In this video I have a quick look at a Lincoln town car that customer states the gas door will not open. Well, he's right, but what the heck are we fixing a wire near the radiator for then!? -Enjoy!

Ur the best Mrs o Eric's ok as well lol love the channel
You're a smart dude, Eric O. I've learned a lot just watching your vids. Keep up the good work.
I said this before the first layer of tape reverse the tape so the next person can cut the tape off without all the stickie stuff is not all over the wires Bill N LI NY
What a simple solution for installing tape in a small place. Thanks for passing that one along.
Awesome video! Thanks from Las Vegas
I've that you give the customer the option. Others would just milk the Cow but Eric is always honest and fair. Like you deductive reasoning too. Great video.
That there brother is years of experience in trouble shooting ,thanks
I went way too complicated on one of these. After an embarrassing amount of testing and whatnot, I decided to just check the button. It wasn’t plugged up.
Nothing wrong with overlaying a wire. Do it on aircraft all the time, literally thousands of wires, all white…no colors, so tearing everything apart is just not feasible. Run a new wire. Great video's you make…thanks
Customer: What was it?
A broken wire.
Oh nice, how much do I owe you for that?
6,5 billion dollars
why so much?
the broken wire was behind the radiator. I had to remove the entire car.
Why did you not remove the radiator from the car, instead of remove the car from the radiator?
Oh.. wait.. thx for the tip.
Like his jumper wire. Plain and simple. Me I put a fuse holder in. Now I'm thinking a waste of my time
Hey there viewers and welcome back to the self made auto channel 😀
"Gas hole" has a whole different meaning with me 🙂
Awesome job sir
What are you thinking these cases of overlays sliding a small piece of loom tube along the wire to help protect it?
That women does need her own cooking show.
Eric giving us a little serial killer vibe here. "I'm going to cut her between the veins,"
Handier than a two pocket T shirt 👕.
do yall live at the shop?
Good catch, wish there were more guys like you in the repair trades.
My wifes fuel door quit working. It unlocks when you unlock the doors. I couldnt get to the electric solenoid to replace it. Finally got it to unlock after many many tries. I then unhooked the power so it doesnt lock any more…
This was a great video !!! Great tip on tape roll hack !!!
I do not care who changes your oil………Do your Due Dilligence before you leave the shady oil change place and make sure there is oil at the proper level on the dip stick before you start or drive the vehicle. It will not cost you anything to check it. I promise you it is free to check on your own.
I like your thought process, don't open things you don't have to, it makes extra work and makes customers mad at you.
Full size kitchen in the shop.. Where's the bed?
That's crazy 4 diy people…opening different wiring programs
I like the handle on the hood release.
One wire out of all that bunch in that wire loom? What would cause a wire to corrode like that in the middle of a loom? The bend in the wire maybe. Causes a hotspot? Im reaching of course. 🤣
Cold weather locations are a cars worst nightmare. Nothing but car "cancer." Corrosion.
The only concern I would have is if there would be another wire in that section that is rubbing through
Good electrical work
There haven't been any real town cars since 1989.
Hey man I love watching you channel I've been doing it for 30 years and my father for about 60 years and I still learn something for you so just saying I lisen to every mechanic idea cause it helps !
"When you start probing from the back side you sometimes dont get in all the way". Michael Scott would be proud of you sir!
I just realized that your videocamera work is really quite superb……yet you manage to downplay it. After binging on your videos I find myself completely intolerant of other utube videos that are often underlite, out of focus, herky-jerky, missing sound, and poorly targeted. How you manage to keep your hands free, your subject area well-lite, focused, steady and targeted is really quite remarkable. This important feature really makes your videos uniquely fun to watch, highly informative and damn addictive. Please keep up the great work. Dr. K.
very nice
Definitely like the tape trick. TY for the tip.
On a wiring diagram, T/O stands for Take Out, which is where wires branch out from the main harness. Example: The green wire you pulled out of the harness to connect to the overlay wire would be considered a T/O. It can be one wire or a bunch.
Dont car for wire over lays either I'd rather fix the break
Gas hole check
I'm gay
2 years later, i wonder if that poor lincoln has been put out to pasture. Thanks for video!
You should have your own tv show.
Does anyone ever wash under the hood and under the car to keep the salt damage down
So I see the title, and I think, it's just a cable release, what could go wrong? The only time I ever saw anyone with a gas door that wouldn't open was a realtor lady who was unable to fill up her Rolls Royce due to this problem, imagine my great schadenfreude.
So, anyway, watching with the sound off, it dawns on me….an electronic gas door release???
Talk about your answer to a question nobody asked.
Eric what program were you using?? I need that for my 2003 dodge ram 1500
Always wondering why guys who fix this kind of problem are far from my place.
Hot wire, not just for ignition’s!
