In this video we finish up the rear brake job we started on this Express van but I think most of the time is spent harassing Mrs.O. Needless to say the brake job turning out good and the new tires ride nice and smooth! -Enjoy!

The tube bubble stuff is a blast from the past ! Pretty sure it was made out of asbestos haha
Mrs. O needs to drag back the torch to her office just to troll Mr. O.
Go Mrs. O!!!
You make me laugh!!! Super job!!!
You mentioned the bubble stuff I'm actually old enough to remember that and I think you have a wonderful family and I'm amazed at your professionalism
What rotors did you use ?
Great video and great couple. So many jump ship but you can tell you two still love each other all these years later. You got a great catch Mr O. Oh yeah, loved the video too.
Rated R – Chevy Truck & Van: Rear Pads, Rotors, Backing Plates, Axle Seals, & Parking Brake Cables: Park II
I think the customer have to replace the rear shock too . It looks bad on the right rear shock
Gotta Mine For the Parking brake Cables did you Find any Dinosaur Bones during your Expedition Eric O @SouthMainAutoRepairLLC
At Walnut Ridge, AR airport used to be an Army Airfield during WWII well my dad used to watch all these airplanes come in with holes from the war fly in some on 3 engines some having to belly land because the gear would not go down. The workers used to take everything off of the airplanes tip them on their nose to be ready for the chopper and then the smelter. All those instruments (gages, switches, toggle switch) where put in 45gal drums submerged in cosmoline and buried. You can go out there today and dig them up and they will work perfectly because of the cosmoline.
Old video but I see you use torque sticks for lug nuts tightness.
First that is not a "full" synthetic it's probably only 25% synthetic with dino oil.
OMG it needs washing or just the customer should spray the dam thing down sheesh
Bloonies-Plastic-Balloons
The hat he wears keeps all of that dirt on the wheel well from dropping into the hair. I really hate all that stuff getting in my eyes and hair while on jacks on the ground.
It strikes me that these vehicles need to have a good jet wash before you work on them.
Man alive, you need to install an under carriage wash at your door
Now kids got silly string….and still have water balloons..yeeehawwwww…and super soakers.
I do like what you do… I've done brakes before myself so I know exactly what you're doing however I don't understand why you would replace the rear diff cover unless it's got a crack or a leak there should be no reason to replace it
Archeologist, yes, but you need a vacuum cleaner to clean that puppy up for the brake cable work.
I found out for myself, years back, it's easiest to pressure wash jobs like that beforehand, and work clean, like a gentleman. It saves having to clean up more mess on the shop floor after the job is done.
Good job, as always Rick, a treat to see you work…….
I love this episode, one of you're best bro.
If it's any help to new starts, if you're unsure of what you're doing with brake shoes, do one side at a time keeping the other as a reference till you're happy with the job. The brake shoes on this vehicle are fairly straight forwards as they're only for the handbrake. But more often than not there are springs, clips and tricky self adjuster mechanisms and after removing them it can be hard to figure where they go. This is strictly for brakes and not for wives! Under no circumstances have a second wife to practise your technique on! 😳
The whole underbelly looks like something outta the Titanic…
I love how you and the wife are always messing with each other.
Hi
Watched a second time w my wife. She saved you about $300 on a stand-up desk!
Live ur show I work on cars everyday to make it look like a wiz lol
Nothing better in Gibson house whole after a long day of work… watching Mr and Mrs O and eating my dinnet
I'm going to steal that line.. "you have the patience of a squirrel" 😃
Today is our 35th wedding anniversary, I'll try it on my spouse and see if I make it to 36.
Kiss her bro come on hahah
Happy wife happy life!!
Best smell ever…Trichloroethylene. It was the main chemical in tapping fluids, might still be. And back in the 70s-90s, Chicago Pneumatic would grease their tools with Mobile EP grease that smelled like it had been perfumed. And cosmoline, wow, once you have spent an afternoon with various attempts to remove that stuff, you understand why the product underneath is still in new condition.
Sweet! There's a tool for that…I've been using an air hammer to get the cable to cable holder thing apart…
Skid marks or bacon strips?
That van is disgusting. Don't people know there is a thing called a carwash. They even have the ones where you drive into and wash it yourself. It even has high pressure wash to most of that crap off the underneath of the van.
Fluid film smells like 🐖 🐷 shit.
Amazing video as always, but is it just me that doesn't like balancing new tyres with the sticker on? I know it's silly but it really bugs me!
Wood chisels make good scrapers.
Thoroughly enjoyable.
Mrs O is high maintenance Eric had to spend $30. on a monitor bracket that she installed.
So I have a complete stupid viewer question.
Why not obviously you couldn't do it in the winter time but why not hit these powder coated crusted vehicles with a pressure washer in the areas that you're going to be working before starting work Even a day before you know or a few hours before so it would drip drive certain degree.
Just wondering.
Hey somebody's got to ask the stupid question.
Nice vid Thanks…oh by the way the rear pads are different….you can see it in the vid…pins rivets are different so as to not hit stuff…
Exelente trabajo. Good job
What is the name of the tool that you used to compressed the spring on the emergency brake cable? I need that tool.
what new bolts ,not three sizes
your a lucky man great family your daughter is so specials
I remember the little tube of goo that had the straw that would blow up into a balloon…remember that smell for sure. The balloon would get hard, but pop easily
Take a couple of lite globe spring clips and mount them to a harbor freight 5k lumen 4 foot tube light which comes plug n play. Lighting issues done
You need a hat brim mount for a gopro type camera, and a head light mount.
