Are you selling your tool? If so can I buy one?
God help me… I need to mine too.
SWEET! I'm Impressed!
Will JB weld work?
awesome as always cool thinking on the tool.
I can’t find this on Amazon. Do you have a link?
😜
My favorite tools are usually home made. Lol good thinking.
I mean, I just spread the knuckle with a chisel and pull the ball joint out by reinserting the stud in the control arm and levering on that, but whatever I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Man, I should have spent yesterday watching videos and making a SBJP1.0, rather than spending hours beating on it. I eventually got it out by putting the castle nut back on through the arm, and using a pickle fork wedged against a bar taking up the rest of the space to the knuckle.
Amazing tool!!!!
If you see it on Snap On truck it will be $80.
Fantastic!
For the stuck bolt, I wonder if a Ramset would put enough force into it to break it loose, or if it would just explode the bolt.
Top marks really neat the simple ideas are often the best…
please make more Subaru vids!!!!!
Then ASTRO came along and made a 30 dollar tool
10 POUNDER is about 5 pounds more than a 5 pounder, I need to write that down so I never get that mixed up again , good stuff !!! TY for the puller tool tip, great idea!!
Four post lift optional. 😳
Wasn't Sly Dammer the keyboard player in the Specials?
Wow great vid. I love your channel.
If your selling these I'm interested
Where's the amzn link ??
Would be great to come up with something not needing a slide hammer for those with no car lift ! meaning me LOL
I just use a small chisel a big prybar and a hammer and pull the control arm down with the ball joint.
Great way and thanks for the tip for ppl who dont own a lift to cup it and extract it out keep up the great video and tech tips.
Cool beans ….
please put safety glasses on please
SBJP 1.0 – $19.95 -While Supplies Last!!!
Slide Hammer and Twin Post Lift Sold Separately
can't wait for SBJP 2.0
I used this general idea and you are a genius. EJ. To Eric O.
Hey Eric, Thanks for all the great videos! I've done a few Subie ball joints and found using a small chisel tapped in the gap on the ball joint yoke helps reduce the grip on the ball joint has in the yoke.

Don't you just impress the hell out of yourself sometimes!!
Seriously though Eric, as you were explaining some of the difficulties with Subaru's a "threaded rod coupling" popped into my head but I hadn't thought of using the slide hammer……KISS principal!
Coolness: 5/5
I looked away for a minute and thought I was listening to Beetlejuice

Mr. O "THE TOOLMAKER!" "EXCELLENT VIDEO ! !
FANTASTIC ! !
Eric, I made and used one of these about 2 weeks ago. It worked just like the video shows. Amazing!
Judging by what I can see in your videos, I think Illinois rust might be worse than New York rust, if you can believe that. I’ve heard tales of a place where cars aren’t rusty and one man can do a dozen or more alignments in a single day because nothing is frozen. I don’t know if it’s an urban legend but it sure makes for a nice dream. It’s right up there with the dream of working in an air conditioned shop. 😎
You make me laugh!
