In a previous video https://youtu.be/FCy-YcZ2Xs4 we had a look at a rusty crusty Dodge Charger and tried to determine if we could replace the axles in this car with out to many challenges in the way. Well, the best way to see what's gonna happen is to get started. -Enjoy!

Always try to help the customer out. Sometimes it works out sometimes not so much. Nice job !!!
Don't you guys have Delta Sonics down there?
That lower ball joint will fail and crash her car.
I admire your tenacity. As regards all the people that you mentioned about charging double et cetera itโs because you have a decent human being and not a cowboy as we would say in the UK that you are just a good man. By the way looking at the general state of that car I donโt think it would pass what we call in the UK and MOT in other words it would be scrap because of the rot! Great videos and please Iโve you with your great videos ๐๐๐
I'm glad to be in the south I do get a truck from time to time from new York or Maine and the rust is a beast but to live there and handle the rust everyday more power to you I hope your pay rate compensates for the rust factor
Rust never sleeps. If my new challenger ever gets to looking like that Iโll shoot myself.
Youโve definitely have seen worse cars this is nothing compared to others
So many youtube commenters seem to have an endless supply of money.
Can I reuse dust caps cv axle nut and such??
You might have had the Vice grips on backwards. They werenโt grabbing very good.
I'm not sure how some people sleep at night in your case that certainly is not a problem because of your willingness to help and try to do right by people. God this world needs more people like you…
I admire your honesty as to how you handled this situation. People who tell you to gouge her are the reason people are so afraid of dishonest mechanical shops. Would i work on it? No. Clearly being the chicken that I am, I would run in the other direction. You are my hero for tackling it for this lady. Nice job.
The haters would have put this minimum wage hambuger flipper mom with 3 kids out on the street living in her dead care n a tent with no way to get to her job.
Jesus wasnt a poor shepard, he was a GD multimillion $$$$ TV minister fleecing his flock
Eric makin rust belt work look ez
So why arenโt the speed sensors like in the transmission, where it is nice and dry and lubed? Instead of in the worst possible location.
needle nose vise grip may work on sway bar
The salt with keep you have a job lifetime.
Have a lot of faith in you. Never mind what other people say. Just wish you were closer. You would have all my business
You done a good job God bless form Somerset ky
You know, this car isn't as bad as some I have seen you do. Didn't really have to use to much of big nasty
Rust never sleeps
Dodge: "Let's sell cars in New York" engineers: "but they're not designed for that environment!" Dodge: "exactly!"
Nice job
Over engineering pos
Man if we had that much rust here in NZ it wouldnt be allowed on the road, we have our annual inspections fail if our windscreen washer bottle is empty- that true!
You should try an inductive heater (mini-ductor) for situations like this, safer and less destructive than a torch. (No affiliation)
Oh we do love the flame.
the shop would grind to a halt if you ran out of oxygen or acetylene!!
If this was my car, I would feel obliged to replace everything on the suspension and underbody, and then smother everything in some heavy-sh*t grease. But it's not mine, so great job in saving this lady some money. Just expect it back with the other side the same way in 6 months, and the exhaust falls off.
And you wonder why mechanics are so busy
8.37, God bless you
Road test, The Snap on guy is here. Been there, done that
You are a good man Mr. O!
Rust assured….
Mother nature collects back it's own. Eric O with that air hammer sure looks like he is mining that ore!
I cant believe you got those axle nuts off without the "liquid wrench".
I'm surprised you didn't just show her how rough and corroded the underside was. Then maybe she would have declined all the work and just got a new car lol…..
You forgot to splease the gleans! Greasy Spleen! It's Guden practice!
I wish everyone was like you.
What if the Snap On guy sees all the Harbor Freight tools?
No hate here. I respect a mechanic who will do what was asked rather than refuse to try to force more work. Thanks
Question purely out of curiosity. When you are putting the suspension nuts/bolts and the CV shaft back together you didnโt use anti seize on the threads or splines. Is there a reason you donโt? I live on the west coast and particularly with suspension parts I always assemble with anti seize knowing that I may be the next guy taking it apart. Just wondering if there is a particular reason you donโt or if itโs just personal preference. Love your channel. I enjoy seeing some of the creative ways you have to get things done working on east coast rust factories.
Ooooo part two. Let me grab the pop corn!
Your a good man!
your going to be bless for helping her out good man
