That steering wheel would drive me crazy.
Candy ,watch you ass … lol
………And I thought my Ford van with 460 was crowded under the hood………
Well done all around….
Sounds like the Boxing Match bell! lol

**DING**
Oddly satisfying noises🤣
Had to tell ya, you got my 8 y/o programmed. Every time your phone rings he says “do-do-do-do-do” ha
Always nice work 👍👍👍
You change the water pump but you don't change the thermostat you don't flush the radiator wow all that work and you don't do something that simple. You don't even drain the block.
Jerryb
Why didn't you just tell him to buy a new van??? With the thousands of problems YOU found it's gonna cost him the same amout of money anyway!!!
I'm not entirely sure why, but the "Click! Ding! Click! Ding!" bit was one of the funniest things I'd heard in a while. Even if you swear you weren't doing it on purpose… 😀
All of that tearing apart, just for a water pump gasket…wow.
That’s ok Ray there’s not much difference between a crankshaft and a tail shaft
A beginner mistake lol
Is this an Amish mover van?
Also true: If you take good care of your customer, your customer will take good care of you.
I've learned not to do that…….. Code for I trasshed a radiator and learned my lesson…….
That must have sucked to have to remove a lot of that to put the vent bolt in that pump….
50% of the reasons why I watch Rays videos is the noise he makes when the phone rings.
Made me laugh. But very true. If people see that your auto is taken care of they are more likely to reciprocate the same.
“It’s all about ball bearings and pry bars these days. “
The official name of “the claw” is actually a “pokie grabbie”. You’re welcome.
Rubber gaskets are much much better than the metal with inserts.
You can not pull a circle back, she finally left. Psacki.
Some times fixing these machines is great because new stuff is risky and registration fees are much lower on older equipment and customers understand a good mechanics work.
Smuts invented; Holism is the idea that various systems should be viewed as wholes, not merely as a collection of parts. The term "holism" was coined by Jan Smuts in his 1926 book Holism and Evolution. Wikipedia
I can sure tell the designer of these cars do not have to work on them. And they would die before be willing to ask a mechanic for advice. Remember the 1965 Ford Falcon with a straight six and standard shift. You could get to everything.
get rid of those style of hose clamps n use the screw adjusting ones, those pinch clamps are crap
change the gages to American, not in meters n such.
Why Mr. Raymond ray if customers lays your working on this van keeps nice fluent in it why would the water pump seals go out and never been able to figure that out Well maintenance the vehicle on your cell and I'm dying up 67 $800 job Love to hear from you do you wanna great job but keep up the good work
I always tell my customers that a leaking seal works two ways. It leaks and sucks in dirt and air. Bad for longevity.
🤣 when anyone how ownes a big van and at anypoint bribes and offers candy to anyone….. might be a bad position 😂
😆 that phone ringing is the equivalent to “ SQUIRREL “ !!!!!! 🤣
I understand hat replacing a pump is FASTER than repairing one… But, if I were to work on my car at my own pace, can I repair the pump … I mean ,can it be done?
Ray good day from Ontario Canada the true north. Can you send the link to buy that clamp remover tool .. I want to make them a new home in my tool box…I'll just simply put it….cough ….I can't live with you them…. Keep up the content ty

Drove a 2005 Express every day for 10 years and it was amazing! Other than water pump, starter, tires, brakes, battery 250k it was good!
Always clean my vehicle inside and out before bringing it for service. I also bring a couple dozen donuts. If I’m getting my vehicle detailed I always clean and vacuum myself. Then they have to make it look better than when I brought it in 😂👍
WOW very interesting super kool ,1st class great info.,, AAAAAAAAAAA++++++++++++ again great video I liked it a lot ,keep up the great work.
Damn that water pump had a lot of hoses
My dad had one of those claws when I was little. I'd dumps screws and bolts on the floor and use it to pick them up and put them back in the parts draws again. I also used it in a Halloween costume to grab the candy. lol, What a great memory.
Those screw based hose clamps are nice but sometimes it helps to apply some thread locker on them as a CYA.
Scott Kilmer and Ray are the to best mechanics to watch. They are both very good at their profession and both are very fun to watch
Ray needs a better way to record his work so he can use two hands ✋
Wait are they planing slow jamz 👀
Well done, Ray. 400,000 kilometers is about a quarter million miles, so that van is in unheard of fantastic condition. I'm guessing the Canadian owners are snowbirds who migrate back and forth. They have done an incredible job of maintaining it. I don't know if the situation is the same now, but for many years there were differences in ignition and emission equipment between Canadian and American cars. Out standards were much lower for emissions. Because of this, if a Canadian car broke in the US, and it was one of those components, the car would need to be shipped back to Canada for repair. It wasn't even legal to have the part shipped to the owner on the US. Made for fun times. That did affect Crown Vics and Grand Marquis models from the mid-80s through the mid-90s with the 302. There were 8 calibration codes, some of which were Canada specific. Then again, the ones with the 351 had no issue as there was only one calibration code for that engine each year.
Why would a paying customer get poor service based on how they treat their car?
my hose clamp pliers are the cable style. slip the end over squeeze them until they lock then set them down and go after the hose with both hands
