Yes it’s true, I bought this car! I want to dissect the engine. I’ll trailer this heap to my personal shop and get the engine out. It’s going on a stand and I’ll pull it down as far as I can. I want to find the failure point, and see how bad the destruction really is. Since I’ll be out of the shop, everything that happens next with this car will be on my B channel,

If you missed the first/intro video of this totaled Toyota, check it out here. It’s bad, really bad! https://youtu.be/jgtPOXbYE8M
We pushed it into the shop to take an oil sample and I pulled the oil pan Check out what I found. This video is on my B channel. All future Trashed Toyota Videos will be found there. Check it out! https://youtu.be/O8Ipm9d_hcI

NOT suicide! It was murdered by its (previous) owner.
BtW – and this is not a knock against you, as you appear to be honest in your work – some people might be a bit wary of "Yeah, it's junk, the entire engine is trashed. So would you like to sell it to me?"
BtW, The Sequel – Kind of the opposite of this one… I once told a guy that I could get his (relatively) low-production, (NOT relatively) high horsepower Buick muscle car running again for less than $100. He said, "Man, I don't want to put any more money into this thing, I spent $3,000 on repairs, drove it home, and no one has been able to start the POS for a year. I just want to sell it and make it someone else's problem." I offered him a grand for it, had Pop dolly it to my house – and fixed it with a Bosch relay and piece of wire. . . .
Mmmmm, Milos.
I own one of these Camrys. Mine smells and looks a billion times cleaner lol. Easy DIY maint for the budget minded. The fact this car finally died after all that abuse and 1/8 of the oil is a testament to early 2000s Toyota engineers.
Ray, normally love your vids but quit this one after 1 minute of theatrics. Please cease and desist!
I bought a 1993 Pontiac Sunbird that was going to the junkyard. The driver side door wouldn't open and the rust was bad. A few months later sold it for double the money. With full disclosure of what was wrong with it.
Shop I worked at had an old Dodge Colt. Sat in the back lot and for $10.00 you could beat on it for one minute when you had a bad day.
You work on a lot of Toyota’s, Junk
REEEEEEEE Love your work fella especially as you work better with a camera in your other hand than i do with two hands lol,
Cant find the next part of the blown engine series???
I started watching your videos haphazardly a couple of weeks ago and I've enjoyed it so much i have since started watching everything from the beginning. Thank you for doing all these. It has been extremely entertaining. My wife enjoys them also.
Have you done anything with this car yet?
I think you just bought my uncle old car from Jacksonville Florida omg 😂😂😂😂😂😅
I used to work with a guy that put bug bombs in his car and the next morning all of the cockroaches had moved to the outside
Hey Ray, just finally seeing this video but I'm MLA licensed if you need any help interpreting the lab results
Bugs?! I had an 86 T-Bird that came in with a strange sound coming from under the drivers seat when the owner tried to power the seat forward. Everything checked out fine but couldn't nail down the sound. Decided to remove the seat for inspection and as I puled the seat out of the car and laid it on it's back on the bench a co-worker let out a yelp and I looked around to see a f#%king snake coiled comfortably around the inside of the frame. I called the owner and he came in not believing us AFTER a vet from across the street arrived and it turned out to be the owners neighbours missing pet!! A damn 5 foot long ball python… WTF? Now I'm leary about looking under any seats!!
You flipping it
First impression from the mini preview: You were buying feminine products for the wife. Second impression with introduction: You bought THAT? WTF? Third impression: All in the name of Science – that makes sense. Let's see how bad the carnage is…
This sounds like an interesting project, even though I'm a little puzzled as to why you selected this one. The good think about Florida weather is the way bed bugs will be killed by the heat of a car left out in the sun. Other insects, not so much, you need to get rid of the food source.
I really do not like to see anything destroyed if it can be re=used. A video series of the cheapest way to rebuild and resurrect that car would be a much better plan.
Too many people just love to destroy things these days.
Funny story, A buddy & i were working a shutdown at a nuclear plant & i was staying with him in his travel trailer. One day after work we came back to the trailer & found roaches from next door coming over to visit. So my friend buys some foggers. He starts setting them up & i asked "what r u doing" him: going the set them off & get rid of the roaches. Me: with us in here that will kill us. Him: but there Lemmon scented.
Not sure I'd want to park next to that.
Some people LS swap, some people restore and weld….
Some people genocide bugs in a Camry
Ray, when (not if) it's time to replace the head gasket on the replacement 2AZ-FE engine, I strongly recommend the Huhn Solutions NS300L thread repair kit. I just did this on my Scion tC (same motor), and it's bulletproof. Oh, and make sure to put the trigger wheel on the right way around (F is for Front). Common mistake.
Is there an update on this?
love all your content, regards from the UK also Subbed.
1000% I would have done the same thing, buy it, fumigate it, yank the motor, but I'd also clean it up a bit, tear down that engine, and if it's salvageable, get a gasket set and whatever bearings/rings it needs, slap it back together and run it. If not, weigh the options of a junkyard 90 day used engine, versus a $300-500 CL/FBM parts car either wrecked or with a good motor/bad transmission combination, or stripping it for parts to sell on eBay and scrap the empty shell. For a 15-20 year old Camry with 200K plus showing, it's not going to be much more than someone's A to B and the time/money investment would have to reflect that sort of asking price.
Bug grenade or perhaps a real grenade? Difficult choice.
LaCucaracha,lacucuracha aye yi yi🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪
Good stuff , I put on the closed captioning with mute to avoid the movie sound effects. It is "canned laughter" in sitcoms. I'll just watch.
You forgot to lock the doors. Some one is gonna steal your stuff.
I'm in CA.
That's a Toyota, you get way way more if you can flip this car, than you do parting it out.
Still Pandemic here. Used cars are ridiculously high. Upholsteries intact no broken windows looks like you have all the pieces.
"Faint Heart,
Never Won Fair Maiden."
As a new channel idea I would love if you bought back junkers like that for junkyard-equivalent prices and attempt to get them roadworthy again somehow. It's a risk I know but could be hella entertaining 🙂
Nuke it from orbit, it's the only way to be sure!
Toyota uses the head casing for cam bearings. You may end up buying a head.
Good thing it has a bra on it to keep it looking new.
I've seen a VW bug but never Toyota bugs.
On a 2006 Nissan Altima will the fuel pump cause the gas gauge to register wrong sometimes
I couldn't help but take a shower after this video. and the first two.
OMG how anticlimatic man… I wanted to see the windows all "Chonged Up" lold
NO! do not clean it, call up elon so he can send it to the moon
This cat's a good technician or as we call him in my day a heck of a mechanic I wish you were around when I was young I had to learn all that stuff on my own now I'm an old man I can't even work on my own car cuz it's got so many sensors and you got to have all these different tools and hell when I was doing all this messing around hot rod and stuff when I was young all you needed was some screwdrivers and regular set of wrenches and a set of sockets and you can take a bad thing apart on you want it man I do appreciate your channel though I love watching somebody that gets it done and you absolutely get it done have a blessed life
I was hoping he was going to have the interior restored, replace the engine, and sell it used.
Voted BEST for Car Repair Graphics and Production!! 👍👍
"I never want to see this car again!"
Next time on…
I don’t understand how cars get to this point. They’re either lazy or hygienically disgusting
My boyfriend loves your content.. and he is loving this series.. he was hoping to find out when the next episode of this series would be coming out.. as he is really keen to see what's coming up next! 😊
Pisses me off to see such a reliable car ran into the ground.
Ray, lemme get a glass of Milos
"There be dragons" At the edge of the map, and possibly in that Toyota….
Ya, need a follow-up on this. & next time don't take us to the store, we are car guys 😛
