A little trouble with that pipe out of the back. Had to trim about an inch off it because the rear hanger is routed I think I probably already told you that and uh I guess that's it. Oh, and she wanted her tire pressure light fix which we did I forgot about that was up in the air so Ding Dong? move on my part. it's done. You should REALLY invest in a plasma cutter. They are relatively cheap; It's basically a welding tip that you hook an air compressor to, which will blow away the metal as you run the arc; (I'm sure you've heard of it. lol). That way you won't have to burn so much gas all the time, and use the plasma cutter when you zapping bolts off, etc.
No more silent movies. 😉

have you ever had a cat so clogged that the car won't start? neighbor has an older altama 2003 asked me to take a look after his mechanic gave up on it. checked the spark (old plug in the coil to ground sparking on cranking) seemed ok… no start.. shot it with starting fluid.. no start.. I am thinking either no compression or the cat is clogged completely .. any idea? Timing chain should be ok i can see the cam moving through the oil fill hole and its getting spark and starting fluid… I don't have a compression tester to test it and didn't pull the plugs. because hes afraid they're going to strip and snap in the head… whatever probably not but.. I walked away from it since he had other things to do but it has me wondering.

being from pa side of hancock ny not far from ya i aprecriate the rust belt and the term rotted. It truly hits home watching you work on stuff with added parts or being fair like hey this part is bad but gotta replace the other three things to get to it cause its rotted and i cant get it seperated. i follow you an rainman ray and what a joy it is watching true work in real time being done. with the while we are here lets do this this an this. not an over sell. but shows how much easier that single job can be when you trying to pry around salt infested parts. and the family is huge. keep it up i will schedule and travel to see you

Eric, here in RI we get some pretty crazy rust too. I hit all customers' exhaust with high temperature paint before I hang them. You know how long a NAPA exhaust lasts! Gives you a few more years before you have to replace it again 🙂
