Nothing fails like Chrysler.
The dye "fluoresces" under the black light.
Ray any chance of telling us Aussies in celcius
"Fumbling through…"
Those words got me some hate. I reminded him that everything is a learning experience.
Lucky you used the florescent dye a messy job but got there in the end well done ray
2 7/8 😂 weired
Luminescence….
Did you put back the lock pins on the trans coolant line?
I swear every Summit is missing the radar bezel lol
Channel locks on hose clamps all day
Bit harder than the Camry
Ugh, the clips didn't go back on the transmission lines? Reeeee…
Florence, just like florescent lighting! It's the same exact phenomenon.
Could faintly hear what sounded like sirens for a while just past the middle of the video. Cannot confirm nor deny, but regardless, I am praying that you, your family, and your community remain safe during the awful weather 🙏 💙
Ray, I wish YouTube had a way for you to block these troll imitators that want us to reply to them at another platform and they say, " I have something for you."
I don't get it Ray…..In the past you've shown us that the machine forces you to do a vacuum test BEFORE it allows a recharge. If the damage was hidden there before it came in to the shop, wouldn't that have alerted it that the system wasn't holding its charge? If so….why/ or even HOW did the machine allow you to charge it and let it out of the shop as is? Perhaps there's a way to defeat its process and charge it by bypassing the vacuum test? 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
When did Joe dirt start at your shop?
It is "Glowing"? You do great service and I like the videos but, do the videos ever get you disciplined at work? Seems like it would be shunned upon as causing some down time in work production. You know how corporate garbage likes to react to this sort of thing. Just sayin
Great video, i enjoyed that extras that you left in without editing this time. It's good to see some of the mundane stuff once an a while. Curious what the other guys in the shop think about your channel/recording? Any of them YouTubers as well? All the best from a fan in KC.
It makes no sense that they don't put dye in all refrigerant, so the leaks can be seen without having to go through all of the rigmarole of purging what's left and injecting dye with fresh refrigerant.
How much did book pay and how long was your way
Oh man water in the intake filter
who ever invented the hose claps are brain dead.
Id be happy paying for shop supplies for fluid top offs if it meant saving time on the labor.
Because something tells me the shortcut here saved some labor time amd fluids are cheaper than what labor hours tend to run.
Should be fun doing that job in 10 years after all those clips rust…….
I dont know how in the fk you can do this stuff and not be yelling curse words all the time.
I've had to do the same job on one of these (a newer one, a 2016) and what I did to make it easier is I took off the bumper crash bar and the hood latch. That made it way easier because there was almost nothing in the way. The only thing that was in the way was the intake and the fan.
That top radiator hose clip is just stupid. I bet some Jeep engineer got his Certificate on that one. Mind you, so many fittings and clips on vehicles today, are in the stupid class.
You must have no skin left on your knuckles working in such tight spaces. Great video.
suction hose is just like the dentist!!
Ray, you didn't put the clips for the trans cooler lines back. You missed out on the extra fun part! Hope you all stay safe down there. Storm will be passing thru here too.
Ray hunker down be safe prayers your way keep an eye on the storm
You made me buy that clamp hose remover and you keep using nothing but pliers!
Nice, a hot air intake tube! 😜💩🤡
You said you were putting the new condenser *back in*, when of course you were putting it in for the first time. That's my nights sleep ruined.
Great mechanic job 😂
Had the check valve go bad on a Honda once and it blew up right in my face. Had to go the hospital after basically inhaling mustard gas not fun.
He said let’s take a leak.ha haha
I've been burned by shortcuts too but luckily you don't have someone chewing you out for taking an extra 30 min.
uv fluorescent dye
Ray you don't like removing body parts that's why you do it your way I myself do things my way
maybe removing the front bumper cover may have made it easier to access the ac condenser just a thought
Hey Ray! Hope you and your family stay safe.
Photo reactive
I had a 2016 Grand Cherokee with v6 EcoDiesel. Mistake. Bad engine
What an engineering hay day on that one.
Buy GM and Ford. Support American workers. Parts a service keeps people employed. Don’t buy a Japanese car that doesn’t break frequently, nobody can make any money on that.
photochemical reactions
The transcooler on my '98 Neon were in the bottom head of the radiator.
Now I KNOW you have hose clamp tool… you are killin me with needle nose, Smalls!
I got so MAD at that upper hose clap. Dumb design. Few days later bracket came unclamped hose slid back burned hole in from pulley. That’s why I had to buy a new upper hose from Dodge dealer. Came complete with new bracket and unique zip tie
I love those COLD AIR intakes that pull in hot underhood air through a big metal heat sink metal tube.
killing me, i cant watch no mo…
This video brought to you by a $70,000+ Fiat product.
Looks like Jeep bottomed out hard bent condenser coil
I'm so glad I'm not a mechanic.
Vehicle is way past its use by. It should be scrapped. Though being a Jeep it was scrap when new!!
we are sad .. ther was no brake cleaner sound effect
LoL, hose down the air filter.
For me it was easier to drop coolant fan out the bottom
Now you are feeling my pain replacing cooling fan
So it was a silent but clicky?
I am an Avid Jeep Owner. Have had Wranglers and CJs for years. My wife refers to anything that is not a CJ or Wrangler a Jeep Car.
I had to buy a Mopar upper hose once you break that special zip tie. Upper hose will slip back rub on alternator pulley. Very strange design on 2014-2018 grand Cherokee with 5.7
wait I didnt see you put he trans lines clips back but i love watching your show and be safe in this weather
Marked difference from a certain Toyota. That one SWAM!
That is a non stock intake. Factory air box looks nothing like that
Jeep Fiat same thing LOL
Fluorescence is the right term. UV excites the dye which then converts the invisible UV light into visible light.
I love these videos. I’m an industrial heavy equipment tech. I know a lot about different mfgs but sometimes I’m like I’m going in blind 😊
Great job! You have more patience than a mother of triplets.
Nice to know you have some of the most informative followers. Cudos to you cause if you weren't extremely good at your craft we wouldn't follow you.😎😎😎
That Jeep same as mine expect black pearl. Paint Hope you and family are safe from hurricane Ian. Saw video of traffic gridlock trying to leave Tampa
Stay safe ray. I could not link to newest video. But felt the need to add my wishes.
i think the word you might be looking for is "flouresence"
a substance that glows a visible light only when put under UV light is said to be flourescent.
Could they have the volume any higher on the teenage radio???
Did you putt he Jesus clips back on trans. cooler lines?
Stay safe Ray. Hurricane Ian should be making land fall some time in the middle of the night. I imagine you might have some kind of aftermath video of the area around your shop.
The technical term is the "Ron Jeremy effect", ropey trajectories are exposed under a black light, you are welcome.
Ray – you and yours be safe thid week. BTW it's called florescence. 🙂
you worry a bout us seeing we can see whats going on so quit with the us seeing and do the job
It looks like there was a bolt missing on the ps line? Nvm lol
Should of just removed the front bumper 😊
Fluorescence. Well done as always!
Chemiluminescence, if it's a man-made chemical such as this dye.
Photon reactive micro particles is not as simple as saying photo luminescent.
Stick with what you know. People get it.
Should have just pulled the front bumper off
Firstly, stay safe. Second, I re-watched it 3 times to figure out that bracket you condemned at the end. I think it was there to block the belt. I still remember 70's cars, that had room for a picnic under the hood. My first cars was a Datsun B210. I lawn tractor with a body. zero effort on all parts. Buddy of mine had a gen 1 civic. Easy-peasy to work on.
Fluorescence
It's the die in the oil its supposed to be made like the liquid in glow sticks
Anybody who buys a newer jeep is stupid as hell they are junk
Is Peter still around?
i would have puled the front off
UV fluorescent dye.
An assortment of bungee cords would aid in holding lines and hoses out of the way.
