Was this the debut of Mrs. O?
My matrix has 274k. Bought it at 143k haven't changed the transmission fluid. I'm paranoid that if I do it will start slipping. Should I do this refill or not?
Geez i forgot the clip really tho
I'm confused do you need to buy a new strainer or just clean the used one and put it back on then add a new gasket?
YOU sir are the most straight forward common sense gear-head I've watched on YouTube! I've been a youtube watcher for MANY years and I just slubscribed to my first channel…YOURS>. Thankyou
Wow who knew you were wearing a dress and had long hair in your hat.
I would really like to know your thoughts about not putting Toyota transmission fluid and using Castrol instead. THANK YOU! 🙂
What do you use for Cleaner in the parts Washer Eric O? @SouthMainAutoRepairLLC
I always substitute Lucas transmission for some of the fluid.
Thanks for this vid. I bought a new Vibe in June 2003 and it's still my daily driver. They are great cars!
nice to hear about the additional tips/lessons from the past
Tks bud great video
Thank you!!
Excellent video/tutorial.
What fluid for 1.8l automatic?
How do you have a 10mm?!?!? Magician!
I want to say thank you for the video. I just changed the transmission filter on my 2007 Toyota Matrix, 100K miles, and your advice came in real handy, (left two nuts in the front and back and used Permatex on the pan to hold the gasket). Thanks so much from New Albany, IN!
The gasket spray is unnecessary in most applications. With a few bolts through the holes, the pan goes on fine with the gasket lined up. I don't envy the next person who has to scrape that old one off.
Great advice.
oh mate why are so sad ? bad day ?
Trying to keep my 06 matrix alive for as long as I can!
Thx for the video
Good
Thanks pal !
Ahh I love these old SMA videos. I love that your videos have always been well documenting and you always do a great through job.
I would suggest to hand start bolts before shooting it !!!
Good job
Cool. Great video
Is it okay to use synthetic fluid when replacing the fluid?
Is that a new strainer or did you just clean it?
Great video!
do u have a video on why my check engine light keeps comeing on even after I changed my mass air flow sensor which the computer told me to do
No flush?
where u get that sweet electric torque wrench
NOW I am going to do the fluid n filter to my 04 Matrix that I just got for $400 . Much easier than I thought and I cant believe a drain plug … and Im in love with that torque wrench . lol
You forgot new crush washer…..lol
Great video but u killed me using the gun to start the bolts on the filter lol
Why would you replace the gasket unless its leaking if its not broke don't fix it…
An older SMA video but still just as good!!
Nice work👍
Oh how I wish my cars had drain plugs.
Great videos, big fan. What about an AWD? I have an 06 AWD Matrix and wasn’t sure if there’d be more to do. Thanks 👍🏼👍🏼
Great Job Thank you
This is perfect!
Job well done. Thanks
What brand torque wrench was that? Thanks.
What if you don't have a dip stick? I have a 2010 Chevy and no dip stick. I bought the car used. Don't know when or if this service was ever done. Any suggestions?
Shouldn’t you start bolts by hand to prevent crossthreading instead of drilling it on?
This was a great tutorial and helped me immensely!
What a lovely and informative watch 👌
