I know this is almost a year later video. But he short bend radius goes axle side lond bend towards frame/body. Those were wrong from whoever installed prior to you. Love warchting your videos.
I don't know if you will be able to read this or not I was wondering why would you have a pan to put on need to put on a hurry and be right the first time are you didn't screw a couple 3 studs in there as guides while you get the first two or three bolts in just curious hope you read this I've been trying to listen horsey all of your videos I watch most of them thank you sir
I'd call it maroon. Excellent video by the way. I especially appreciated the diagnostic video associated with it. Thanks for all the great videos. I'm busy catching up on all of them.
Should be tightened on a ramp lift or on the ground. Bushings should be at tide height Love your channel Ray you are a good Tech. Honest courteous and talented. I was a Self Employed Tech for nearly 40 Yrs. Keep up the good work Ray.
Back in the old days people just replaced bushings or ball joints but, now its cheaper and faster to just replace the entire control arm that comes with everything. I did that myself for my car and truck.
You really could have done them one at a time like you wanted. Jack the pinion or rear of diff for fore and aft movement. I've done it on the ground many times. Which, yes, is where you need to torque the bolts. This is the reason I don't like other people working on my stuff.
I really enjoy your videos I have learned a lot from you take your time and do it right Iโm actually very good at what I do also but you have again show me some things I didnโt know thank you for your videos
Over-valued Jeeps with stamped steel junk suspension. This is why you have to upgrade so much after over-paying for one of these. (Unless it's a pavement queen, but then; just get anything else for less $)
In the future, activate the brakes with a seat rod, use the tire as a rotational device and twist the entire assembly in to position needed for bolt insertion
Me thinks ray never reads these comments. Seriously. With all these same issues about the bushings and donโt see any replies. Losing faith in this guy or, would watch just to catch all his mistakes.
Watching the struggle to reinsert the control arm bolts, theyโre best done with the wheels o, the ground. Steering the wheels one way or the other usually moves the axle enough to start the bolts. Weโve had five Jeeps, and you sort of learn little tricks.

Didn't see you torque suspension parts. In relaxed position. That is what tears and ruins bushings.

In England it's called a panhard rod.
Well if your camera is set up properly, this thing is in no way, shape or form purple.

Having had Jeeps for over 20 years, I feel your pain
Looks maroon i.e. sort of brown really..purple is veering towards violet.
It must be a Jeep thing , I wouldnโt understand lol.
Whatโs funny is if you look at the yt transcript it identifies the impact as music
I did mine one at a time with the Jeep on the ground and it lined up easy.
If you think about it, these are free how to videos.
Norm is been normal lol
I am a Jeeper…I couldn't finish watching this video…
