In this video I help Miss Marie fix up her Civic. She smacked a raccoon on her way to work in the early hours of the morning. She didn't think it did much damage but a few miles down the road the car started to overheat and she knows enough from being in the shop to pull over and shut it off!! Let's see if we can get her car back on the road.

To be honest, you really didn't need to go back and re-weld that radiator support. They just do that at the factory because some accountant figured out it was 10 cents cheaper per car to tack weld it vs. bolting it and being more serviceable. If it were me, I would've just drilled out some nice holes and put some hefty bolts and called it a day. Maybe welded on a washer or two just to thicken the shear area. It would've made things a lot easier the next time she hits a raccoon.
That I have done in the past when I needed a part like this was to use a sawzall and over cut to get the part + out. Then when you have it out and at the shop (or driveway in my case) get it down to just the part. Makes it easier when you have access to all your tools rather than just what you packed to the yard

I live in Houston and listen to scottie. I have taken his advice about serten scanners but now he lives in Colorado. I still listen to he's advice on his program. I have certain codes on my 2011 cadillac srx 3.0 motor

Last year I hit a deer with my wife's 2011 Civic and it caused less damage than that. I repaired it using a 1X4 to bend the radiator support straight and a dozen zip ties.
I'm 3 years behind here. Even if Miss Marie just paid for the junkyard stuff then Eric saved her a fortune. But I bet Eric absorbed it into Tax Deductible. Miss Marie is one lucky lady to have worked for you previously and you Mr O are her Knight in Shining Armour. You are a great guy Eric O and she is a lucky lady. Kudos. Your good deed for the day. It just shows the real Eric O we see, is the real Eric O we see. One great guy. But what is a man without his lady. Mrs O is a real lady and you are a great couple. How many wives would give their all to working in the Office doing everything, raising the children and supporting their man like she does. Random I know. 40+ years as a Licensed Auto Damage Appraiser, Body Shops would Straighten The Lower Core Support or get a new piece & Pop rivet it in ! Remember it is a " non" appearance item ! P.S. Eric , You fixed it RIGHT.
