Wish you could still have music in the background lol
My son-in-law give me his 2008 Chevy Cobalt 2.2L with only 104,000 miles, so your DIY was just what I needed. The old spark plug insulator tip was almost non-existent and I am almost done my DIY to do list on this Cobalt and it will almost be like new from A to Z. So, I just wanted to say thank you for caring about the DIY home mechanic.

Subscribing bro; that was a killer video.
I know my way around tools as an electrician; but no idea when it comes to mechanics.
Thanx dude; really appreciate the help with spark plug replacement. Our Chevy Cobalt is a very reliable car and wanting to keep it in optimal driving condition.
Please which spark plug puller are you using so I can buy on Amazon?
Had trouble with volume on this one.
Just remove the 4 bolts no need to remove the connectors, they can break
I dont think he uses ever seize anymore.
I suddenly developed intermittent shaking after fueling in my 2009 cobalt 2.2 l . It has 121000 miles. I put it a can of heet in red bottle. I drove it a few hrs and it ran fine then it returned. I have been using premium non ethanol fuel for 12 years. It has original spark plugs. I got code P300- Random misfire. This only occurs occasionally. Could it be water in gas. There were torrential rains in area about 10 inches in past week. Could it be related to spark plugs? Would it be better to use ethanol gas in humid summer to prevent condensation of water . Any thoughts. Thank you. I wish I was in NYS now or would have you look it over. But I'm in Iowa.
great video
So I habe the ss 2006 and I can not get the t27 bolts on the top cover to move at all ive twisted two bits any suggestions
No “if I can do it, you can do it” ???
My electrical connectors are stuck on there pretty good. Any tips for me? I tried grabbing it with pliers and even take the black coils out and yank them apart but to no avail.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you
Great help
Second time watching 5/24/2020
I've got the exact same car, except 2007. I was going to make a video on how to change the spark plugs, but Dr. O did such a good job I would have nothing to add. Thanks for all the help over the years, you've come a long way!
When did you stop calling yourself Dr. O? I like it, haha.
Hey Mr. O I imagine this is about the same process for 2.4l HHR…other than removing the cover/air box?
I have been watching SMA for nine months. They exemplify the Oscars, which have an award for Film Editing, Cinematography, Sound (2 types), Writing, and Acting. Eric O does it all. But in this, his fifth, the sound stinks, the editing is so-so, and the cinematography is only OK. Boy has he learned a lot. Now every part of making a video is masterfully done. Way to go, Eric O.
Back in the old days when you used to dress up for your videos 🙂
i viewed this vid. and wanted to order some Dielectric grease here in Holland,……. they have absolutely no idea what i'm talking about,……… i used this years ago on car batteries and so on..
now i was forced to order it on Amazon in the U.S. because in England it was too expensive ! but it arrives on thursday
Thank you master. Without you, I will never be able to take out the electric plug.
Does anybody know the spark duration on these type of coils.
Does the 2.2 L eco have a PCV? Where is it located? Thanks
Hay how bout miss o dose them on her car 🚘👍👍👍👍👍🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
This looks the same on a 2010 2.2L Cobalt.
Do they sell pre gapped plugs?
08 Cobalt here. Lots of easy / somewhat easy and affordable repairs to do on these vehicles. Still going strong.
Fields of gold playing in the background.
Long before Mr o had Swagger,,,,,,……..
I got a 08 236,000 miles same plugs when I bought it lol
WUW ??!?
is it the same procedure for 2007 model?
Great Video. Easy engine to change spark plugs.
You make it look easy—–THANKS FOR THE VIDEOS
I read that AC delco does not recommend anti seize? Why not torque?
Thanks for the video.
Love my 07 Cobalt 2.4l. It's very reliable. Also cheap and easy to repair.
Got any more Cobalt vids? Fantastoc step by step.
Hello, Eric. If you are using a torque wrench, how much is too much ? My wrench was off by 5 ft-lb and instead of 15 ft-lb I did 20 ft-lb… I removed the plug, replaced and tight it to 180 in-lb with another wrench, just worried if I damaged the threads.
Still a great video to re-watch 😉
A vacum would of been a better idea.
Same for 2005?
My chevy cobalt 09 lt starts then shakes then dies..I changed the oil yesterday but never changed the filter until this morning..could that be the cause? I also changed my spark plugs but nothing..it starts the rattles then dies..I need some help south main
Dr O?
Really enjoy the Cobalt PMs and repairs, my daughter has a 2006 Cobalt SS. Definitely looking forward to more.
paging dr eric o idk if you tried it yet but the castle brake lite grease works great as a dielectric grease too little pricey but very good we used it on all our star pack strobe lights and safty vision back up cameras on the garbage trucks i think it was around 30 for a vaccume tube cheese wiz can or they had those little 35mm film projectors contaners of it wow that ages me film strips and overhead projectors yes grade school late 70 s lol great work keep it up. wait this is from 3 years ago my bad
At this time…. are you calling yourself Dr.O? What the hell were you thinking? Glad you stopped with that utter nonsense.
Untuck your shirt or I'll kill myself.
