Come along with Eric O at the SMA shop as he has a look at this Dodge Neon that was towed in as a "No Start, No Crank" It is not your typical coil or fuel pump so grab a cup of coffee as we hit this car with a methodical, logical diagnostic approach to track down the problem.

Good job and reasoning skills.
Damn thing needs to be a museum, probably is
Just watched this 5yr old video. IMHO it was one of your best diagnoses. And the fact you went for hard fix not quick and dirty. I liked having Hanna and Marie around in those days.
I liked the Neons when they were new in the 90s. They were fun little rentals. I would not have bought one, prefer to own a Toyota.
Great trouble shooting & patience!
THANK YOU BROTHER FOR REPOSTING THIS VIDEO. IT'S A GREAT WIRING DIAGNOSTIC TUTORIAL. BAD THING IS, WE DON'T ALL HAVE A SCANNER. GOD BLESS YOU BROTHER. 🙂💖
Love these trips you take and awesome fix Ivan! On to the next!
Your daughter looks at you with such love, or, she's looking at you and thinking…. You're doing it wrong dad, move over and let me show you how to do it….. LMAO
My srt4 neon after sitting for a while few hour's will crank start then shut off unless i disconnect negtaive battery cable and attach back it starts perfectly no codes could it be ecu issue?
Who is the young lady you ignored? 🤔
Turn on the radio…check the washing machine.
Nice diag
A neon ain't even worth working on…
Love your program I am a 70year old retired auto tech I read schematic could not afford the scanners I see you use keep the good work ip
What a douchebag why didn't you just check the PC 24 splicer34 into the c143 connector minus 11 ecm
Crying out loud the value of that omni is worth about half of what you're gonna charge for diagnosis.
I bill by the hour for electrical work, the first thing I do is print up the schematic
How how much would you charge for that?
No one on this earth is qualified to criticise your work.
Thanks for the video
Have a BMW 321I and everything is German. Cranks but no start and no com to scan tool. I suspect security breach because battery died.
Late reply to an old video, but you might want to try a seamstress's seam ripper to open up taped looms. Amazon/Google show all sorts of sizes and varieties.
The manufacturers know what they are doing.
i have a 2009 no crank but i can hear the bendix engage when i hook up battery relay 32 also make noise hook up battery and remove relay 32 bendix disengage put it bake in bendix engage
That leaf in the fender is driving me nuts! I know you are focused on other things like not cutting your finger off but I just can't take it!
Very KNOWLEDGEABLE
Thanks 👍

That car has had more hits than Elvis Presley. Anyway great job Hanna!! You had that fault nailed while Eric messed around and hadn't a clue what was going on there. 🙂 Happy new year yall.
“Ok that’s done, Now where is that woman you want me to wrestle?….good job. Your perserverance is noted.
Wizard and a genius. Is the Car legal in the USA with the mangled frame? I'm not sure it would be in the UK. Anyone from UK clarify for me at all? Fantastic video thanks.
You don't know nothin' ha ha ha 😆😅🤣
Every time I watch this channel I feel like I'm at the University of Auto Repair and I'd better study
Great video Eric: I have spent my life troubleshooting electronic & electric equipment, including radar & process control, & your trouble shooting actions are absolutely beyond reproach. Well done !
great job eric, you and hanna montana.
A dam oil pan on 2010 kia forte changed with car ramps all was going good till under the ac comprrsser bracket bang 2 12 point sockets mot to mention to get bracket off could only get in with wrench and half turn at a time. Never the less was a big pain in the ass.
I'll say it again – tone tracer. You inject a signal in the broken wire and then use a non-contact probe to run along the cable outer to find where it stops pinging
We've been using them in telco/electrical fiields for decades
After every video of yours, I say "Thank You!" Thank You for demystifying the work you do. It is a big help for us DIY guys. The good book says: "If you see a wise man, seek Him out; let your feet wear away his doorstep." or His Thumbs Up button. 🙂 "You say if I could do it, you could do it" – I say, Thank You!
Jasper… Can't get an engine for months right now or for the remaining three years of it's term.
how may hr billed. but she tuns. good job.
I had a similar job but the wire was broken right at the crimp in the connector. I went thew about the same crap you did in this video
What is the test light you use
This is why I like your videos so much. I feel like that you go the EXTRA MILE with repairs and videos. Keep up your great work! 👍
Poor ol Neon been thru the mill.
Can’t believe your patience. I would have spliced at ECM.
Gives me chills every time I see someone with a razor knife
I've got a tool that puts a pulse in the wire then sensor that you move down the harness till the beep stops. There is your break. Real time saver. Bought it off the snapon truck.
how do you bill for electrical diagnosis? do you bill hourly or give a quote of how long you think it will take upfront and stick to it?
