This is very important info for those of us with Honda J-series engines. Im aching to buy 6 new fuel injectors. But from honda (for all 6) its 408$. 68$ each one. But on Rockauto, the "Standard Motor" injectors are 47$. Ive had good experience with Standard motor. But delicious OEM is of course the way to go. But ehhhh its so expensive. lol
What was the resistance on the OEM new injector? The fault was 4.1 what about the new one ?
This by far my favorite Auto Channel in YT. Thanks for all the videos.
I'm considering changing my injectors. I have random misfires on all cylinders.. what's your scan tool?
I just realized he called Honda "Han-doo" lol 😆😂👍👍👍
Eric, does the 2016 Honda Pilot have the CVT Transmission, and if so, are they fairly long-lasting ? your videos are always informative & enjoyable to watch …
what apps is that you used to check the engine?
All hell broke out- Not because of that……😂😂😂
Nice follow up. You must be very organized to work and run a business along with producing some most excellent videos. Wonder if the pcm couldn't handle the extra draw from that injector and the others suffered.
That's a cool light that you hang across the hood.
Eric tell more about your multimeter looks new what brand why u get a new
One

Great job. Great advice on following the plan. Stop apologizing. Clone yourself and distribute throughout the hinterlands, so that cars everywhere can be fixed without the noise of the parts cannons firing.
How did that one bad injector cause misfires in the other cylinders?
Is it a Pontiac Solstice back there? Hope next video will include that!
What scan tool were you using in this video?
Hey o there is not a tech, mechanic,or engineer that didn't make a mistake but your videos make good breakfast to enjoy thanks
Nice job I could hear the difference now after the repair it's way smoother.
Great follow up buddy!!
I have a 2005 Honda pilot with 203,000 on it I notice it's starting to have a rough idle at cold start up what could that be
Is it plugs or coils that is the main cause of misfires?
Loved the update thanks
Honestly We gave up on Napa and the others years ago. We had so much if this type of stuff that we threw in the towel. We just don’t have the time to deal with AM shanagins. Either way glad you got er done!
Missed ya n=my man. Nice o see you working on cars. Even though we know your busier than a hornets nest. Taking time to teach us what you know……awsome
I need a pico scope and the kit where is the best place to buy for a beginner pico
DEATH DARKNESS ….LOL ………..
Good news: I found a good mechanic. Bad news: He's 2,700 miles away.
Chill bro.. You have earned some slack from us.
The napa part is meant for a different engine code of honda 3.5s.
I've had that issue with multiple parts for honda and mitsu engines from napa. Their parts ID system is garbage.
Eric. you are very simply, the best mechanic on the YT " not a sponsor"!! Thanks and all the best..
No worries Eric O. your audience can overlook this minor infraction…this time. Just kidding, we like seeing you solve customer problems and getting the job done right the first time. GOD bless!
Nice job thanks for the video
still a good video
eric your the man
Good video Eric O
Great repair
Sometimes you can't trust after market stuff!! LOL
MUST AGREE WITH EVERYONE ELSE! You have NOTHING to apologise for…..you have a business to run and a family to provide for …."taking care of us" should be the last thing on your mind…… have a great day and go get some ice cream w the wife and kids!!!!!
Eric O one quick question. If you used the scanner to shutoff the number 1 injector would you have seen the same results as unplugging it or do you need the connector disconnected? A real pain getting to 3.5 injectors on the Hondo as you know. Thanks, Eric 👍👍👍
I missed out on what happened to the air compressor that use to kick in on all your videos ?? Get rid of the leak, or moved it outside ?? Nice video, thanks for the views.
You do an exceptional job by following your instincts. Following your gut may have cost an hour this time but has saved many hours on other jobs. It's a game of odds. You have one of the best guts out there, keep following it.
As a case study, it would have been interesting to try to explain the weird misfire patterns.
Thanks again for taking the time to produce these videos, it's greatly appreciated by many.
111000 just break-in in baby
Ice cream, you scream for ice cream, since you did a good job, it is time for ice cream!
what is with people and skulls………..Unless your going into battle with the 3rd SS Panzer division and your ready to die……….leave them alone.
**SYMPTOM EXPLANATION**
Assuming the ECU fires the injectors through a NPN or N channel MOSFET (the injectors have constant +12v and the ECU grounds the injector to fire it.) What you may have had was something called ground bounce. When there's a massive inrush of current into a relatively small ground supply, what can happen is it will raise the voltage level of the ground. This will negatively affect all other injectors, assuming they're using the same ground source as the defective injector. Hope this makes sense.
Eric, Do you have the video on how to replaced the injector for this Honda?
That poor starter sounds like a buddy of mine who has asthma!
Thank you sir for the great content, watching from North Carolina. I'm a police officer but enjoy fixing cars on my days off and your content has helped me in locating and diagnosing some issues. Keep up the great work sir.
110K on the clock – – just broken in! These Hondoos will run forever with a little care.
