows up.
Keep up the great work love the video's.
Where has that middle finger been?
Mrs O got a GSD, love her even more.😁
Another pile of rust that should be scrapped
What kind of computer scanner were you using?
Do you rather use GM MDI other than Aultel Ultra j tool
Hey, I didn't know about that Google Timer thingy… Thx..
There is no one in KY half as close to diagnosis awesomeness as what I see in these videos. My wife is broke down 45 minutes away from me where I work in our 04 Yukon. Starter will not activate. I have the fun job of troubleshooting tomorrow morning when I get off work. YAY…….
Big league chew? didn't know you used Wormdirt, nasty habit….lol
Recently found your channel….well done….very well done. I thought that the first one I watched was too long but when I had finished it….I understood why…..excellent job
Sometimes I wish I wasn't so in love with the vehicles I think you make a better mechanic When your not Emotionally attached lol Just get the job done move on to the next one
I think that was really odd that it wouldn't start after the security light was off Have used that same method to remove the vats from The PCM After you get the security light out usually you can start it At least in the bourbons Maybe has to do with the Drive by wire If you get the security light out and start the car you can pull the body control module And as long is it doesn't die And you have the body control module unplug When you turn it off You can pull the computer And not have to go through that Key Re learn When you do the ls swap Into another car
The Brady Bunch or the South Main Bunch? They got heads on 'em like mice.
That sure is a good looking instrument cluster setup.
Love the channel Eric 😀
Good job
Very interesting process of elimination 👍👍
My dad wasn't a car guy either he just fixed them for a living that's all he didn't have a built jog rod in the driveway in the 80s he actually drove a delta 88 olds diesel with the 2 batteries under the hood lol
The hell with it if its inspected and runs ok if I was this guy I'd just drive it from the looks of this thing it don't have much more time on the road
The airbag fault was caused by the sledge hammer blow from the previous mechanic when he failed to fix it. 😊
great job you did i just had my yukon xl 2003 done ac did not work or give heat the dealer fix it great job.. stay safe
goood ol GMCS
Question what kind of scanner is that I like it 👌
I enjoy your videos. What's your scan tool. I'm wanted to get one but I'm at a lost to pick one.
bang on through there and away we go
Awesome work!
To the uninitiated the first suspect is always “the computer” (ECU/ECM/PCM…). With some experience it becomes the last suspect. I’ve still never come across a bad one.
After helping a friend with a turbo conversion (engine swap) in his Audi, we accidentally ran full cranking current through the ECU. Probably around 100 Amps. We had failed to install the engine-to-chassis ground strap. The insulation on the ECU’s ground wire melted off completely when we cranked the engine as all the starter current was carried through it. We realized our error, installed the ground strap and started the engine. The ECU ran the car perfectly. That was in 2008. The ECU still works perfectly.
One of the best mechanics I've ever seen!
Classic Eric O
Bad tps bad relays
Bad fuses
I have a 2003 GMC Yukon Denali with 130000 miles the service stability message appears on the dash it seems like the brakes lock up or it activates them and I’m not able to move anywhere it doesn’t have any codes I checked the speed sensors and they all seem to be working any help? took it to get it checked out to a shop and their recommendation was to redo the whole front end suspension they wanted 4K and they didn’t know if it was gonna fix the problem it only has done this twice in the past 6 months please help
Most awesomest video ever bruh! Great diagnosis.
Kind of ironic a guy with huge bow ties on his shop overhead doors to always be ripping on Chevy's. lol
Is that a dip in
GM ought to be ashamed of themselves with all the security crap.
Little did he know " The pulse " actually is a videogame's radio station😅
"I have other hobbies that have nothing to do with cars". Smart man!
That leads to burn out.
Eric, do you toss in a to-do list with the receipt? Might bring in some more business.
Especially the traction control (wheel sensor) problem in Winter conditions!
Mr.O don't cut your self short your the best mechanic i know besides my own brother, not to mention honest thats rare
.
You were working on a kis randa. Have a question i have 13 forta and when i cut ac on and my high speed fan wood not cut on relay is good ran a jumperwire and works put a 10 amp fuse on wire have you seen many problems with the out side fusebox?
Thanks for all the videos love paul
