It s show Mustang, it’s a loved Mustang, it’s a seldom driven Mustang, it’s a never been wet Mustang, it’s the owner’s reason to get up! And Ray once again shows similar passion levels as to mechanical care and feeding of this owner’s treasured and loved Mustang. Exhaust geometry is a visualization as well as knowledge of how the pipes are installed and how and what to adjust. A total pleasure to watch. Thanks Ray!!!
Dual exhaust outlets on a 4-cylinder provide no extra benefit other than styling. A single 2.5" or 3" Borla exhaust with a high-flow cat will do the job just as well and more cost-effectively.
if it was a custom exhaust setup, why wasn't it adjusted by the person who installed it in the first place? Customer should have said something prior to leaving their shop at least…
I loved my Mustang (2013 Shelby) My wife made me park it after I took her to Calgary and raced an Audi R 10 and hit almost 200 miles an hour. Beat him thoroughly.🤣🤣 great car in a straight line. Still couldn’t turn.
Rainman’s vids are amongst the handful that I thumbs up before viewing, here in London!
My problem is that I only got his material appear in my home page a few weeks ago, obviously because of the amount of automotive themes I follow. BTW, I recommend Harry’s Garage and Iain Tyrell!
On the the plus side, that means that I have gazillions of Rainman to catch up with now I’m subscribed but that pesky YouTube keeps throwing random Rainman vids in to mess up my time lines!
Sorry, got to go, it’s been a slow night on TV so just paused JFK on Prime (thought I’d see if it still held water since I saw it when it was released) in order to switch to YT on the telly to pick up on the Mustang exhaust episode from my iPad from where I was watching!
aside from a top notch video again, as always, is anyone noticing that absolutely SMASHED grand prix on the hoist? must have hit a divider or another vehicle
It’s a mustang nothing on a Ford is perfectly aligned nor any vehicle that’s come off an assembly line if you want perfect lines you gotta build it by hand
wait… couldn't you "lift" the left side by taking it down and prying on the hanger the opposite way that you did on the right side hanger? (Not complaining but asking out of interest)
Also…. what happened to you reminding us to remind you to remind us to have a good day. You need a re-edit, I demand you add that closing to this video…. REEEEEEEEEEEEEEE (LOL 🤣)
As for how the driver side was hanging a little bit different than the passenger side. Couldn't you have just bent the hanger a tad bit in the down position to tighten the gap? Basically the opposite what you did on the passenger side.
Worked a exhaust shop the best way to make a customer happy is bring them out and ask them while doing it also those hanger you can use a torch. Heat them up and bend them on the car
I learned when dealing with stainless exhausts is to wipe fingerprints off before running the car as they will burn onto the exhaust. Wearing gloves like you should be fine.
no honk when backing out.
Well, whaddaya know, I got an English grammar lesson while watching a YouTube video … NICE, perfessah! (Boston accent)
why didn't they take it back to the place who did in the first place? They screwed it up to begin with.

One on the left sucks. Loose. Sticks out and is lower. Knock all the pipes in.
Not too good
With a new exhaust he should be told that he needs to recheck the clamps or it will just move on him again later.

Man, that money he spent on the exhaust and paying you to tinker with it, could of upgraded to a GT
Impressive work Ray. I think you like such challenges.
I see rims in that mustangs future.
YOU MUST BE EXHAUSTED AFTER THAT IT DOES LOOK MUCHER BETTER
Cool video I'm trying to catch up on all your previous video
Now you get thumbs up! Love the new intro man!
Not too shabby Raindude.
I see I am not the only one to use a jack handle to bend things and they make great breaker bar extension’s
"good enough for this neighborhood momma"…Steve Lav. Thanks Ray!

At least it was a new system and not rusty! Nothing better than getting a piece of rust in your eye when working on old systems!
You could’ve done a better job than that but I realize one you things half assed
I was gonna get a borla system for my truck and it is over 1200.00 so needless to say I’m not
Do you get actual time on a job like this since there's probably no FR?

A Borla exhaust that doesn't fit perfect? Who would have thought. On my 4rth Gen Camaro actually had to add a pie-cut. Nice muffler though.
2017, uh? Looks like a brand-new vehicle from underneath–no road grime. Interior and paint also look showroom new. Nice.

How long does anyone think he messed with it before going to a mechanic?
bend the hanger bracket

The right side was bent in the final curve before the muffler. Borla designs their stuff yso you have to buy their hanger kits
The other tech said slap it,who cares😜
Beautiful Pony Exhaust sounds perfect
Billy Boat exhaust is the way to go. It is a work of art.

Hey Pete this guy is great isn’t he 💪🏻

How do you install a new exhaust but then pay for someone to adjust it for you?

Cwazie, the shop that installed it should have had the tips lined up.
The undercarriage is spotless like a new car.
Wow. So the customer did this all on his driveway laying on his back? That’s tough
Love the colour matching overspray under the car. 😋👍
No muffler putty ? I would have thought that it would have been the standard to stop any possible leaks.
Put a coat hanger on it. We always did
