Great catch Eric!!
A few minutes can save a few hours, and some embarrassment, good call to double check Eric as always
I wondered why those gaskets looked new. Must have had to swap parts when they put in the used engine.
Wow never seen that befor good idea going the distance with a second look
This stuff right here…this stuff right here, is why u have the following u do. Its because u put the time and effort into ur work. We notice. We appreciate.
Reading your comments is just as entertaining as Eric O.
Thanks guys!
jb water weld
You wouldn't you would of clocked it when you removed it.
Neutral Drop sent me
What caused the crack?
I remember old school aluminum intake manifolds that would develop a leak through the casting if they were cleaned with strong carb cleaner as the aluminum was porous and the carb cleaner would dissolve the factory sealer coating, not necessarily referring to a broken intake but have you heard of an aftermarket sealer that actually works and holds up to the heat?
Had to add this comment to move past 666…lookin out for you Eric!! ๐
Well, that's a great reminder to take the time! Thanks for the reminder man!
Cracked intake, crazy!
A stupid question is a lot easier to handle than a stupid mistake!
Good catch man
Wow! that was a great catch. No matter how loyal that customer is to you, they would have always had a deep down sneaky suspicion that you broke the manifold. Well done!
Yup ๐
Thanks for the heads-up ๐คช
Too much VTEC torque yo
No negativity here I enjoy watching your videos
Nice find on the cracked intake manifold Eric O @SouthMainAutoRepairLLC
Nice work As Always Eric O @SouthMainAutoRepairLLC
Maybe those intakes are two piece for a reason? Who would have thought aluminum could crack like that?!
That soapy solution stuff you mentioned works great. Bought it a while ago after you showed it here. So much better than just dish soap.
I noticed a New York registration and inspection on one of your videos on a vehicle, where in New York are you?
Wow, I'm pretty sure I've never seen a crack in the manifold like that. How in the %$#&(
Dr. Eric ๐
Wow, that NY weather turns cars into rust buckets pretty quickly. My truck is 33-years-old and doesn't have a spec of rust on it. California weather is easy on cars (as long as you're not close to the ocean.)
But I can't do a quarter of what you can!
Good catch on that one!
strange cracking, I wonder if it was burning hot and someone hosed it down with cold water or similar. if not was it the original engine? maybe after effects of a wreck?
Great catch!!!
I look how u go the extra mile
Wow! good job
Nice catch Eric…Nice catch!!
And worst part if you quoted and sold the gasket and found the crack while performed the repair it's you who broke the intake
This is why you are so damn good!!!!! keep up the good work Eric O
It a flat rate dominated industry where time is money, taking time to reaffirm is rare@!
Check, check, and triple check. Save time, and make the money with the customer satisfaction. Means a full belly at the end of every day.
Do you ever get any classic cars in there for repairs? What happened to the old Dodge that was there in a video in the past?
Nice job, even you double check your work, and you're a real pro
Another job done very well ๐ awesome mechanic. Never disappoints
Epoxy repair.
its a big man that admits his errors….eric i brilliant ,as straight as the day is long…
Good thing that intake gasket looked new too, like it was done in a recent repair, soapy mix always the best. Great catch.
Just finished my motorcycle tour of New York. Iโm sure Erik appreciated me not stopping by
South Main! What ever happen to that amazing part where you show a brake cleaner and play that song, I enjoyed that
Very true, and thanks for the video๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐โ๐
