In this video I am at home and I show you how I replace the carburetor on my Stihl MS210 Chain Saw using a very cheap kit I bought off the internet.

Wonder if the carb will fit my 6.4 hemi. Get 2000 mpg
I have a 170. Probably the same
Hi Again Eric Liked the video. George here from Canada, Run chains all my life ,Worked in the woods the first part of my life , that was my income ,when I first got married and had 4 kids 2 girls 2 boys, Leave home 4 Am. get home 5pm, Totally played out, I usually run Husky saws But I did buy an o44 Stihl. I still have it a good tough saw,/ And yes the carbs you buy are pre set you never have to adjust them ./ And yes taking a saw apart is not that hard Just put it back together in reverse order./ and yes the saw parts on Amazon are dirt cheap. The Stihl i own I let a friend use it , he said something happen to it, I brought it home , I pulled the cord, I said to myself ./ feels like he put raw gas in it , sure enough, The head and piston was toast. I checked with a chainsaw shop here for an oem head was 350.00, I can buy one from China,/ head, piston ,gaskets ,,seals for crank spark plug , breather for 47.00 dollars//// I must say it was different to see you working on a Chain saw. I have come home at night Tear my saw apart put a head and piston in and have the saw ready for work the next morning
Empty fuel and bar oil after use. Keep it clean and last you a life time. Had my Stihl wood boss for 22 years.
Is that the chainsaw with the Big 35 in it?
Thanks for limping through this carb install with me. Two people with no idea what they are doing is better than 1.
impressive woodshopping..
Iโm sure if you could read Chinese it saysโฆ. One hole, two screwโฆ.
I always liked the brake clean alert sound.
Is that a 9mm glock you have ??
Your doing a fine job mr.o nothing to it but to do it..๐
That cheap carb looks like it works super well without adjustment good video Eric O @SouthMainAutoRepairLLC
I like that about the fuel pump relay
Fuel line pulls out of fill hole and disconnect filter, then carb side out the top of tank and has a snap seal. Reach in with needlenose to get line out of tank.
I did not need to remove the choke lever rod. The throttle lin,k snaps out and the choke rod comes off easily.
I'm glad you showed where that wire went, as the one on mine was hanging loose. That's where I thought – no cutoff switch as it is simple spade lug contact on the choke lever.
Good info and decent view of what you were working on.
Your initial disassembly showed the air filter really obstructed , which may have been most of the problem !
As others, wondering if thereโs a โMotorweek long term road test updateโ to the wing wang carb replacement? Thanks in advance for the tutorial. I have an 029. So far no issues but good info now seared in my noggin. Iโve had success with several $20ish wing wang chang-ers on two mini bikes and a yard man snowblower. Tecumseh snow king w/o issues. That was before switching to only ethanol free gas for all equipment.
Like you said, for the cost of a few pizzas what do you have to lose? As always, great useful content. Thx ๐๐ผ
I have the same chainsaw, and I also neglect it and have to deal with the trouble with the carb. I should probably just drop a new carb on it too.
Enjoyed the video
Man 6 year old video saved me over 200 beans if I would need to buy a similar saw, maybe more, I have not shopped. Thats a tedious carb change for a sweet limb saw.
chainsaw.. money lights on.
Stihl easier than a Ford truck
Thank you for your excellent tutelage.
i love that new yorkers have pistols since i cant sell guns to a new yorker if they visit montana
I want to see a video on how you sharpen that chain. That cut pretty fast!
Nice 9mm on your right hip I have a Anderson am-15 a 556
So many more little parts so I noticed Erik O heโs auto technician now a chainsaw technician l enjoy his videos anyways ether he dusent know what he doing or knows
Yep, mechanics never fix their own stuff. Too busy fixing everybody else's stuff. Biggest hunk of junk on the road…belongs to the mechanic.
Watching you start your chainsaw like that made me cringe. When I was young boy, I saw my uncle start his like that. It kicked back and the chain struck him in the eye.
Smells like tarnish ๐ณ๐ณ๐๐๐
Love ya Eric O!!
You can buy factory carbs for fairly cheap
I bought one of these kits for my leaf blower 1 yr ago still runs good. The fuel line that came with the kit failed though i fixed it with rubber cement .i would suggest reusing the stihl line great video
Great job, u the man
These somewhat "off topic" videos only add quality and variety to your channel. Thanks
Don't forget to clean the sawdust out out of your sidearm! ๐
I've rebuilt many saw like that. I have 1 MS210 and 3 MS290's
Just got my cheapo carb friom Amazon and for the first time I'm gonna put your saying to the test. If you can do it…
Bring your saws to S M A folks .
Wing wang china huh? Us asian viewers are highly offended….๐
Egad Eric. Is there anything you CAN'T fix??
Update?
You forgot to disconnect the battery to release the fuel pressure. lol
No antise on the ol spark plug
Rubber cover is just a dust cover
Chow say high fit right fit
Looks like you got the point with the finger on the end of a pick yup
You forgot to say how much miles or trees has been used up and got the good ole doman carby
