In this video I have a look at a 2005 Lincoln Town Car that was dropped off with a complaint of overheating. The lady told me it started running hot when she was pulling a long hill. After letting the car sit for a while she was able to drive it to my shop. Sounds like a fan issue to me. Let's find out. -Enjoy!

Great job man. Doesn't need to be pretty needs to function and it did a ok
Hey it works &you fixed it.
Forget it.
Fenders clicking the guard rail post, the guy beside me was white as a ghost. Love that you know these obscure songs.
I'm guessing that you get negative comments about some of the non-standard, command decisions that you make. However, my humble opinion on that is, that's exactly why customers come to you, and keep coming back for life. They aren't just paying for your wrenching ability. They want, and need, your experience and common sense. Bravo, and thanks for another great video!
Just remember you can’t see it from the street and we’re not taking it to the fair 😀
2006 town car overheating as i idle. Thermonstat and fan switchbeen replaced. Not sure what it can be I was told it might be water pump.
Saved this lady some $.
great job. thorough explanation!
That repair is great. She was out $5 in connectors and $15 in coolant plus your time. Very fair. A dealer would have probably solder her a new fan assembly, new wiring harness, had the car for a week and charged $800
Is this the gas cap Lincoln with other electrical problems?
You done real good you were able to get her back on the road and that is the main concern all drivers have good job
I appreciation your video
Had something similar happen to my V8 Commodore. Fans had been accidentally disconnected. Pulled up immediately the temp gauge got hotter than normal, noticed fans weren’t on, let it cool, checked fuses etc. Gave it to my mechanic who reconnected fans.
That raccoon was a textbook case of suicide by Marie.
Anyone know what brand those crimping pliers are ?
Checking AMP draw would of been a good ideal I think. Am I wrong?
coral and king snake the the coral snake is yellow and black friend of jack and the king is black and yellow kill a fellow
Wait… While doing the road test, I think I saw Otis and Aunt Bee.
Was that the hill you towed a truck down in the snow in another video?
I had 76 Cadillac some time ago. Big boat/nice ride. Wish I would have kept it.
It's so people can recognize a coral snake from a king snake king snakes are not venomous yet coral snakes are and can kill you
My personal favorite is the Lincoln mark 3,love this big car comfortable and it will surprise you how much go, you calling it give it the beans.
Would have no problem with that fix on my car. It works it should last the life of the car unless the fan goes bad again. Even then replacement fan can be put in real easy. You didn't do anything weird wild you just fixed it. You don't need that harness connector you really get down to it. What you did is perfectly fine by my book.
Don't feel bad Marie, love nature movie too. Miss your shining smile and sense of style!
She was sharp enough to turn it off. Too many would keep going if they noticed at all.
love this chanell
Ya'll dinna watch enough Attenborough there O. A stote is about the size of a mouse. If youse could imagine a mouse sized Thang killing a rabbit you will understand how fast its metabolism is and eats its weight in food every day and does not get fat but is frantic day and night rustling up food, did I say frantically, oh yes O.
i shuddered when you wrapped the connectors with tape WHILE THE ENGINE WAS RUNNING.
Stoats are native animal killers Miss Marie, same as Ferrets look cute and lovely, hence the young lady appeal and lovingness ,don't be fooled
That engine is so happy you took it for that run lol. Years of carbon build up just got burnt off
Back when American motor companies actually made decent cars. Use to love GM, Ford, Dodge for various vehicles, owned them all. Now days with how much they try to avoid and coverup problems I wouldn't even think of buying one from the last decade. GM's "Allison" 10 speeds that explode after 20,000 miles and ford's bizarre idea of going with open deck blocks on something that's meant to be turbocharged. Ignition module fires, and Chrysler/Dodge of course is just a badge slapped on FIAT group platforms now.
oh wow those town cars look way better inside interior than grand marquis… I wanna go for nice Lincoln town car next time buy car
good job boss.
Must be the who who dried up
Hey it works and did the trick
Wow so the ole lincoln has a leaky who who, at least it's not constipated
Just think, with a normal fan mounted on the snout of the water pump this would never be a worry. Which is why l converted my two 4.6 cars to a nice, constant spinning fan with junkyard shrouds from 1994 models.
That original upper radiator hose needs to be replaced before it blows half way to Boston.
No she hit that raccoon. That raccoon has no concept of suicide.
It's a coral snake (venomous) and the milk snake (non-venomous mimic).
Thank you so much for your invaluable information, highly appreciate it, have a great day, you are a good person.
"If I can do it, you can do it." Bro, you have a whole shop. I have half of a parking space in an apartment complex that's presently covered in 3 inches of ice because Alaska.
I think that repair was more then acceptable. Great job as usual
She's so lucky! She'll be able to watch your cool repair job with this video. My dream!
Red touch yellow kill a fella
Coral snake
So… how much for that quick fix ???
I love al of your videos but especially the electrical repairs. You demonstrate that “real life” car repairs don’t have to be cost of what the dealerships or chains say they are. Dealer would have said she needed new connector which I’m certain would have been a huge bill. I wish we had a mechanic here that rolls like you do. I love your channel. Thank you for sharing! “Some sick burn outs!” Hahahaha.
“Son you gonna drive me to drinkin’ if ya don’t stop driving that hot rod Lincoln” 🎶 Love that intro for the Lincoln’s 🤣
Okay, but why was it so gutless gpimg up them hills. I have owned many Lincoln's including that year and never would any of them stay at 40 mph floored. ….all i could tjink was clogged cat
