As I continue on with the 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee installing the IRO Lift kit it comes time to bite the bullet and chop off the front lower control arm mounts. I also mount up the new tires and have to clearance the front bumper a tad...for now... -Enjoy!

I have a 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.7 and check the gas cap came up should I buy a new cap ? And another thing what can cause my car to eat up so much gas? I'm putting $35 every 3 days I would really appreciate your feed back.
It sure is looking good but now you need a Flow Master or another brand exhaust and make a little racket.
It is my understanding that you can replace the washer bottle with an earlier Grand Cherokee bottle for any clearance issues.
I started on my IRO 4" Rock Link on a 2000 WJ two days ago. I really appreciate the videos that you are doing and like your idea on the cutting of the lower control arm mount at the body. I am going with braided brake lines from IRO. They probably had not started manufacturing them for the WJs when you did this. I am doing mine in my driveway but so far on the rear A-arm and control arms it hasn't been bad. I have saved several of your videos and as I move to that section I watch the video first. Thank you for posting them!!

Check with the power block sema 2016,17 they have a outfit that has the cutting guides to manufacture your own bumpers via the cnc index for a plasma cutter if you know some one who has one it has potential for making bumpers on the cheap I wish I could find the link I think it was for 4×4 with Scot and jessy
Yeah you'll want her dialed in and soon be careful getting to your brothers shopp new ride height can be a bit squirrely being in tried and un tested especially with the front end

Now get some good metal fender flares and cut the originals off and add some after market bumpers for added clearance for the tires. Plus a set of electric locking diffs work really good. I’ve got all that and more on my 88 Cherokee. I don’t have the V-8 but I do have a stroked 4.0 that I built. Ya it looks good. Yep, wench, bumpers and fender flares.
till ya get the new bumper, the small plastic coffee cans can make pretty good fog light protection at the rear of lite
I know you have been cutting with a wheel for years. Call it bad luck or whatever. You want to wear full goggles when doing that. Ask me how I know, but I had safety glasses like you, plus my regular glasses behind them. Lo and behold, I got a shard into my right eye that put me into the Veterans hospital AE for a doc to use a needle to pluck it out. Just a tip so you don't end up like my dumb a&*!

A lot of the fellas just hammer over the spot weld tabs, welding the spaces mostly closed will help regain strength and make it look cleaner and get them out of the way. Just make sure there is some opening remaining for drainage. You'll want to reinstall those transfer case spacers and maybe add some washers, a drop is required over 4 inches.

I can't help but to wonder if you're planning on changing the diff gear ratio, or if you're just going to wait until you blow out your diff carrier bearings and THEN change them….?

Other than some rear driveline vibration that you had to deal with later – how does this long arm feel overall regarding solidness of the wheels when going over bumps, railroad tracks, potholes, etc.?
The ears looked great. Little primer & paint by the time the Jeep is down and your looking down it's going to look factory.
When you lift your WJ over 2-3in, you need to install a new double-double cardan driveshaft, as the factory repezza shaft cannot handle the angles and causes vibrations
There's a lot of people who install an XJ jeep's washer tank in the engine bay. I actually installed a universal tank in my tire spare spot, and put my spare on the roof.

Hi Eric, I have and did the change over lift springs and all that to a 98 ZJ with the 5.9. Don't put a slip yoke kit on that transfer case get a 242 and then slip yoke that.
Buy some Stainless brained brake lines for a 6'5 inch lift.
Looks really good. Now you'll have to add, Eric the custom body guy, lol. I'm thinking of stopping by your brother's shop because I'm having problems with the outside of my rear tires wearing. I had the alignment done at one shop but I don't know, a second opinion would be good to get. Thanks for sharing.

The maiden voyage is all a good test on how well the dash went back in after replacing the evap core. As a former Chrysler A/C tech I've done my share of them. Around 2 a week or more.
