Thist's was is the third and final installment of the the replacement of the rear axle on a 2019 Ram 1500. The truck was involved in a collision on the the right rear quarter and the the body shop had me replace the axle assembly and linkage.

Right bump stop???????????
Great job but what about the bump stop?
I wish you showed damage more clearly to Bed…
One wonders if those control arm bushings got so mangled how could one be sure that what they were attached to didn't? Not a body and frame guy at all but I bet that thing will leave four separate tire tracks in the snow.
Last time I did the rear end finger test my wife got very upset.
Ray you love showing your woobley bits
Try greasing the hammer in the impact if possible.
man that shit on my jeep you'd think I was buying snap-off tools instead
You forgot the bump stop lol!!
Is that shock bent
You are a good mechanic
You forgot the right side axle bumper. You mentioned it in the previous video, but forgot. Not a huge deal unless they load the bed to over capacity.
I thought in episode 1, I hope he checks the differential, good job!
What about the missing passenger side bump stop?
You are doing a good job ray boy
Genius move using the punch for a pry bar fulcrum on the LCA's. "That being said", I always use "real clicks" on suspension links, but my Jeep has a lot more suspension travel. Thanks for final duk-duks with the suspension loaded, though.
Good to see u actually checked the prostate on this ram by jamming your finger in its rear and finding no fluid so adding the proper amount for this rear to not poop out it’s gears,
Damn. If it was my truck, I'd sure wonder what the innards of that diff looked like. No grease. Run dry? Fried bearings? Gnarled gear teeth from abuse where ever it was before? Customer (body shop) supplied parts so I suppose if it goes south it's on them. Ya rolls the dice and ya takes your chances I suppose.
Wow scary… how many techs would not have checked the lube on that axle! 😱
Your park brake cable routing passenger side ??? Think that needs a rethink 🤔
Great videos Ray! I watch every one since I got caught up from your first bunch. I noticed the other orange bump-stop is still off. Hopefully it got installed.
I have 45 years in the automotive parts supply business. It was not hard to figure out who was a true mechanic and who were the parts changers. You, my friend, are a true technician and if I was in your area, I would be bringing my vehicle and my family vehicles. Your attention to detail, your innovations, your knowledge, and your patience are a true breath of fresh air in automotive service industry. It has been a pleasure watching you work.
Ur title… priceless… ah ha ha… lmmfao
Once again, your insurance adjuster opted for a used differential with 30K on it to replace your differential which has 4K on it. Posi out, open diff. in? I noticed that it is easier to grab the correct metric socket for each bolt…me neither. Also, notice the use of heavy gauge steel on the chassis, thanks to US gov't. cafe standards, your new Dodge will rust out in 4 years instead of 6. Good thing you only paid $49K for this bucket of bolts.
Great job!
Darn! Dude! Is there NO END to your tool box? I've watched about 15 of your videos. I work on bicycles, and while I don't use power tools that much, working on vintage bikes I have a ton of specialty tools, but your collection is beyond!

A plastic plug on the diff, how cheap a$$ can they get
big question why did they not remove the box on the truck first??
You forgot to replace the missing bump-stop!
Snubbed rt upper?
The right rear bump stop was missing.
I binge watched all 3 parts this afternoon. Interesting to watch and of course now that I am totally trained as a mechanic, I will proceed to do these types of repairs myself. Bwahahahahaha.
Very useful information there Rainman Ray, but those kinds of repairs are best left to the professionals like yourself. Thank your sharing the video series. i look forward to viewing many more.
But there was a bump stop missing on passenger rear🤔. Otherwise I enjoy watching your videos Ray🤘
You forgot the missing bump stop.
Ray you missed the frame bumper?????
BUMP STOP still MISSING!
You didn't install the passenger side snubber.
Hey Ray, you should get your very own "Prudence the safety goat" for the next time you do anything with suspension…guaranteed to make everything less sketchy!
Nice series of videos
Missed the little frame bumper.
Should be wearing safety glasses.
It only takes ONE incident.
