In this video I bring you along the process of replacing the upper control arms and outer tie rod ends with the brand "kryptonite" ( #notasponsor) on a 2014 GMC Sierra 1500. The customer supplied the parts and I just bolted them on so don't ask me what I think of them or how I feel about them or anything about Kryptonite parts in general cuz I don't know.... -Enjoy!

The back shocks where up side down I had mine that way everyone said to flip them lol nice video
Use new hardware
2500 miles is lawyer speak for if it break ain’t our fault.
wish I could take my truck to you..
FYI if the strut is in the way, you can compress the suspension from below with a jack and it will compress the spring and move it out of the way.
very cool
I've been watching your videos and I like
The way you describe the repairs.
Those "upper A's" look like a quality product
how much $ for the Krypto kit??
When removing the axle bearing without a remover, I partially remove the three bolts and hit each bolt with an air hammer and the bearing assembly comes right out, even on vehicles with over 300,000 miles of Michigan rust. Just a tip!
I had to drill mine out alittle.
I like when you work on the Chevrolet trucks.
When did you get the Alignment system installed at your shop?
Great video mang
Kyptonite are by far the best control arms and ball joints you can buy.
That is SUPER MANLY – handling the phone with grease covering your plastic gloves, holding the phone to your face.
You wouldn't dare do that if your country's healthcare system was public only, with waiting lists.
Kneeling on concrete is bad for your knees. You won't know the damage caused until it's too late.
A 7 year old truck needing suspension. What a bunch of trash
Love the unimpressed sarcasm with the fox shocks and kryptonite stuff lol. I'm sure he's seen it all with these "beefy" components that are nothing more than paint and marketing
after that they should be a sponsor come on kryptonite 🙂
Had a local shop install new control arms and align. They did not tighten the upper arms properly and I almost got in a crash when they shifted at 60 mph.
Great job as usual!
Nice shoutout to Scotty K.
Hello I am a fan and I was wondering if you have a video on how to replace a blend door on a 99 Ford windstar I would really appreciate it thnk you Ram.
Do you need a bigger diameter air hose when using Thor?
First year at the dealership had to install camber and caster adjusting stuff. (Came without)….paid 3 hrs and glad I could do them in 2. Dealership pulled their sponsorship of my late model….same day loaded tools on my rollback it was hard working for coke heads and liars
I have a lift kit and that's the same thing I want to do is put the upper control arms and stuff on my truck but I just do not like worker on My own stuff other people stuff OK but then I looked up your address I'm in New York you're in New York but you're over 4 hours away lol
Yeah damn that guy must be bugged watching this video seeing you got the grease and dirt all over his nice New struts
I have a clunk, let me shoot the parts cannon at it for awhile.
I like the way you think. I live up in the great white north in Canada on the Alberta – Saskatchewan border. I do not have the rust you have to deal with. I always lube all the treaded components when ever they are apart. I am a self employed heavy duty tech, I repair and rebuild a lot of cars and trucks on the side. Like to watch what is coming into your shop.
Hahahaha @ the murders in the background
To clear the old compensation data, is disconnection the battery good enough? Had a shimmy that went away after a tire rotation.
Full-time wrench-breaker here and spent 13 years in the Army before that doing (mostly) the same. Have never like coffee. If I do drink it, it winds up with so much sugar and creamer in it that it's coffee-flavored sugar lol. I LOVE the smell of it though. Someone needs to make a candle that smells like coffee, bacon and gunpowder.
Outstanding, again!
Boaff does nuts lol
Is Kryptonite a sponsor? I'm not sure if I heard correctly. LOL.
"just like an epsiode of horsepower tv" hahhahaha that just took me back to highschool
Replaced a steering rack for a friend told him to take it for a alignment he didn’t was moaning when it shredded his tyres bearing in mind I didn’t stand a chance of getting it lined up anyway near as the rack was so shot it rattled when I shock it
ooo shit hes got green on the screen??? careful guys!
lmfao!!!!! that ballet scene in the beginning looked straight outta bobs burgers!!! :p
i loved hearin life in the background personally.. its too quiet around here most the time i do Not like it
These guys are a joke. Good to know thank you
Are these arms longer or shorter than stock?
Great, as usual.
Zip ties 🤦♂️ those things dry rot you would think for that much money they would make them with the proper holes
What brand is that ibeam looking wrench you used to take the first bolt off in the video? Those look pretty sweet. For some reason I can’t stop watching these videos. I doubt I’ll even even own a 1/2 ton Chevy
I did this on my 2014 Silverado 1500 Z71. Two things I noticed. (Yes, I took it to get aligned).
1. The wheels rub at full lock. So much so that they scrape off part of the aluminum wheel on the back side. I have no idea why they couldn't have made these not to rub. I read that someone used a 1/4" spacer to alleviate that issue. I don't really want to do that, as nobody makes hub-centric 1/4" spacers.
2. My truck now creaks embarrassingly over speed bumps. I maintain the UCA's per the manufacturer's specifications, but it's bad. Now, I know this could be a number of things, but it didn't start until after the UCA change. They had to squeeze the channel more on these because the bushings area is shorter than the stock UCA's. So I chalk this up to poorer engineering than I would expect out of this kind of product.
At least I can replace the ball joints easier when they go out again after my 3rd set of UCA's on this truck.
I ate the donuts….but never really drank coffee.
Factory struts you have to remove to do the upper control arms.
