I did mine and now it won't turn off when I try to turn it off
That’s the greatest car problem ever!!
I just had a shop swap out a 4.2 in a 06' Trailblazer that acquired a rod knock with a tested good 06 4.2 donor motor. I vehicle ran before the swap. Now the car is no start/ no crank/ no fuel pump after they swamp. The shop has given up on trying to figure it out. I know it could be many things but any suggestions to check for? Thanks, great vids

No crank no start. But if I jump the starter it turns over but still no start

Wow my envoy just died in front of my local 7-11& while waiting fora ride I clicked on your video after fucking around under the hood and trying to start it repeatedly without success i judo chopped the steering column like you did and, I still don’t believe it, the fucker started. Ty dude you saved my ass and I’m a fucking mechanic too! lol
So was having problems with mine not starting and so we checked starter and battery and then my husband did the judo chop and she started right up lol thanks for the help
Same problem with my 2002. Problem also came with all the idiot lights on the dash coming on and no gas gage. Year later I have the same problem.

My vehicle would not start my mechanic took off the battery part and let it sit for 15 minutes and put it back on and it started up right away

Hah! I was "tricked" I got mine to start, once, by tapping the started relay, so I replaced that and thought I fixed it….damn it, it was just "lucky" timing. off to get an ignition switch! I expect this just saved me an expensive mechanic trip, we'll see

I had a 2004 and had the same problem. The dealer couldn't find the solution so I traded it in for a Tahoe. Best car/truck I ever had.

Didn't try that judo chop! I changed the ignition switch and now everything works but no start. I can jump the starter and it will spin! No start.

I have an 05 Trailblazer with the 5.3 v8 with the good ol' no crank, no start, not even a chime sound… Dash lights come up, looks like this, but of course the ignition switch doesn't seem to be the culprit. Trying to figure out what's going on. It started most of the time a few weeks ago and now it won't start at all. Battery is new, starter is new, sometimes get a weird sound from under the dash.

I find jiggling the ignition key works too. I'll have to try the karate chop next time my ignition key acts up. LOL.
BroMy car was just stranded in the middle of Rogers Arkansas I saw your video after attempting to fix the problem for 2 1/2 hours I karate chop my ignition and it turned on! You are the master.
Because a vibration through the steering wheel works, you have a loose connection in the wheel.
No start in park, try neutral.
On the gm 6 litre, in the fed ex/ups trucks, we use volts, its suppose to around under .2 volts or above 1 volt if its in the middle at all, sensor is bad
fyi when my last ignition switch was failing (04 express) only high speed on the front heater fan and abs and brake light on- no other problems.
not that its a long term fix but pretty easy to pop the cover off that ignition switch and clean the contacts in there with a little fine sandpaper.
Thanks fixed my problem today. Checked and battery was fully charged. Then when I went to start, acted like battery was dead.
