Hey I had the same problem with my 2005 Mazda 6 v6, I swapped out the fan control module and it basically did nothing for me. Any tips on what else it could be? Thank you

I have a 2010 mazda 6 2.5L both fans isn't working brand new assembly. I had the other brand new assembly returned because the cooling fan would stay on. Like wtf

Do you still need some like computer stuff to perform some updates or to erase some codes before replacing the CFM? or just directly replace the module itself?
I have a 2006 Mazda 6 ,my fan runs all the time from the time it's cranks and only turns after shutting off the engine, do you think this could possibly fix my problem also?

QQ, how do you know that the Fan will turn on w/o the AC on? I had just replaced my 2004 Mazda 6S FCM and I see both fans only working when I turn AC ON. Thank in advance for your support. amazing videos!!!
Anyone measure the fan motor resistance? Want to make sure motor isn't shorting out.. mine is at 0.4ohms
You should have just left the rate nest, it was helping keep the car quiet seeings how that's just a resonance chamber that you pulled it from and air doesn't actually get pulled though that location which makes it even funnier when your like oh this cars going to breath better now! Lol. Great videos though, keep up the good work!

Hi! Thank you so much for this video. We replaced the module and it took care of the issue of the running out of control fans. But, now there's a slight smell, like burning coolant? Been a few months, Coolant level hasn't changed. What do I need to look for?

Ironically I find this video after I diagnosed and replaced mine a week ago on my 2008 Mazda 6 V6. If anyone wants to replace thiers make sure youu get the part from Mazda. They even knew about this and made updated parts
Will this cause the car to over heat if the fan control module is bad
they put it behind the radiator so it can get hot lol but i guess its only getting hot air half the time until the thermostat opens up again and puts more hot coolant in the radiator.
I have an 03 Mazda6 the fans would not kick on I have now replaced the module and both fans and as soon as you start the car they go into high and stay on high mode I've also tried to warranty the module with no change
okay here's one for you I have an 04 Mazda 6 we've replaced the both fans and the control module before the fans wouldn't kick on and it would overheat now the fan stays on high without the AC on and with AC on kicks on and off of High another note is my scanner shows zero fan signal any help would be appreciated

This was the first video of yours that I have watched. It was the exact problem that I was having on my 05. Your step by step walk through is excellent. 10-15 min, including just poking around a bit, with a 10mm ratcheting wrench and a flat head screwdriver and I was done. I got better performance from the the car immediately. Thank you for the knowledge transfer!

My '05 Mazda 6 V6 just started doing the same thing yesterday. 176,000 miles and I am the only owner. There was actually a recall for this module for cars between 2003-2005. Apparently Mazda replaced mine during a service in 2009 so they won't replace it again for free. Got the part off RockAuto for $60 and will replace it myself-The dealer quoted $150 part and $100 labor hahaha. Shouldn't be hard with my aftermarket intake. I have all sorts of room in that area. Japan??? u do mean Ford….. Ford does own Mazda….. it's just labeled and part #'d under Mazda. A tip u can tell it's a ford product…. 3.0 is a ford engine and so is the 2.3L
I have the Crescent brand version of those pliers at work. I don't use them much, but they have saved my tail more than once.
