In this video I run you through the process I use at the shop when a customer wants me to do a stem to stern service and general check over. I have been finding that a lot of folks are taking the time to have their older vehicles gone through and maintenance items done instead of trading them in on new ones. -Enjoy!

Fo Mo Co is the problem with Mazda, if not careful you can get a re-badged Ford instead of Japanese quality.

Am I wrong in thinking that the Mazda should have a timing belt change at 100K?

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Allan Rodolfo says:

My Mazda also does that whining sound. Is all that is needed is power steering fluid? Or is there an issue with the serpentine belt?

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars matt standage says:

The service costs more than the car is worth

I am looking at a 2015 Mazda 6 with 140,000 miles on it, do you recommend that car? Is it reliable?

  27. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jerry Zucchero says:

You should have a copywrite attached to the sound you hear when you show a can of Brakleen.

  29. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Bandrosonk says:

Bought a 2013 back in April and I just hit 101k so its time to do most of this. Not sure if I can do the powersteering but everything else I should be able to do. (Car had a complete brake job before I bought it so the fluid is fine.)

  30. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Dave LaFaille says:

Did you check the gap, on those plugs?? Even New can be off.🤔👍

  31. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars John Papp says:

Hey South Main, quick question for you. I have a 2009 Mazda 6 2.5, I asked a shop to flush my transmission and they would not do it. Said that it needs a special tool, and that the system might be pressurized and they didn't want to cause problems. How do you feel about this? Thank you!

  33. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Scott Jackson says:

The glove box? Why is there a filter in there?

  34. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Anime Red says:

Fuel injector deep cleanings. How often should this get done or is this a run bottle of cleaner every 10-20,000 miles till you run into an issue with them?

  35. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Highboy Mountain Grow says:

    The classic feel through 😂😂👌

  36. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Brad Hall says:

Bought an astro pneumatic light after watching your video. Now I want that battery tester. Where can I get one?

  37. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Buddy Dennis says:

Eric, I enjoy watching your videos. Just a question, if I may. I have a 2005 Toyota Tundra SR5 Access Cab, Step Side with just over 188,000 miles. I'm going to need to do the 200,000 mile service. What types of things should they be trying to "sell" me as far as service? I'm thinking serpentine belt, for sure. The timing belt was changed back at 107,000 miles. Tires are less than 2 years old.

  38. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Dave Drew says:

Why do you never clean the battery terminals and the connections with (Holts
No Corrode) and the terminals at the chassis. Windscreen wiper motor.

  41. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars paul ellis says:

would not find another mechanic do this kind of service

  42. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars whirl tech says:

One cabin filter tip is cut the front panel off the new filter box (or other cardboard) and slide it under the existing filter before removing from housing. Catches anything that falls off the filter & keeps it out of the blower.
Don't know why they started putting these things behind the glove box. Under the front cowl made more sense.

  43. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Davey T says:

    Uh, O Mrs O!

  44. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Van DuBose says:

“Sleepy Joe” and “it’s all rigged anyway… so true. The best service I’ve ever seen. Didn’t think anybody knew how to perform a service job any more till now.
