In this episode Mrs.O eats all of Eric's cookies then spits lunch out of her mouth... Ohhh yeah and Eric O. has a look at this 2008 GMC 2500HD That seems to be possessed. It has multiple power windows and power door locks that do not work. We also notice that a couple of the door speakers are not working along the way. Let's go have a look shall we!?

As much as Eric O disses my Dodge. It has more miles than this GMC and every switch and every engine component is still working. 5 doors and every window, door lock. I don't smoke. Well in the car anyways. The exhaust gas recirculation works. The pcv valve works. The infamous 3600 Pentastar and while I just bought the oil intercooler, water and oil sensor sensor I haven't put it in yet slight oil leak. Waiting till I can afford a new thermostat, and spark plugs. Set a code on the thermostat last fall, but you know I am old and it is still cold and no garage.
Really awesome job, keep it up!
So I have an 09 silverado 2500hd. My current problem is with the power locks and the keyless entry. I am currently in an auto tech program and this even has the instructor kinda scratching his head (mainly the keyless entry part). The build sheet direct from gm says there should be keyless entry. When I hook up the scan tool at the school it shows that the module is there and is good. There is no option for remote reprogram on the dash and when I try to reprogram through the scan tool it starts to do its thing and then the tool says "possibly wrong vehicle" even though it shows there are two remotes programmed in the trucks system. With the locks I replaced the drivers side switch and now you can at least here the actuators kind of want to work but arent working almost like they arent getting enough power and I only hear it when hitting the lock side of the switch and nothing from the unlock side. any help or tips would be appreciated.
Good video as always Eric O @SouthMainAutoRepairLLC
Come on Eric O asking where the cookies are I bet You already ate them Eric O LMFAO 🤣 @SouthMainAutoRepairLLC
Pore Sam and Henry always being blamed for issues and problems lol 😆 Eric O @SouthMainAutoRepairLLC
Working on a 2008 Suburban 2wd 5.3 , rear windows and rear Liftgate latch inoperable. I have a question, if I can see on my Solus Pro the rear windows take the signal when i use the master switch would that mean the BCM is receiving and sending the “signal” ? Same at the Liftgate latch, it will go from inactive to active when I press the button. Unfortunately I have zero history to know if they went out simultaneously. Checking on her more today, any tips are much appreciated ✌🏼. Great video BTW 👏🏼🙌🏼
😆😆😜😜
I had the same problem with my system and the damn thing turned out to be the radio outputs.
you too are hilarious.
I’m having the same issue on my 08 Silverado. All doors locks work except the driver side. Ive replaced the actuator with Amazon part and that didn’t work. I then ordered a gm part and it still doesn’t work. All fuses seem to be good and I do not see a break in the wires. Any advise?
I don’t smoke but can confirm the window switched being an issue. I took my switch apart, used a pencil eraser and cleaned the contacts, reassembled and all good. $0 spent. 😀
My 92 silverado is pushing 400k miles, and I had the windows switches kinda go hay wire so I installed crank windows. the old 5.7 tbi makes 200hp no power house, but man its reliable. Definitely don't make them like they use to. My uncle has a 09 GMC pickup, went threw a rear end, a fuel module, oil presser sensor, TPS sensors, and we recently did a fuel pump on it. And guess what the thing has 89,000 miles on it, its sad….
I worked for a Toyota dealership in 2009 and to replace the driver's electric seat on a Toyota tundra was $10000
Where did you get the schematic for the window/door locks? Mine is 2009 gmc 3500
It would sure help if automotive parts manufacturers made parts to last instead of making things so cheap! The other thing that is so asinine is the extreme mark up at the stealerships for OE parts. The height of greed I suppose. Even if you are a DIYer and want to use new OE parts you feel stupid paying probably twice what the new part is actually worth.
Will the electric window switch stop my truck from running? PCM has 12 volts in but NO 5 volt reference output. Could this be my driver main window switch. It is crusty from raining in on it. I tried to clean it. 2003 Silverado 5.3 liter stalled, cranks won't start. Replaced gas filter and lines, cam sensor, crankcase sensor, PCM, wires & plugs ?
Your wife know 😏 you .so you better watch out!
When did chevy have a GMC on the stering wheel ?
"no hate crime here"…laughing
Where did you get the wireing diagram??
In my saab there was corroded pins.. you had to drill and split case.. and then melt back together. Easier then 400 dollar part.
It was the door lock actuators.. they all work together… was glad it wasn't the drivers door
You know his wife after watching this video was saying I knew you didn't quit smoking 😂
Insulting your wife and kids is not gonna make your day go better. When you are having a bad day, just do the work and not the video.
A big improvement in your videos would be to put a switch in the outside phone ringer.
Leave it off unless you have no one in the office.
Any advice?
My volvo s40, 2004, mirrors do not turn to right. Only turns left.
Fuses seems fine.
A friend of mine who was an engineer for GM said the electrical components were garbage.
My envoy has all same problems including dead odb port. Half fuses have no power. Its been a fucking nightmare. I had another car for 17 years and only thing i replaced besides normal brakes, battery, was a fuel pump. GMC absolutely is an electronic shitshow.
Thanks, this helped me a lot. Still have issue with the passanger door lock, it in locked driver's side and locks it but nothing on pass side, replaced door actuator.
So did the door lock actuator cause other issues with windows or mirrors? I have a 2008 sierra, and my drivers side door will not lock, mirror does not function and window will not roll up. I already replaced the window switch and checked all the wires in the door jamb
lol cookie ninja got m.. need a cookie cam
Government Mandated Crap GMC
Just saved me 500 bucks..thanks man!
For anybody watching this with bad window switches, they don't necessarily NEED to be replaced. They're mechanical and the copper contacts get dirty/corroded. You can unclip the switch and lift up a flat rubber piece that holds contacts and simply clean them.
They had a recall on those modules but can’t remember the years.
LOL, replace main switch not a big deal like you done
anyway have a good luck
thank you for sharing us this video
They came with electrical problems bad connections and bad ground.
what if the passenger rear works with it's switch, but not from the drive master control switch 2004 gmc Yukon?
I would love to see a drivers window motor replacement for the 91-96 Caprice/Buick…
I was able to remove the drivers door panel on my son in laws 08 Silverado truck, pretty sure you can too…
Mine was permanently activated through Clucodes on Instagram he's the best 💀💯💯

If they didn't make crap, you wouldn't have a job, lol
Hi Eric I thought I would share with you some info that might put some dollars in your pocket. I am a retired gm tech and advisor of 46 yrs working for Chevrolet. I have watched a lot of your videos and think your a very Honest and diligent technician. Fyi you can buy gm factory parts and ac delco stuff from Rock Auto and pass some savings on to your customers as well make yourself better money on labor. You are a genuine guy and you truly care for your customers. I have saved thousands of dollars on my chevy's by buying gm parts from Rock Auto. If you have used them I apologize. I have never seen you order from them. I know turn around time on certain Jobs dictates you buy from local dealers and advanced auto parts which is the worst parts company bar none. So keep on wrenching brother and love your videos. P.S. you little girl is an absolute doll. She loves that camera/ Merry Christmas and a Joyous new year to you and family
It's ok I know what you mean pay out 40 to 60K on a fairly new truck and fairly low mileage and switches and lock are clapped out and nothing worth what you ended up paying for it and they over charge for the crappy parts too
Where can I get some of those blue banana jack leads to "front probe" it?
U need to. Fix it with hay wire
It's. Got. A. Bad cooperator switch
