So that's what the "WB" setting means on the gun
Be careful how you align the grease fitting, it could end up behind the steering stop and you won't get the grease gun to connect, like mine. I would just align them to the front and not worry about the boot orientation.

I’m a retired Jeep tech. Next time you try to remove lower joint, just use you air chisel with round blunt tip about the size of your little finger. I just flip the stud over to one side and hammer on it. I never used a joint press. I still have the cup I used to press it back in with. Used short blunt tip to buzz it back in with. Jeep had a recall on these. I could do them in my sleep. 😁
What cup size is used to remove the Moog brand ball joint. None of the one I have fits over. I had no problem removing the OEM but the Moog head is much bigger. Also what is the torque for the CV shaft nut? Thanks

Thank you, thank you. Was able to do myself once proper tools were gathered. My comments: Things wear out if not serviced or worst yet, not serviceable. I am 2nd owner of 05 Limited with 132k. There was a recall for lower ball joints in 07. After giving the vin to 2 different local dealerships, they said recall was shown to have been performed June 11 2017, however I was not told where. Yes I asked, "My computer does not say". Nice answer. Computer speaker maybe turned off. Neither of my "recalled" ball joints had a grease nipple in them. Yes, after cleaning them there are exposed threads on the TOP. BOTH SIDES NO grease nipple. Open. No wonder the computer can't say what dealership service employee idiot replaced them. Entire service department not knowing or caring. OK, not all of you guys. Not much money coming in from vehicle owners for recall work. Some service departments just have no conscience. Now have replaced both sides with MOOG units with accessible grease fittings as shown in this video. Will be replacing more front non-serviceable and rear suspension parts soon. I started at my family corp building. Our mechanic refused to replace my truck shocks! He said "ehh, you'll just have a little more rough ride, that's all." I could see the damn stud broken off! I said fuck it, I'll do it myself! Then I got sick of waiting for the forklift mechanic (although now he's one of my best friends) and sick of seeing those multi thousand dollar bills. I said fuck it, I'm doing it myself! Then our vertical baler was down for a year. 3 techs couldn't figure it out. You know what I said? Fuck it, I'm doing it myself! Then, the tires on my jeep were bad, my pops truck, company truck..I think you know where I'm going with this lol. Needless to say, it's all done by me now.

when I worked at Jeep and we had to replace these under the recall, we got it down to about 20 minutes. I always used air hammer with small tip to get the old ball joint out rather then the ball joint remover, so much easier and faster.

I liked the video. I didn’t even have to fast forward, due to annoying yapping like other videos. I have my upper arm and upper and lower balls, and inner and outer tie rods to do. Got a kit to do both sides, only got the drivers done…3yrs ago, had to refresh my memory. You can do a video for that stuff. I’ll even let you use my jeep 😁.

diggin the video. Im getting ready to redo all the front in my 2004 liberty, replacing the tie rod end, inner and outers, replacing the upper control arms, sway bar links and these lowers .. I already done the rear control arms, and it was not fun. so whiling doing the front i'm also going to replace the rotors and brakes on front and rear .. then after that, i been tryng to find some GOod information on taking a 2005 liberty motor and trans planting it in my 04 limited body. but so i have not found anything. on if i will need to change anything in motor to get it to work .. love to see you do a video on motor swapping on what will work in the way of years ..
