Installing for the first time an air conditioner "stretch fit" belt on a 2010 Subaru Impreza. Old belt was removed by cutting. Fans and upper radiator hose were left off for clarity. I just installed the timing belt and water pump. The tool I used to install was put out by gates and I got it at Napa and it is part # NBH517

Look how young you was holy crap dr.o lol
Thanks from the future. Noon time nuggets!!!!
great video as always!
curious who makes/sells the
"treat to work with" under hood stick work light you use? TIA
came back just to compare first video to current ones i like the newer ones with the jokes and stuff in them
Just checking on Eric's first video. 7 years ago and now he has almost 600k subscribers. Great channel Eric.
I was hoping you were going to start the engine to install it, that would have been more fun.
I hate stretch belts, especially Ford Transit ones
Are you still making new videos all the videos That I see are at least two years old, most are older than that? Why no new ones?
The first vid…look where it is now.
Boy Eric…. You sure have come a long way……
On a quest for knowledge.
Dr O with the stretch fit, cam clip, lost a finger cause of that shit, video
The video that started it all
You have become a master video presenter.
I’m surprise Eric/Dr.O (couldn’t resist) usually most Youtubers get a couple hundred thousand subscribers usually delete their first videos because they get embarrassed 😂
Thanks for not being like most.
Who took a time machine from 2021? Got bored and decided to see when your "anniversary" is (Oct 22). You've come a long way Mr. O!
I've loved all of your videos, so I decided to go back and watch all of them… In order… Haha, maybe my wife is right… I am crazy. Thanks Eric for what you do!
And remember; if I can do it, you can watch me do it.
In the beginning there was a man, a wrench, and a camera and the automotive repair adventure was just beginning.
Eddie Money called, He said he can do it with the engine running
Did you say Dr. O? Sounds like an adult film pseudonym lol. Hope all is good at the overchucker household😁
And so begins Eric's YouTube dominance. 😉 You've come a long way, almost to 500K.
I came for Eddie Money… lol
I'm going to watch this vid to your current vid. I wonder how long thatll take
I love you
First video and Eddie Money in the background.
Creeping the first video. The day it all began.
Careful on Subaru that tool likes to fly into the radiator
First video, awesome! I had to scroll a long time to find it. You've come a long way Eric. Keep up the great work! Bob.
Rest easy Eddie Money.
Did this stretch belt on my 2010 Subaru not 6 months ago. Should have known to check the SMAR channel first. Interesting seeing the first one Eric did. Good stuff even back then. Wish I'd had picked up one of those Napa tools instead of the janky stretch belt installer I rented from O'Reilly.
what a bad design!
Aaaahhh, the first videos. Shaky camera, a few camera person breaths, and low audio 😂. Now Eric’s big time 😂
Rather amazing idea for the public, a special stretchable belt and a special tool to put on a serpentine belt. Likely a high wear item too.
BRING BACK DOCTOR O
The modern day engineering. Make things tougher to do. Tensioner was one of the better ways of keeping the belt taught. So easy to remove & install a belt.
They say greatness starts from humble beginnings. So this is the SMA humble beginning. Lmao, Dr. O 😀 😀 😀
Trust me…. I'm a Doctor…. – LoL – I've loved all of your videos I've watched and this is no exception. Keep on with the good work!
I be wondering, was Vanessa your camerawoman back in the day Eric? Then the tripod came out and you shot off like a star? Love the videos and I think it was plug replacement video of yours was the first one I ever seen. And yes I know putting a comment on a old video, but it's so cool to see how he has evolved his approach to videos and how he just has relaxed and didn't seem as stiff and more free flowing over the years. Thank ya for the videos.
How it all started eh
Is Mrs. O the one filming?
did you just say "DOCTOR O?"
LAST on first!
OMG! Dr. O 🙂 You've gotta bring that silliness back, maybe wear some scrubs.
Finally got to watch the VERY FIRST DR. O/SMA video!!! Wow, it is so kewl to see Eric doing his thing so early in his Youtube career. Who would have thought at the time of making this video that Eric would be the superstar that he is today with such a huge fan base? Honestly, I love the older SMA videos. Something to be said about vintage footage!
Wow, the first video. What motivated you and Mrs. O. to start a YouTube channel?
Vintage Eric O. Gotta love Dr. O!!
Cool to see where it all started, I'm glad you decided to start making videos as this is as close as I'll get to going back to school for quite a while yet. Entertaining and informative, thanks Eric.
Oh, almost forgot! Great Video!
I never saw a tensioner less belt installed on a car.
