Every time you break out the brake clean. I say you wouldn't use that as much if you had the pay for it instead of the shop. That stuff isn't cheap.
I'd say you're picking up more background noise, you might see if there are some adjustments you can make.

Took time to get use to audio.. at first it sounded like everything was too loud (background audio was loud) but as i got about 8mins into the video didnt notice the audio anymore.. it definantly makes your audio more clear overe the other noise.. but it can also amplyf the doodeeedoodoeo ring

I like your previous audio better. Your voice sounds tinny and muffled while somehow the tools and metal on metal contacts are sharper and louder (Loud Noises). There also is a constant background noise. Maybe some large fans running?

I do love playing the “ can I beat Ray to finding the problem” game… On the Fiesta I would have pulled the pollen filter and checked it was in good condition and not dropping parts into the fan..
The audio is a little muddled, agreed, though I can hear you much clearer IMO. You're definitely picked up more, and probably running the video through a background noise defuzzer filter/software would clean it up quite well.

Welll the new gopro has a loudish knocking sound in it. Maybe turn the distributer the other way. Did I say retard the battery in the gopro?

I kind of agree with (The Anthony Markley 260} loud noises are louder, other than that I like it.
You could use an oscilloscope to see if there's a bad spot in the blower's commutator. That way it wouldn't be a guess.

Did you clean the block also? I was expecting a right angle roloc clean followed by brake cleaner. Come'on man dooo de dooo the brake cleaner! You still had half a can to kick after cleaning the filter housing!🤣🤣🤣 Great entertainment. I give you an Emmy. Your way better than anything on TV! Ps relays buzz when they don't fully engage. If you get too emotional you can lay on couch and vent. I'll listen and take notes.

My guess is something jammed the fan on the last Ford. I thought I noticed that the gasket on the oil filter housing didn't line up with the passages on the first Ford.
Whoever designed the interior of that Fiesta should be fired. What a holy mess.

Just replaced a resistor on a BMW 2010 on my daughter’s car. Used your diagnostic technique to see if power was going to unit and had power so determined that it was resistor unit 45 dollar replacement part
The other mechanic was like "oh you like the smell of that @#$&"

Hope you do realise that the second one wouldn't start until you put your foot on the clutch 😅🤣good video, I recon it was a good call on the blower fan, it sucks when you can only surmise what it was, in the other's where the blower motor is under the glove box, paper useualy fall's out the box into the fan, all the best to you and your loved ones

I for one liked the previous audio much more this new setup seems to be picking up a lot of background noise like fan and road noise from outside the shop
For me, it seemed the sound imaging (location of sound sources) was a little better. I'm casting to my TV and it's going through a surround sound system. Anyway, certainly no worse, in my opinion.

Protip: If something is still leaking after a repair, don't try and fix it properly. Just throw some RTV and tighten the crap out of it. That will surely solve your problem.

You and your brake cleaner, Ray! I prefer CRC BrakeKleen though. I do sometimes use Kopper Koat along with the gasket, as it's designed to help the gasket to seal.

Thanks for your videos.. I have watched you change oil several times. I have also been changing my own oil for decades. As I am getting older it is increasingly getting difficult to change my own oil. so I started using oil change shops, but Due to some recent bad experience with a quick lube type of a place I have decided to pay my mechanic the extra 20 dollars to change the oil. I took my 03 Taurus into my mechanic due to an oil leak expecting pan gasket or even rear main needing replaced. But when I picked it up he said the person who changed the oil first of all put the wrong size on and on top of that the oil filter was cross threaded causing the leak.. My mechanic gave me a report of the damage to take to the lube shop but I decided that it wasn't worth my time for a $150 repair. I just decided to never use quick lubes again. As they hire anyone with a pulse paying them minimum wage and give them little to no training. So to avoid issues I decided to pay the extra 20 or so to get it done right the first time.

Sounds good. Rarely does audio lack much in your uploads. I'd go with whatever is the least pain in the ass so you stay motivated to keep making videos. I'm not even a big car guy but somehow managed to get addicted to your daily uploads. Excellent content sir!

I think it sounded better before. I love watching these videos. Even though I am "Mr Badwrench", they remind me of why I don't mind paying my mechanic for his skills when my ride needs repairs or service.

As far as sound… I did hear the lift much more clearer. So there might be something to it. I couldn't hear the "mini clicks", which working at a dealership, I'm very well aware of them, now i can!
Ray, consider that DC motors will not make a buzzing sound unless there is a "baseball card in the spokes". I think you should locate the relay as they will buzz in just the right conditions. Check the contacts as you did with the motor plug etc. If that relay lives near the driver I would check/swap or replace it first since it is much cheaper and an easy replacement. In any case let us know how it turns out.
