Hey just in case you weren't aware, that's a ground problem or a bad connector.
Eric, OEM APPS's are a POS. Need to go after market like a Timbo APPS which is commercial grade (i.e. total opposite of Dorman). Also, the APPS needs to be trained when installed:
1. disconnect & reconnect battery
2. turn key on without starting
3. slowly push the pedal to full throttle and return
This teaches the computer the throw of the pedal, idle and full throttle voltages
This assumes however that everything else is working properly.
Typical Dodge truck – you can recognize them by the rust around the wheel-wells. My Dodge truck is the only truck owned that had rusted out wheel-wells, a rusted out driveshaft, and a rusted out oil pan.

Seen that so often its not funny the sad part is that It was a dealership owner that would just fix the tail n turn lights when there were issues far more important that needed addressing so I know how it sometimes can be. Then and again the same guy would bring in a money pit and want it repaired and road worthy with no limit to makeing it right.

Great info on diagnosis. You always do great diagnosis. On this I agree with customer, fix the truck. I believe customer felt confident you are the real deal. Honest and specific about what problems were. You didn't waffle on what needed to be fixed. Confident mechanic equales confident customer.

It's a Chrysler product probably the lowest quality maker of American cars. You'll always have business from Chrysler products. You could have also put a small bead of Permantex Black Silicone on that socket instead of the zip tie to hold it in place.

For the price of those couple tie rods on the old inverted y, you can upgrade it to the newer T style steering.. Replace the track bar bushings as well..
Sounds like my 3 series, for a while I had a car trophy (see dealer), brake service message, brake error light, coolant message, oil level message, seatbelt error light, an SRS warning light, and if I push it I can get an engine service message.

obs. last month I changed the master kit, changed the solenoids, governor sensor, changed the oil etc … all the American Mopar components, and even then the problem persists.

When I went to try and latch the tailgate on my buddy's 07 Ram 1500 both rods had broken off the retainers and it was almost like trying to use chopsticks.

Those are the best kind of customer, people who know what a dollar is worth and don't just throw it away on a new vehicle every time their old one needs fixed.
FWIW, these trucks still have the same failures when they are equipped to mall cruiser status like they usually are around here in the PNW (huge/useless lift, huge/useless tires). Even without the rust, the front end still falls out. Or even when they are stock really. I used to work for the state motor pool and they had a bunch of 2500s (with the Hemi) and they would all have the same issues, especially the front axle u-joints seizing up and making the steering bind.

Oh, brings back memories when I worked in a car dealership quoting for prices, and they always were like "how do you justify this"? Really? How do you let it get this bad instead — that is the bigger question.

I work for a Subaru dealer, and even with the factory scan tool, we have glitches. Ex. can't clear engine codes on 2015 and up WRX with the SSM4, we need to use the SSM3 for that

I am a heavy equipment tech and a coworker is working an aerial boom that requires annual inspection. He has spent probably 12 – 14 hours on it just finding problems and trying to diagnose them to give the customer a quote. so far he is at like 40 + hours for repair.

That model year for Cummins (04-06) were the high output pre-emission 5.9l (I have one). You can't get them anymore. The farmer probably knows this, as well as the bazillion dollars that the new truck cost. Having you toss $3,000 worth of parts in it with ca. 140,000 miles in it is really nothing compared with his alternatives (if he wishes to stay in a diesel).
