for the poor's among us like me that's a light bend and maybe could be adjusted out in older trucks up to like 1995-1999 but on new stuff with all the death wobble problems that develop i would 100% go for a front end rebuild

its why i like leaf springs everything stays in place

Stop. It's level. Wait. Rotate back. STOP. There.. Level! Are you satisfied with my help?

The steering wasn't centered apart from that everything was perfect.

One of my favorite videos 📹 ❤️, like the music 🎶 while you work, learned a lot about front end alignment, thank you 😊 for a nice 👍 video

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Tishrh 303 says:

you would think being a "off road" vehicle like the jeeps they would put better components on them at the factory…..what am I saying, they all that way…..foolish me

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Thomas Fisher says:

No idea why Jeep hasn't released a Road Princess version for the Basic B*ches using it to only go to shopping (also every West Point graduate's first vehicle) and a *Real Off Road model of the Wrangler. Everyone I know that takes it off road ends up spending another $100k upgrading everything anyway. 🙂

I have a 2015 wrangler and I think I have the same problem. We had a Jeep Event and I may have gotten a little aggressive on the trail. My steering wheel is cocked and it pulls. My track bar has a dent in it. One thing I love about Jeeps is how uncomplicated they are. I'm not a mechanic, but I was able to wrap my head around how every part of the suspension works. Also, it is possible to correct the camber with geometry correction brackets. They are a must on lifted Jeeps. They locate the control arms so the camber can be adjusted, they also adjust the pinion angle so the front drive shaft isn't binding. (Note: It's either camber or castor that the geo brackets help fix. I can't remember which)

What ball joint separator do u use jw

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Pluto's Forest says:

I'm jealous of any vehicle with a solid front axle, but subpar parts accompanying it doesn't make sense. They should improve their build and not make customers pay all that money.

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars J IJzer says:

sorry i not agree with treat lock it should be never seas its a off road vehicle it need to be adjusted regulary

  16. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Dr. Skip Kazarian says:

Just one question: what is there (mechanically) to prevent the two large jam nuts from shaking loose considering the beating and vibration that off-roading creates? Another great and very educational video….also, the narrative (that's what she said) was killer.

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Joshua D says:

lol, that ball joint separator was exciting

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars G Raymond says:

Uses tool that requires set up and tippy taps with hammer, could have jus tippy tapped the ball joint stud with hammer and cut out the extra work. Hmmmmmm

I think I would go thru the comments and not copycat.. It's really irritating and personally I think others are just writing what someone else wrote and another wrote to make them seem educated obviously if your watching this video you either know something about mechanics work or your interested in learning… In either event… Let's see your videos…

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars The Lanavishnu Orchestra says:

I started watching your vids because it was nice to watch a technician do techniciany things. But I've actually picked up a lot of info about the mechanic stuff and how cars are put together and how they get fixed because you're a good explainer. Click!

  23. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Noe Aguinaga says:

I read somewhere your not supposed to use an impact on ball joints… They have a torque rating and if they don't your just supposed to tighten the castle nut till point of pin able to slide thru… There car will settle like it does and the plastic joint cup won't be under stress and the not won't be over smashed.

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Douglas Riddle says:

I see you using your toys to take the tyerod ends off, in my younger days we would smack the side of it with a 3 pound sledge and it would pop off

Was slightly impressed.. until I saw rough country….awful lol

  26. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Joy Chung says:

I just wonder which brand you use the ball joint separate tool? I use few of them it either broke in halt or the thread in the bolt got eat up.

That phone is fucking annoying , smash it

  28. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Martin Brewin says:

I noticed you put the old nuts back on, they look what like what we call nyloc nuts in the UK, we always put new ones on as the nylon locking material does not work as well when reused.

  29. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars XxAILASxX says:

    There two situations.
In the case of anti-seize and loctite “a little dab will do ya”
In the case of grease and silicone caulking “the bigger the gob the better the job”

  31. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars S JP says:

Hmmm, reusing nylocs tho? I would on my own car, but a customer who knows his shart (like this one) could easily have a whinge like…

  33. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Xdinked says:

There are some really simple but brilliant little tools out there aren't there! I love the separator that you used to release the tire rod threads. Simple but genius really imo

  35. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Richard Green says:

I missed the comment about all the components had been upgraded except the drag link and tie rod. Simple. They were functioning and the Teaflex parts you installed retail for about $1000.

  48. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Rags722 says:

Funny thing about steering components that we found out back in the 70's racing dirt street cars. The more you beef things up, it helps you find the next weakest component. We used to break tie rod ends on a regular basis, so we beefed them up by welding angle iron to the ends. Unfortunately, the next weakest link was the steering box. Steering boxes cost a lot more to replace than tie rod ends.
