Come along with Eric O. as he leaves the SMA shop to go "out in the field" to another shop to have a look at a Chevy Express 3500 6.0 Cube van that will not start. Will it be the ECM, Cam Sensor, Crank Sensor, Broken Wire or maybe just a bad starter!? Stick around and find out!

It is a pleasure to see someone know what they are doing. Again you are good
How and what are you connecting to the fusebox
You are very efficient my friend wish I knew half of things you do.
Eric, do you ever use a signal tracer to try and find the break in the wire?
(If I can do it you can do it ) saying that
From a heated shop with a lots of tools
To being in the FIELD in the elements
You showed respect for what a common guy has to work with and
Has to go through to fix the vehicle.
Thank you!
I am surprised that you don’t use the Power Probe more often. You can be sure of a known ground and 12 volt source to test those wires and a quick push of a button would give you a good ground or 12 volt source. Love the videos so thank you.
How do auto parts stores get away with selling bad products or the wrong parts constantly?
Ditto @JimZZivny!
seems like that other shop gives up pretty easy on most repairs lol , good for Eric that they supply him with all the work . Makes SMA look pretty dam good to the customers.
Great job !!!
Cranking,but no start
I have a Chevy express 3500
I've been watching your videos
Hey I need your help
SUPERB 👍👍👍👍🍑🇺🇲
You did a fine job!
Well it is a Chevy…. 😅
Friggin Stud
This somehow is one of my favorite SMA videos so far.
User friendly. Very well done.
whos idea was it to put that ECM and fuse box under a damn master cylinder
The information on this channel is accurate and ericO explains it so well, it is easy to comprehend.
No lift for me, so rolling on the ground, I don't love it.
It's the real world video..sometimes you breakdown in the middle of nowhere..no lifts, lites, fancy tools..trying to pin point what problem is..love it
No wonder mechanic bills are so high they are making videos during it and charging you by the hour.
I agree with all the others… Eric understands how things work and knows what to check (with proper equipment that he knows how to use) to find where the problem is. None of this guessing stuff and just throwing some parts on it that doesnt fix anything…. I wish you lived near me cause you would for sure by my mechanic of choice….
Smart!
This was excellent to watch. I'm on the path to solving a similar rubix cube on the Lady's new van. Thank You For Teaching [in this field] 🙏🧰🛠⚕🎵🎶 ~C< 3)>>-Z->}
This guy is a pure wizard. Thank you for posting your wizardry.
One less vehicle you are willing to lay in the weeds for. Believe me you will come to the point when you refuse to lay on rocks just to look under a vehicle. Enjoyed the video. Reminds me of the few thousand I scruffed under.
I hope you got checked for ticks
That was so good; I actually have watched enough of these to understand it, wish I could think like this guy does though.
Good diagnosis. Good video.
Very nice job! It's always tougher when you're working out in the field even with the proper equipment, access is always a problem but you made light work of it, nice job once again!
Great job!
"I feel so DIY". Hahahaaa thats win. Im going to use it instead of "I feel so DIrtY" from now on.
Great vid again Mr O!!
Stay gold.
You the man Eric!
What was wrong with the car
Where can you that tool you are using. Great video great job.
Great video you should do more of these in the field videos very interesting
Can you help me out i got a 2002 Lincoln ls was told the fuel was bad hooked it to 12 volts and its week so i got a new but im not get 12 volts to the plug where the fuel pump plugs into fuse are good and i bypass the shut off switch but even with it plugged in i still dont any volts to the plug
Great video,really interesting.
👍👍🌟🌟🌟🌟👍👍
U get alot of vehicles other mechanics can't fix. So either your just that good or they're just that lazy and don't want to mess with it lol idk
Gm knows what they did, should be illegal.
5he most informative vid I've seen. Now if I could just figure out where the plugs are and if I needed to pull when I did my timming chain? Thanks
I’m having the same problem. So I hooked up one of those computers to see what was wrong. And what it said was a fuel trim lean bank one and cylinder 4 misfire. I checked the fuel pump and it’s working so wanted to know what you thought
Awesome vid… and shout out to DIY shade trees!
Your. Good Mann. Are you working late
On my Lumina the crank sensor wire got squished where it crossed from the rear side of the engine to the front side. Bad routing of the wire!
