Wish my hub came out that easy. Frozen to the axle
which model impact did you use in this video.?
Great tool!
Curious, whats your labour charge for that exact job and vehicle (frt/wh/bearing) 2012 mazda 6
i have the same exact car Mines one year newer,, google picture search "Lexani Twister Chrome rims" .. My actual car will come up…its the one Same color as this car with graffiti in the background,,, I believe it's the same color as this car that he's fixing… it's polished slate Almost a black color has 68,000 on it with a auto tranny , Here in Arizona we don't have to worry about rust,, but I've replaced just about everything rubber on the suspension including upper and lower control arms.. so yeah we have to worry about rubber drying out… now I always use clear silicone on all of my rubber parts every six months or so I sprayed them down…. Had no clue they were taking my cars picture that day,, Otherwise I would've washed it , The car looks slightly different now the windows are completely black.. I've done many other things to the car but I don't have enough room to type about it,,,lol Let's just say I've done anof… But I haven't done the wheelbearings yet.. they seem fine..Again everything is pretty rust free… I did take your advice with the Napa parts for brakes they do cost a lot more but they're perfect…I ended up spending $500 on all 4 brakes and then got a $75 visa anywere gift card …Which I used to buy gas… But yeah I don't have that luxury of a place to do work on the car so anywhere I do it it's in a public parking lot…And there's always somebody that wants to help you and bother you while you're doing the work… Pretty irritating when people do that… They always like do you need help ,,,, does it look like I need help I have the whole Brake pads and rotors removed with my toolbox next to me I think I know what I'm doing… Anyway I find this car super easy to work on .. Easier than any other car I worked on
Iโm thinking of getting this car 2010-2012. Are they reliable and what common problems/flaws do they have?
My snapon guy made me aware of the "pry-driver"
You making me laugh, ewes a real character ๐๐๐๐๐๐
Pirate jokes. Lmao.
Breathing too much brake clean Eric O.
Keep up the cool vids bro
Where are you located at ????
Hello, I had a question, taking the "grinder wheel" to the inside of the baring face does that not remove a measurable thickness? Would removing that material take thousands off the runout?
These videos are gold.
How much did the pirate have to pay for his earrings? A buccaneer!
When taking the bearing out does that adapter plate on the back of bearing to drive it out go on the inner or outer race of the bearing?
Itโs the tone ring facing the engine when you put it on or facing outward toward wheel
i needed a good laugh and there were several – fave? The right arm thing. Cheers.
Course you gotta charge, for that Ford, with the fuzz, in the MAF sensor! Ainโt nothing for free!๐ if it were, youโd be named, โCharity Main Autoโ! Kidding me?
Thanks Eric. You the man.
Pirate day.
Another fine repair job brought to you by S.M.A. BABY!
So……what's in the box from Astro tool? Huh? Huh?
Nice video! Having used the cheap sets successfully all I can say is used grease on the threads and don't use impact tools. Wind her up good and tight then hit round the hub with a hammer to shock the bearing loose and repeat. Once it's moved the first few mm it should keep coming out without needing hammered
Licensed auto Tech here from Canada… Left the auto industry cuz I wanted to "work smarter, not harder" and went into IT. Cannot express the joy I see in all your videos, as I miss this work, but don't miss the hamburger hands. Keep up the good work and my hat is off to you.
Yeah when he says inner race he means it. Iโve made the mistake of using the outer and when the bearing comes apart your guaranteed to say the required curse words.
"If I can do it, you can do it" – I can't do that, I'd get my girly hands dirty. I'm allergic to manual labor of any kind. Haaaachoooooo
Bare hands and torch, my God!!!
Two of yous guys workin' on one car. Must be a slow day.
Donโt embarrass me or Iโll punch you in the face. ๐
WOW very kool great info. AAAAAAAAAAA++++++++++++ again great video I liked it a lot keep up the great work
"You can always tell the bachelors –strong right arms!"
I nearly died!
I'll take a skf over garbage Moog anyday
Entertaining as always
question: I am thinking of doing this on my Element, when removing it, how do you avoid the wheel speed sensor? I didn't see you remove it? Maybe you said how if you did I missed it.
Seat belts saves lives, famous motto in the State of Victoria Australia, Eric O, wear yours! Tah.
Ah yes the old flying snap ring. Love them NOT! Nice video.
Thanks you make it s look easy sure learned lot from you .
So a pirate walks into a bar and orders a beer. The bartender canโt help but notice the pirate has a ships wheel stuffed down the front of his pants. Finally the bartender asks what the ships wheel is for, to which the pirate replies โaargh itโs drivin me nutsโ.
Astro 1894, YES PLEASE
Nice work
hitting the slim jim that is….
Is it a coincidence when a wheel bearing fails shortly after a brake job that involves the difficult removal of a particularly corroded/seized rotor?
I hate YouTube ads, but seeing your videos now monetized and having multiple ads makes me very happy for you sir! Keep up the good work.
Ball joint about to shit the bead along with that bearing. Better off with rear wheel drive vehicles, less wear on parts, more reliable. Car looks pretty new to be puking wheel bearings.
Strong right arm. I am busting a gut laughing LOL.
Should always wear your seat belt Eric
Thanks for greasing. It makes me so happy. Not!!
Eric, please wear your seatbelt when you're in a moving vehicle. We all rather like you, and for whatever reason, Vanessa actually loves you… I'm sure we'd all prefer that you remain undamaged in the event of an accident/mishap! ๐
Here's a joke for you, what do you call someone who doesnโt wear a seatbelt? An organ donor.
Stay safe Eric, we love you!
Use a cutoff wheel to clean out the snap-ring groove, but you don't want to see red sparks.
Moments later: red sparks.
Hey Eric, I'm sure in one of your other videos you said not to use Napa wheel bearings as they're no good? We've just started selling their Proformer ones at my place of work in the UK.. Luckily not had any back under warranty yet๐.
How do you pronounce your last name? Obrochta?
