bro i got a 2005 police vic. got codes 351-358. died suddenly on the freeway. cranks, no start. all fuses good. swapped all relays, nothing. fuel cutoff in trunk, nothing. did heavy super start in the intake, no fireup of anything. ideas bro? would rather buy a part then have to call a mobile mech.
Any thoughts on a 2003 Lincoln town car, when I put my car into gear it stalls out. I replaced the throttle position sensor and still doing it. Could my crank shaft position sensor be bad? I can hear a weird noise up front before the car stalls too at times.
My same cop crown Vic sat over winter now I’m having same problem u had same c& no communication w/ scanner (not as good as yours) my under dash(24) fuse had power but battery junction none,now my dam journey begins 🤦🏽♂️

I got a 06 crown victoria it has a buzzing noise that comes from under dash up near back of radio it does it when car isn't running if you start it it does it for a minute or two then stops and want do it again for a couple of days can blend door or havac buzz

I have the same problem and it's been in the shop for 3 weeks and they still don't no.
i want to tell someone this a backhoe came in the shop for service etc . oh and we have to replace the battery every other day to start it a diesel once a diesel starts it runs ..ok i will check it .
..not charging ok alternator bad? belt bad? or broken wire. the charging bulb was bad . my dad worked at a nursing home telephone lines run from end to end 500 plus rooms in his tool box was a ring out tool power up the wire on one end go a mile down the road find the same wire. i used that tool to fix a not charging tractor cause the bulb was bad . 5 hrs taking the side panels off etc. 50 cent bulb.

Dr. O, ol' Eric is a professor now. 😁 I don't know who this customer is or what he does, but it appears he got an A+ on his final exam since he Stumped the Professor. Honestly, I think the owner had pulled the fuse to keep somebody from stealing it, and probably had forgotten that he had done that.
Now, I'd question why was the fuse pulled, is there a short some where?
I watched 2 random videos of yours videos today, the Hyundai and the Ford crown Vic with missing fuses. What are the chances? Lol. Then the customer says you’re charging me x amount of dollars for a fuse? Look at the work you had to put in. Crazy.

i had the same issue with turn signals. was doing stuff and i lost turn signals, tracing wires and found out i didnt put the fuse back in to supply power to the turn signal relay

Dude! Have to say I enjoy your videos. And this was brilliant.
Considering that it was an ex-police car and as you said they probably just ripped all their gear out, it wasn't too weird to find a fuse on the floor.
I worked for 30 years on mission critical military systems, and now, having retired I want to play with car diagnostics. My own non-vehicle experience suggests that you followed a pretty logical path to get where you ended up. So don't beat yourself up over that.
As I said I enjoy your videos – I have spent a lot of time recently watching diagnostic videos and some of the guys who make them are just complete dicks. It's nice to find someone who is level headed, grounded and does not consider himself a movie star.
You are obviously a guy who is happier talking to your camera than talking to other people.

It turned out to be a 1 blown fuse and 1 missing fuse but without the proper approach and troubleshooting you might still be looking for the "heres your problem lady" and taking stabs in the dark…so no it wasnt a useless video Thanks Eric

Ford r fucking stupid
I have a 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis GS i done changed everything for as brand new alternator radiator heater core hose evap core fix the complete oil unit ac compressor and condenser the car been driving fine for about 2 years of me having now she stopped starting so I thought it could it crankshaft sensor what could it be fuel pump maybe TPS idler air control valve
I know this is a two year old video, but I still learned from it. Eric, I think you took the right approach (like I would know) and you came to the right solution, even if it was ridiculous that the fuse was on the floor. Thanks for posting this one, maybe against your better judgement. There are still things to be learned. I really liked BOB for example, and even though I’m just a hobbyist, I just ordered one. Maybe I can impress someone with the blinking lights. Seriously, there is a lot of information in those lights.

If you want to know if the empty fuse slot is supposed to be not used, look to see if both holes have female pins in them. If they're not used, there will be one female pin only and the other cavity will be empty. If both cavities have a pin to receive a fuse, then the fuse is in fact missing. Just food for thought, but that's how I check at a glance before I go through the time to find a component list.

I have a crank and no start on 95 town car. I don't trust any of the mechanics around here, been burned a few times. Is it worth starting with just replacing all the fuses? I have fuel pressure and spark to spark plugs. Thanks for any guidance.
Your "Stupid Video" your words not mine. Actually helped me out. I have a friend that told me a strange story about the passenger side rear plug getting wet. It will make your Crown Vic. do all sorts of funny things. I am a witness. Take off the Coil Pack. Take the plug out, dry off everything very good, and WOW. She runs, drives Great. Thought I would share that one with you. Thanks.
