DO we NEED to reuse the paper floor covers?
Do you have a new email?
Ray, I thought you may have blown the debris out of that sir cleaner.
what ever happened to the bug car that you had to bug bomb? Did I miss anything.
The car announces that it's too dirty to clean it's act up.
That's brilliant!
Ray, I got that scammer today pretending to you. I usually just report em but I noticed one of the options is a choice to mute the sucker. Glad to see YT reacting to an existing problem. Way to be proactive YT.
Ray,
What woud be your guesstimate as to haw many vehicles you have driven?
ITS A GDI. GOOD and DIRTY INTAKE!
I change a couple of Hyundai batteries before but never had any issue with the saving radio memory upon replacing the battery. I guess the person who trained me didn't tell me that I need to supply power to the radio module before replacing it. It is a good thing I learn from Ray, I would have been a bad technician.
Ever heard of 'legionaires disease'
Ray, love your videos. Started watching after running out of AVE's lol. Buuuut, this Fe isn't a base model. Leather seats, push button start, prox key. "Sport" was just what they called all the 5 seat Fe's until the 2019 model.
end of video. perfect jam to end it with. Day N Night
Why are the other bays empty? Is he the only mechanic at this location?
As always dont forget ray to hv a great day. He he he 😂 😏
oh ok, I didnt get what was entertaining about the channel until a saw the comments. Its car repair for retirees and voyeurism. A slightly over torqued drain plug and an puddle clean up… edge of my seat. Your subscribers probably dropped their tapioca with excitement and had to call the nurse.
get some oil filter cap wrenches. makes it 100000x easier for removal and install.
His done it again damn he keeps getting me with oil change videos
Must be nice to have one that doesn't fight you all the way occasionally.
The washer fluid is blue so you know it's good. 😊
Doo dee do do – what that's sound? its the sound of treachery! (apologises to League of Extraordinary Gentleman).
I've watched several of your vids, Ray, and finding a good mechanic is one thing, but finding an honest one is pure gold. I believe that you are both. There is a stigma surrounding mechanics that is similar to used car salesmen, which is unfortunate. I understand the need to make profit, but I also believe that honest shops will produce more repeat customers. I have a shop in my area that takes really good care of me, and has even gone as far as not charging me for minor repairs because they consider me a "good customer". I believe you are one of those mechanics that I could trust, and that I would go to if I lived nearby. I have learned a lot from your channel, and I look forward to more!
I remember that from science class – "negative and opposite of negative"!
I got a evapcooler just like that works great for a garage cooler and to help cool off a hot car ; )
I would have used 5W-30 which is also specified in the owners manual as an oil to use if 5W-20 is not available. 5W-30 will give better protection in the hot Florida weather .
You got to wiggle it, correct the angle of the dangle. Love your vids
I laughed thanks.
Always good to replace the battery if it's at all questionable.
Do bad you can’t find some type of glasses camera or some type of set up to head mount for it.
Hey ray i wrote you before asking if you would send me information on where you got your ratcheting finger wrenchs and what brand of tools are they. I sure need to get them could use them on a job i am doing will you please help me out with the information on them finger wrenchs. Like i ask where did you buy your tool at.thank you so very much keep up with your videos
I can't believe that you didn't at least blow out that dirty ass air filter if you weren't going to replace it.
looks like engine oil hasnts benn changed on the regular…. old baked on oil on dipstick… and possible sludge in engine now
thought u could not film withusic… how do u not commit music violations
get a head adapter for the camera… you will have better videos
Hey Ray I love your videos but the one thing that kind of bothers me is when you refer the W on an oil cap as Winter when it actually stands for Weight. A 5W-20 is a 5 Weight oil that when hot acts like a 20 Weight. My Dad was in the petroleum industry for 29 years with a major oil company. Just a quick mention as to the actual meaning of the W.
You should have added a bag of ice. It works a lot better to that somewhat you call humidifier
Negative minus = remove first, minus take away, Positive + plus or Add first. Duh
Hold it. Not one to complain, but did that oil container say 5 L when you said 5 quarts? You are off by a quarter quart on the high side. Treachery indeed.
Just unsubscribed. No more wasting my time with click bait.
Hey ray I enjoy watching your videos. I need a bit of help. I have a 2004 GMC Envoy with a 4.2L engine. It will not rev passed 2000 rpm’s. Now I replaced the throttle body, did the relearn for the throttle, brand new transmission, the camshaft sensor, the fuel filter, checked the fuel pressure it’s at 50 psi, and finally I’ve checked the converters. They are fine, did I miss anything else?? I’m confused on why it’s still will not rev past 2000 rpm’s. And other advice would be good.
my nuts squeek when i move them to, , all this time i thought it was just me…
Anyone else wonder how fast he would be if he used 2 hands?
Reeeeee! Reeeeeeeee!
I certainly hope this is a joke
As a safety person at my company and a rule from my father. Whenever working on your vehicle always take off your jewelry. So that you don’t lose a finger or get caught in something. Other then that BE SAFE LOVE THE VIDEOS!!
I found the red subscribe button…where is the green one?
😂
Ray while you were installing the blue overflow fluid, on the left side above the headlight and minuscule multi-legged creature scurried away from you, going out of our view.
I work at Hyundai and I fill the washer fluid like that lol
Man it's the little things you do that make you great. The average mechanic would not worry about radio settings and keeping power to the module while pulling the old battery. Great customer service sir.
It's actually best to run the
GDIengins about 2/10 of a quart over because it uses so much oil in between oil changes. There's actually a big lawsuit with Hyundai and Kia about those engines.Bug your boss for a battery saver really handy for Hondas
That was a nice car for 100k miles. Not like the crusty rusty cars that usually come in. Congratulations to the owner for looking after it.
Should of clicked those air filter tabs!
It seems that car manufacturers just cannot put enough crap in the way of maintenance items. My dad, who was a mechanic up through 1981, saw the beginning of this. His cure was a combination of lefty-loosy on the bolts holding the crap in place, and accurate aiming while tossing said crap in the nearest garbage can.
I enjoyed this treachery
You always do an awesome job. Also loved hearing Ryan Upchurch music in the background
Expected to see treachery and feel sorry for the victim, but I was the victim all along! Well played.
But did your reset the bcm for the car
What about the motor recall on all Hyundai and kie car's from 2012 to 2018 ??
Mechanic to mechanic, lose the metal wedding ring! Get a groove ring! enjoy fleshy parts on bone’s
I like the swamp cooler because you can look up the hose to the side spigot and make it a constant 50% fill
I love how many moments he says something that would fit a “That’s what She Said” joke. Yes I am aware of how mature that is….
But Ray, brake cleaning the floor is soo easy and satisfying
You not only not clean the first battery cable terminal, but you left it loose. What’s up with that dog?
I enjoyed when you also tricked us into watching you pour blue fluid all over your floor and thus cleaning it from the oil and brake cleaner mess.
Why overflow the washer fluid?
It's so hard to watch a left handed mechanic. I'm always thinking "You got the wrong hand on that!" HA HA!
No world famous battery service?! I feel robbed! (Kidding!)
I did have a good day today, lots of clickage, ( I was installing a suspended ceiling grid ) and no doo dee doo dee doos. Thanks for continuing the positive vibes!
Naughty Ray didn't clean the inside of the battery leads. LOL.
Dude are you right of left handed? I see you working efficiently with your left hand all the time.
If so-called mechanics didn't tighten drain plugs like wheel lugs, the threads wouldn't get stripped. But the fact that they do is one of many reasons why I don't let mechanics work on my cars, unless I absolutely cannot do the job myself.
I would probably trust Ray more than I trust myself, though. With all the apathy and incompetence nowadays, its a pleasure to watch someone who has mastered his job, performing it as efficiently and effortlessly as he does.
The vast majority of Hyundais I've done that had that DIC, the owner had the service interval turned off completely. And IDK what it is with Hyundai/KIA owners, but at least 90% of them never turn off their headlights. My best guess is it's because they think their car has automatic headlights, when really it's because the car kills the power to the lights before the battery dies.
Actually I don't care if the video was a trick. Ray the trick would of been on you if the car wouldn't of started. Show some older cars from the 1960s up if any of those come in. I remember the volkswagen you worked on I think it was a 1960s VW.
Know any good auto repair and body shops in San Jose, Ca.? If so will be checking for a reply. Please And Thank You. It hard to find or trust a good Auto repair shop , all it takes is one bad employee but the shop is good. Need help
What and where did you find that A/C? I need one of those for my Shop up here in the Tampa area!!
Hey ray, long turn subscriber here. Can you tell me why some dealerships will not use the right oil in certain cars? For example, my truck is almost new 27,000 miles and a v8. It requires 0w20 but the techs keep putting 5 w20. What is that about?
Always Like
When Ray didn't take it for a test ride and didn't hook up the scan tool, I knew we were in for something simple.
The little plastic clips for the battery cover actually went "click". I was disappointed when you didn't say it.
Another battery and oil change video. That was awesome. Have a good one
Ray I’ve been watching your videos for about a month and I’m starting my first day of UTI on Monday. Your videos help me understand the kind of mindset I should have when working on my car, but more importantly others and I thank you for that 🙏
I enjoy this channel
Dude the washer fluid over pour is cracking me up
That lift motor is about to go out.
Treacherous Ray with the sneaky oil change.
Wait, did you prefill the new oil filter?
My right front brake pads have been rattling for over a year, I didn't think it was the pads trying to relate the issue to other people's issues online. Replaced ball joints, control arms and bushings, end links, bearings, tie rod ends are fine, springs and shocks are fine, the strut bearings look brand new. This rattle was ridiculous, would only stop when I hit the brakes or go in reverse, but almost any sort of rough spots in the road would make a racket. Just had to tweak the pad clips and it stopped, can't believe it was that. But I did that 2 days ago, now my left front brakes are squealing like they're dying especially when I go in reverse. IT NEVER F@¢#!$& ENDS!!!
South main auto? SOUTH MAIN AUTO!? Eric o
You were discussing the fan at the beginning. I used to work for a welding fab shop. We had some NOS, 3 ton package units on the hill that was never used on some projects 20 years ago. I brought some down to the shop, built a stand to set it on and put a power cord on it to use in the shop. If you were with in 10 feet of it you could reap the benefits of the 100 degree high humidity days here in Oklahoma.
Thank you Ray for updating us how your friend is doing or rather not doing Im so sad for him that there is no change…😢I have an 09 Accent and wow my battery is very small in comparison!
Ray. I like the spin and run method. Will use in the future. Thanks
Too bad yours and all others Subscribe buttons weren't Green, I think Green would be more inviting than Red.
I thought you were serious about your subscribe button being Green, so I briefly unsubscribe and then obviously resubscribed, just to check.

Sorry – many MANY moons ago, I was a "lube tech" at a local/regional auto service chain. Checking for old, stuck oil filter gaskets was drilled into us on a near daily basis. I'm sure the Hyundai is fine but it's something I noticed as it triggered me watching you NOT check for that. I am NOT trying to tell you what to do, obviously. There's a reason I'm an IT Systems Admin and not an SAE Master Tech…
I also miss Russian Ray. Any idea when he's coming back to visit?
CARRY ON!
Does not matter what you are doing Ray, I am retired and enjoy just hanging out with you! Any knowledge you pass along is icing on the cake ! Guess the scammer got tired of us insulting him as he has left the building today…..
Pro tip: dump some dot 3 on the floor and scrub a bit. Then add a little bit of water. Magic will happen. All oil and crap on your concrete will pull. Then just rinse down the drain.
I always thought it was odd swamp coolers were used so much in super humid climates. Personally f all that noise. You must coat all your tools
Treacherous and enjoyable
"Some friendship is closely akin to treachery"- —Robert N.Lee
Let the pump go for a few minutes to get the media wet before starting the fan.
