Did you get that connector at the junk yard?I tried to get a spade connector from Mopar($1.00 part) but they only would sell the harness for 1100.00 dollars.Juryrigged it back together.

If it takes that long to get to the sensor, is it good practice to replace it with an oem one anyway due to the fact it takes six hours to get to? Along with new connector of course …
I have a 2007 xl7 i changed the crank sensor, but is keep shutting off after 10 min and also show stability control off and engine power reduction

uScope looks super handy and certainly affordable. So, yes on the uScope and pass on the Suzuki.
I know this is an older video but I'm curious if you replaced the CKP sensor while you had it all apart? If I were the customer I'd have requested it so I didn't have to pay labor again in a couple years when that thing goes belly up.

On the '01 Suzuki Esteem with the 1.8 J18a engine, you have to pull the transmission and flywheel to access the crank sensor. Crazy engineering

I have the same car code is P008 mechanical timing, P0017 crank and camshaft position sensor for bank 1 exhaust. Camshaft don't correlate. P0016 similar to P0017. P0045 ECU Detected, abnormal reading. Is this going to be a big job like the one you have here?

My 2003 XL7 has the 2.7 engine, it ran fine until it overheated and blew a head gasket. I replaced both head gaskets and installed the cams according to another Youtube video, but the factory timing chains don't have as many colored links, so I had to remember 4-stroke engine theory and adjust cam-timing to piston-position accordingly. In removing crank and cam sensors, something went wrong, because while I have power to the sensors, and ground, they don't tell the computer to fire the coil-packs at all.

To be honest I worked for Suzuki for 6 years. Reason to run I Don't see one since it's all gm power plant 3.6. to us it was a money maker. Used a tech 2 all the time with a Suzuki card of course. Anyway the only Suzuki thing in this car is the badge. So do that run basically it's a Cadillac engine lol
What all did u have to remove in order to change the sensor I have this same problem and I’ve been trying to locate the sensors for days

Another case of a very old disease called PPE. Symptoms of PPE include not having to work on that which you design, placing critical parts in areas where you have to take the entire assembly apart, no consideration of environmental conditions, and BDHO. Very little can be done until the person with PPE is forced to work on that which they designed. PPE – Piss Poor Engineering BDHO – Brain Death Has Occurred

Real Suzukis were pretty good. Yes, the crankshaft sensor is hard to get at, but it pretty much never fails. Suzuki's problem in the US was that it was a captive import via GM at first. Minimal independent dealer network. Oops. The GM implosion killed them. The SUVs that made them $$$ were made at a GM plant in Canada. That went away when GM imploded. They were left with a bunch of rebranded Daewoo junk and a few imported from Japan SUVs that were nice but expensive. The Equator pick up was great (A Nissan Frontier with a different front clip and some trim and packaging changes) I bought two of those when Suzuki bailed on the US market. Great deals and no problems with either truck. Too small of a footprint in the US market to deal with the DOT and EPA certifications on their own. Not to mention that our market is more F-150, Tahoe, Suburban, etc. these days.

Sir, I have a 2005 Nissan Sentra 1.8L engine. It is my daily driving car Parked it one night and in the morning it just crank no start. I thought it was the crank sensor. i put a new one in it from a local auto part store and that didn't fix the problem. I decided to check everything in it. Fuel pump works. Fuel injectors have pulse and they spray very good. Throttle opens if presses on the fuel pedal while cranking. Ignition coil has three wires 12v and ground and signal wire. After checking I found that there is no voltage at the signal wire or no spark condition. Ignition fuse is good and I swapped the relay with other one same part number but no difference. The car has no check engine light. Sir, any advice for me please?
