Just found this one and enjoyed it. Got to say, I really appreciate someone who's as ana; retentive as I am about checking to make sure everything is working as per instructions. Good work Ray. Thanks.
I have the same exact camper – Keystone/Outback 26RS. Mine's been sitting for 7 years in the same spot, and it's way dirtier than yours.. I wonder what adventures await me when I do eventually move it! At least there probably won't be a stint on the interstate involved. I will likely need new tires, at least.
Southbound on I-75 in FLA a few years back, we passed by what appeared to be a brand new 25' center console boat with two huge outboards and bimini top just sitting on the grass in the median strip. No trailer. No tow vehicle. No people.
No. For starters, I would never go to highway speed without the added safety of a weight distributing hitch. WDH. Scariest thing is moving at all with under 30 psi on a rig that should probably be on at least load range D and 65psi to be safe. Love your auto mechanics, but your RVing skills need some grooming. Yike need I suggest YouTube for learning. Good luck. Tom.
According to that fuel gauge you're very over filled in the tank or severely empty. LOL Wow. 14 hours of binging on your vireos. Time to go to bed. Take care, stay safe and keep the videos coming. I need more for tomorrow.
So, on the chain you did it right, they need to be crossed as a security feature. If the hitch fails (which happens if you didn't hook it up right, or your buddy had a few drinks too many and screwed up) the chain will catch it from being a roll away hazard, and gives you an opportunity to fix the issue before it kills someone.
If that hasn't move in yrs , i be checking tires. Someone gave me one that sat over five yrs I decline it. Tried rushing me to take it. Red flag raise my thoughts.
OMG you did not say "open Ze hoood", No No No in Russian accent!!? So then when you're Duramax fired up… Sounded exactly like my 7.3 ?!!!? you are cursed forever my young soul !! "It Will Live" I Hope LOL.
The very first thing you look at before towing a camper trailer that's been sitting out in the open for 2 years is the condition of the tires for dry rot and proper inflation because of exposure to weather. The fact that trailer wasn't on blocks to keep the tires from flat spotting is also problematic as well…..
Dot here in Canada we can't have the break away cable attached to the hitch it has to be to the truck. And yes always cross chains for control of a detached trailer and never let chains drag. Always twist to shorten if necessary. Trailer tires are not like auto tires heavy duty or thicker.

Very impressive parking too.
I love how customers bring me tires like this and ask if they can be repaired because they're only a couple years old.
Gotta get a battery inflator that goes with your tool brands. Set the pressure and walk away while getting loaded

I would deffo change those tires… brave man for driving a couple of 100 miles on them.
I'm surprised you don't carry a guage and DC tire inflator with you.
Good thing your a mechanic, I hope it doesn't have rotted tires, and the grease in the axles is alright. having a tire blow on the freeway is bad.
Thanks for sharing 😎💯
